We've had to board our cat twice and she did well there. It's a nice animal getaway. They spend time playing with her everyday. Only thing I didn't like was that I got back to town early and I couldn't get her until Monday because they are closed on the weekend. Still worth 4 stars

Pet-Ritz is fabulous!! Our dog just loves going there for Daycare and boarding. The staff, even early in the morning, is cheerful and greet the dogs with hugs and kisses. Our Labrador eats that up. They are also very helpful with training tips.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET HERE. I have brought my chocolate lab there for years and cannot trust them any longer. The last time she stayed was about a month ago, and when I brought her home she was cowering for days and had a huge scab on her nose, when I inquired none of the staff could tell me why. I hoped it was a one time occurrence. Today, I was scheduled to drop off at 11:30am. There’s a gate that staff let you through once you text your arrival. As soon as I rolled down the window my dogs tail stopped wagging.. (red flag#1). Then I waited for 30 min texting and calling at the gate with no answer (red flag#2) At first I was frustrated but then became worried because I could hear what sounded like 100 dogs barking and howling and sounding VERY unhappy (red flag#3) My lab and I started on foot towards the building (it’s a bit of a walk from gate to building) as we walked I noticed there weren’t any dogs playing outside (red flag#4). I am an RN so my initial concern was that something happened to the staff.. there are tons of dogs barking, not one was outside playing, and no answer at the gate (which I was scheduled to be at 30 min prior) As I approached the building I could hear and see staff at the desk talking and laughing. One came outside to greet us. I explained my concern for the barking dogs and the lack of response to customers at the gate and she blew it off. I asked for the manager to make sure they were aware. Her response was “this happens sometimes” completely disregarding my concerns. I cannot leave my dog there anymore and it makes me sad to imagine what she went through when she was there a month ago. We walked away and will not be returning to a place that neglects their unhappy, caged in animals. - the photo is of my lab. This is when her tail stopped wagging. The window was down.. what dog doesn’t put their head out of the window when it’s down and they smell happiness? This is a scared dog not my happy one.

Pet Ritz has been doing Doggie Daycare for Sarge for a year now, they are so fantastic with him and I love the monthly events they have that they contribute to a local non profit, they care and give back! This month in November the month of Gratitude, they are donating to Toys for Tots❤️

I have a pitbull mix, and lots of boarding businesses won't even assess him before saying no. He's a shy, sweet little dog. Pet-Ritz was recommended by my vet (this is where she boards her dogs), and they were wonderful. They took excellent care of my dog for 3 days, bathed him and gave me a report of his stay at check-out. I cannot more highly recommend Pet-Ritz if you need to board your pet.

My Great Dane was very happy but at 6 months old it cost over $600 for 12 days and I wasn't allowed to see him or show him to my close friends or family.(I live out of state and he was imported from Vienna). I was in town to assist caring for my Grandma on Hospice and when she passed I really wanted to see my dog, the staff kept telling me no it was forbidden but a manager would call and let me know if they would allow me to see him since my grandma had died. She never did and when I finally got a hold of her she said no. "There's no place for me to see him." He was very well taken care of, just left a bad taste in my mouth and there were added fees not discussed.

I cannot say enough good things about the Pet Ritz. Rocky has been going to daycare there twice a week since he was a puppy. The property is beautiful with lots of room for dogs to run and play outside in two very large fenced yards or inside the big barn when the weather's bad. I love that they have a secure gate to get on the property so I don't worry that someone might sneak in and steal him. They also make sure everyone is up to date on vaccines. Rocky loves going to the Pet Ritz and I know he is safe there so I don't have to worry about him. They are his other family. Everyone that works there really loves the animals just like family. You won't regret trusting the Pet Ritz with your beloved pets.

I have an anxious velcro breed dog who howls whenever I leave home. I tried a few boarding facilities in the area. Pet ritz is one of very few that she comes back from acting normal and not super stressed out. Pet ritz spent extra time and energy to make my dog feel more comfortable. My dog is happy to see the staff there when we arrive. The hours are challenging for pick up sometimes since they aren't always open on Sundays, but I still go here because my dog trusts them.

