I have to say this is the best Dollar General I have been too. The store is well stocked up and organised. And No boxes laying around on the ground. The staff was really friendly when I asked for help. The public bathroom was clean. Also, I found the prices were a bit cheaper compared to other ones in the area.

New review: stop opening new stores and properly staff the ones you already have, with 2 location opening within 5-10 minutes of this one this year I hope this one will be shutting down, DG pushes local businesses out of business opening so many stores that are ran by skeleton crews.Old review: Cheap and messy, some of the workers are nice but others seem to allways be grumpy, they usually leave only one person to run the store, the management sucks. Good if you need something quick and cheap but I usually go elsewhere.

This place is never open, been here once and tried multiple other times. The amount of cars I see driving by going in and out due to being closed all the time is crazy.

Most of the staff are great! Stock is getting better. Keep an eye out for opened food/ general items and sales or regular items not ringing up correctly. Keep an eye out for expiration dates also. Keep up the improvements!

Oh my God. Does this store have zero employees? Does corporate ever visit this store? There are so many rolltainers in the aisles, you can't get aground anything. Does dollar general not send help to these stores who lack the staff to put products on the floor for their customers? If this company paid a living wage maybe they could get workers, maybe they could get people who care about their jobs. I will never visit this store again.

This visit was a lot better than in past visits. The store was clean, the shelves were stocked, and the new manager- he was awesome! Hiring him will make the store much much better!! But the store does need more room for inventory. Instead of setting on carts blocking aisles. Keep up the great work you've started.

This place is hit and miss. While it has gotten better, it still needs organizing. I personally feel they need to expand in order to properly display everything they are selling. I have often times gone in to find the Isles almost completely blocked with stock carts. The staff is all really friendly but they seem overworked and stressed. They are the real reason to choose this store.

While the workers here are usually great, they are severely under staffed. There is constant inventory blocking the aisles. Not to mention their sign needs fixed, over half the letters are out, which makes this beautiful area feel a bit run down.

The gentleman working as cashier has amazing customer service skills. Best experience I've ever had at any dollar general stores. Not just me but he was warm and inviting to every single customer and they where busy. I didnt get his name. He deserves recognition.

Just wanna give a shout out to the new store manager here in interlochen DG her name is Rita she’s really got this place put back together and running smooth,I miss her at our store in chums but she’s doing an amazing job over there! She’s rocking it!!!

Sad store, very disorganized, seems run down compared to other locations in Traverse City. Employees have all walked out at times causing store closures. Constantly churning through employees. Currently they are only open until 5:30pm so I can’t even use the store anymore as they are closed so early. Interlochen residents working a 7 or 8-5 job can’t get even get from TC to Interlochen DG before they close. Such a disappointment as it would be great for the community.

Dollar General is so many things. Lately I've been riding my bike and stopping at Dollar General to get chocolate milk. It's easier in and out than a grocery store and the prices are good. Lately I've been noticing that the price on the shelf doesn't match the price at checkout. When I point out the difference, they always give me the lower price, so I still think it's a good place to shop.

The manager I believe her name is Ruth. This woman is awesome! She always goes above and beyond to make sure my needs are met. Definitely a 5 star employee.

Employees were great, the manager refused to accept my return that I had a receipt for - a purchase I had made earlier that day and she was the cashier who checked me out, saying it is store policy that you must give your phone number to do all returns. I gave her my receipt, my drivers license, but put my foot down on my phone number and asked to see a copy of the policy, she got angry & rude and said they didn't have a copy posted anywhere or in the store, but that it was online at their website. I went online on my phone, read the policy, no where did it require a phone number, I asked her to show the policy to me that stated that and she not only refused but threatened to ban me from the store for arguing with her.

The staff there is usually always friendly and helpful. If they don't have an item, they typically can direct you to a place that does. I enjoy seeing their smiling faces.

Almost always has what I need when I go in there. Makes it easy to just run in and grab and go. I would give 5 stars if the aisles were wider and/or free of boxes and other clutter. With boxes and stock being all over the aisles and can be difficult to maneuver around the store with a shopping cart when you need more than an arm load of items. Most stores have friendly and helpful employees. I would, however, steer clear of the Frankfort, Michigan store as it is one of the messiest stores I have been in and it is a very new store so this is a bit disheartening. Also, the employees of that store lack in people skills both toward their own co-workers and the public.I prefer to go to the Interlochen, Michigan location to do my shopping.

When i walked up everyone was outside smoking. I walked in and there were 2 people in line at the register waiting. I went and grabbed what i needed and went to the register. The guy was rude. No greeting or anything. He rang my stuff up and i cracked a joke thinking maybe he is having a bad day. He rolled his eyes at me. Said my total so i handed him a 10 and a nickel. He yanked the 10 out of my hand and the nickel went flying. Instead of searching i just grabbed another one. He handed me my change and didn't even spin the bag thing so i could grab my stuff. I said very loudly hope you have a great day thanks for coming and he didn't even acknowledge me. Will take my business else where from now on.

This place is a couple blocks away so the kids will run in often since they can walk. But I really don't like to. Aisles are always crammed with merchandise that doesn't have any place to go. Prices are outrageous for a dollar store. Some prices are higher than the Tom's grocery store, and thats ridiculous. Aldi has driven Wal-Mart's prices down so I guess I'm spoiled... I can't pay $5 for a gallon of milk. The manager here is a nice lady who is doing her best. But some of the other employees have left me scratching my head....

I live in Interlochen and I am embassesed of this store.i went in there on Friday the 23rd of June and the store is a complete mess.the floor has not been moped in 3 years.i actually had to move a box out of my way to look behind it to see what was on the shelf.broken glass on the shelf.and the employees are not friendly.please get some help in here and get this store cleaned up so people who live in Interlochen are not embassesed to go in here.

Good place for basic necessities. Biggest danger: watch package sizes. Some items are bargains because the box is smaller. Vitamins and sundries are usually good bargains.

The staff in Dollar General have been, really nice, very helpful in looking up items also check out pretty darn quick too.
