Small town fudge and creamery with big-time flavors! Take a step back into the 50s with this MUST stop place! The employees are top-notch and very nice! The floats take you back to a simpler time of drive thrus and soda shops. Was at the local state park for 4 days, and we had ice cream ,floats, and candy from here at least 8 times.

I'm sure drost's chocolate is more famous for their chocolates than ice cream, but I went there for ice cream on a cold fall day. Be sure to check out the four flavors they have on special which they order from a not so local but Michigan Creamery. I sampled three of the four and they were all deliciously special.The antiques scattered around the establishment is a nice touch.

Open year round. They have a good selection of chocolates, fudge, ice cream and maple products. They will ship your purchases for you. Service was great. Store was clean. Fudge was creamy and so delicious. My great uncle loves the maple nut fudge.

We stopped here on the way home from Mackinac island once and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. This was without a doubt the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life. The s’mores and the bumpy cake flavors were so insanely good. Big pieces of bumpy cake thrown in to the ice cream and same with the s’mores-pieces of marshmallow cream and graham cracker crust. I still dream of it to this day and can’t wait to make it back soon.

Best ice cream in town! I would highly recommend the chocolate dipped waffle cone and the cookies and cream ice cream! We also stopped inside the chocolate store where we were greeted with samples. The sea foam chocolate and caramel corn are to die for, this place was definitely worth stopping by! Staff was also super friendly and attentive!

Love love love this place! Best chocolates and other goodies, I have to buy truffles at least twice a year (I live 6 hours away), and the homemade ice cream is the best around! The staff is always suggesting new sundaes and shake flavors to try and they love to talk about how they make everything. I just love that this place exists!

This fabulous place in town is warm and inviting. All of the individual service is very nice. Product knowledge is a plus. Well done.I love this shop. It's variety is wide and deep like the river near-by. The Peanut Butter fudge was phenomenal! Highly recommended.I want continued success for this business. I've been coming here since I was a little kid, and while the flavors have changed a few times since then, the quality of the ice cream and chocolates has remained exceptional. Awesome selection. Open year round. Have a wide variety of local products. I was told today, I believe he was the owner, that they will have a selection of local made ice cream from Indian River coming this summer. Great atmosphere and great prices. Shop and eat local! Also, he was super sweet to my 3 year old who was quite curious about all the flavors of ice cream.

Nice people, good quality chocolates, good selection, OPEN ALL WINTER (only place to get an ice cream cone in the winter), prices high. Tends to attract the older and more traditional visitor crowd. Small amount of seating in and out....seems to handle crowds in the summer well.

This was my second visit, and I was delighted by the Drost gang's willingness to custom pack a small (8-count) box of truffles and creams! These were *pristine* over a campfire and bourbon, and even lasted well over my next couple days of motorcycling

Not well mark to order your ice cream, the two malts I got was mix up very well. There large are.more like most would call a medium. The cost was high for each of us hem. Save your money and wait in line at the dairy Mart down the road. Better ice cream and price.

Absolutely out of this world chocolate and candy shop. You absolutely have to try some of the locally made ice cream!! WORTH IT!! They host a lot of locally made products including some great organic maple syrup and locally roasted organic coffee!! My mom likes to go in for their fresh popped popcorn. I dig on the chocolate covered coffee beans myself!!

I had an ice cream cone on Sunday and went back Wednesday to buy chocolates for myself and as gifts. The ice cream is great and hand-dipped truffles & buttercremes are amazing! They also feature local maple syrup and mixes. The staff were friendly and efficient.

This is our "must" when up north vacationing. Great, cheap ice cream (hard style, about 20 flavors), but awesome chocolate! Hand dipped, home made, extensive assortment, what's not to love? Yes, you can get better fudge at the big fudge shops in Mackinaw City, but not chocolate. Delicious, delicious, delicious!!