I have boarded my two dogs at the Pet-Ritz since the end of 2020. Father's Day weekend of this year I received a call that my husky got attacked by my other dog. My two dogs have been together since they were little and never once have had an accident. Since the day I received the call of the accident, my poor husky has had many visits to the vet and is still recovering months after. I was out of state when I got a call stating that I needed to pick them up right away because of how badly my husky was hurt and they weren't sure of how long she had been bleeding. They would not provide me pictures of her either. I told them that I could not get a flight back to Michigan right away, but was told prior that they had a vet on staff, however that was not the case.One of the workers took my husky to the vet. The vet told me that someone needed to stay with her overnight. I told boarding that I would be there the following day. They told me that I would have to pay an extra $400 for someone to stay there with her. I asked if they have cameras so I could see what happened and they told me no, not where the kennels are. I was also told I was not allowed to see where my dogs are boarded because it's a liability for the company.I had always paid for their luxury suite and top package, so both of them could be together and they had stayed there over 10 times. I was told that only those two go outside together and that was since day one. I truly believe that I was lied to and that other dogs are boarded together when the company tells you they aren't.I put my trust in them too much and now my poor baby has to suffer and I'm paying for it. It's very unfortunate that I will truly never know what happened that day.I would highly suggest not boarding your animals with this company.

I love this place! Wendy and her team are always friendly and welcoming. Doggy Daycare has been an awesome experience for my GSP. He is well socialized and comes home TIRED from playing with his friends!!! I have also boarded him as well and had no issues. I trust them to take care of my fur baby.

Our puppies absolutely love going to pet ritz to play. All u have to say is do u want to go to school and see your friends and they run to the door and wait for us to get the leashes they get so excited!!! Everyone is happy to see them when they get there and the girls are always tired after 😊 We love everyone there and u can tell they truly love our girls!!! They also do fun party days and the girls are extra tired after those days 😊 We haven’t had the need for boarding yet but the puppies go to daycare a few days a week so we have been going there regularly for 8 months with no issues. I can truly enjoy the fact that my girls are in good hands and having a blast while I can enjoy a break from the craziness 🤪

Had to change a previous review of loving this location to completely loathing them! Would give zero stars if I could. Had my dog scheduled to be there for a week. Spoke with them a week prior, and they told me they would call my vet to get his shot record. I even offered to do it myself, and they said, "Oh no, we will take care of all of that for you." They even confirmed with me the day before that they would have my pup. Cut to day of.....I show up at the appropriate time, 5pm, to drop him off to then be asked if I had his shot record. I said "Well no, I'm sorry, I was under the impression you would take care of that." To be told,"Your vet closed at 2 today, so we have no way of getting them, so we can't take him. " Needless to say, I was furious and had to leave my pup home alone with a neighbor to check in. NOT RELIABLE AT ALL! Would not recommend it unless you want to do all the work for them. The worst part is that they could have cared less, and I NEVER heard from the owner for an apology at all. I had used them 10 years ago with no issues and am so disappointed with my last experience that I WILL NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Awesome pet facility. I have utilized Pet Ritz with all my dogs from 1999 to now. Lodging, grooming, and day care too. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about breeds. My dogs have always gotten so excited when we enter the gate. They are very well taken care of and get a lot of attention. Top notch! Thank you so much Pet Ritz!!

When I spoke with Wendy, she went over the luxurious amenities they would offer my puppy.Upon arrival, I did bring my puppy to the front door, which was the wrong entrance. There was a black cat that attacked my puppy, causing her to yelp.I found the correct entrance and was greeted outside the door. They required me to remove her collar and harness, which I understand is their policy but it would have been nice to have it "checked" for when I picked her up... because I did take a different car and ended up leaving her collar behind.I also wasn't able to leave her with a small baby blanket and her fav plush toy, which would have given her a sense of home.My puppy was there for 2 nights. A text or email update would have been a nice touch. I paid extra for puppy play time. I asked 2 different times what her play sessions would look like and it was very brief "she will get 2 separate play sessions a day." Okay but for how long... around what times? Are staff members also engaging with the group dog play?When we picked Penny up and brought her home, I was hoping she would be sleepy and content from playing so hard. She was a big ball of crazy energy. And not just -- excited to be home energy. She gets nippy and jumpy if she doesn't get exercise and she was an absolute menace. Makes me wonder how much crate time she actually had... but I'll never know.We paid a pretty penny for this experience and I feel like it was overpriced.They have a nice setup but need to focus more on the comfort of the fur parents too.

Pet-Ritz is the best boarding facility I have found. My two dogs have stayed there for short weekend trips and longers stays as well for the past three years. They have had great experiences with their staff, and I highly recommend them for your pets. My dogs are never uneasy when I drop them off and are very happy when I pick them up. Their grooming facility is also excellent. It is definitely a 5-star vacation resort for my dogs, which makes my vacation that much more enjoyable knowing I don't have to worry about them.

I was very happy with my experience at Pet-Ritz and felt they took very good care of my dog. The people that worked there were very kind and helpful, showed us all around, and I really felt comfortable that my dog would be in good hands. The setting is beautiful and the owners provide a number of services for exercising and grooming pets. I would definitely take her there again and would highly recommend it to others.

Pet Ritz is good! A little on the pricier side but they offer great care of our pup. Cannot comment on their service from personal experience because I've never stayed there overnight myself, but the dog seems happy whenever we pick her up. The place is clean and the grounds are beautiful. Our go-to place for doggy boarding.

We have two labs that need attention and fun activity every day - we are happy the Pet Ritz does a great job of giving them this when we are out of town. There is a lot of attention paid to ensuring the dogs health and happiness when they are away from home. The staff is super friendly and competent. It is comforting to know that our dogs are taken good care of while we are away.

The Pet Ritz is the nicest place that I've ever boarded my dog. It is a little pricey, but well worth it to know that she'll be treated like a queen. The staff has always been super friendly and courteous and really go out of their way to please you and your pet.

What a wonderful place! It's very clean and the staff is great! We recently switched to Pet-Ritz from another local kennel and we are glad we did. We have a very old dog that has special needs, and they know exactly how to care for her. I would recommend Pet-Ritz to all that love their dogs :)

I boarded my pet for the first time ever and I have a bad taste with boarding because of Pet Ritz. I had a great experience up until it was time for me to pick up my pet. My family was out of town for a wedding and the day we came home, the U.P. was blasted with a blizzard of 8-12 inches. We left at 4 in the morning to ensure we could get home for my pets pick up time.. what would normally take us 8 hours to get home took us just over 12 hours. I called the facility letting them know I was going to be 20 minutes late TOPS, and they REFUSED to release my pet to me as "no one could stay slightly over". I also spoke to the manager, Amber, to see if there was anything that could be done and I even offered to pay for an extra night for the 20 minute delay... which they refused as well. What had already been an extremely stressful day, my day was made even more stressful thinking I could not pick up my pet and get him readjusted back home after being away for 4 days. There was no remorse for our long drive and no understanding. The worst part is that they told me they have employees there after their office hours, but they were not authorized to release my pet to me. I would understand following policy if I was going to be an hour late, but I would've only been 10 minutes late come to find out and there was no wiggle from them. I will be sure to tell anyone who asks me where to board their pets to not come here as they clearly do not care for the pets best interest and well being. At the end of the day, they only cared about getting out of the office on time.

We've used Pet-Ritz to board our mutt twice now, and we could not be more satisfied. It was easy to tell Mahler liked it there because it was difficult to get him in the car to go back home. The facilities are wonderful, the staff was friendly, and he clearly enjoyed himself. They also offer a bath service, which was a heaven-send. Highly recommended!

I have been using Pet Ritz for the last couple of years. Our dogs had never been boarded previous to using pet ritz and I was petrified to leave them some where. After reading reviews and touring the facility we decided to use them and I am glad that we did. We have had to leave our dogs for 2 weeks at a time and I was a mess but they came home happy and excited and seemed as though everything went great. I am thankful to have found a place where I do not have to feel nervous the entire time I am away from my animals. Thank you Pet Ritz!

Our Lab loves going to Pet-Ritz. The staff and facilities are wonderful. Our Lab has a lot of energy and loves the play times. When we pick her up and the dogs are all playing outdoors she doesn't want to leave. We would highly recommend Pet-Ritz if boarding your pet. The next thing we want to try is Doggie Day Care. It's nice to bring her home tired out from having so much fun.
