I picked my merchandise, went to the register to pay. I gave the guy my money including change. He shorted me change. I said, oops, you didn't give me the correct change. He told me, "yes I did!" I said I gave you a quarter and a dime. He said, "no you didn't!" I said, I sure did because that's all the change I had. He got ticked off at me and said, "I don't have a dime in my nickels and I don't have a nickel in my dimes so you didn't give me a dime!" I said, you know what, obviously you need MY change more then I do. Keep it! I walked out. Yes, it was only a nickel however, I live on less then $950.00 a month so every penny helps!

Everyone there is extremely rude when you ask them to void something for any reason because they have to start the transaction over. I could understand the frustration if I had more than a few items, however today I had THREE and the old man was VERY rude and said “are you serious” when I asked him to void something because the bill was more than I was expecting. The old blonde lady was also rude when I asked her to take something off a few weeks back, but no where to the same degree. I work in customer service and if I talked to customers that way I wouldn’t have a job anymore. Very disappointed in management for allowing rude employees to stay on the crew.

Never had been. Was impressed with some of their merchandise. Bought some pumpkin spice drizzled pop corn that wasn't very good. Bought gift bags,card,tissue, very reasonable. Lady at check out was very nice.

Edit: Wednesday 1/18 the store closed early at 3pm with a handwritten sign saying they won't be open until tomorrow at 8am.Decent Dollar tree, has more items than a few that I've been too but not the largest. Clean and friendly staff. Also has a fridge and frozen food sections.

Dollar tree had so many nice mothers day cards , really nice, and fancy styles that you would pay 5$ or more for in any other store.The store always has suprises, and good value. When you are looking to reduce your spending on party goods also you really can't beat them.

Well the Dollar Tree is a good place to go for odds and ends but raising that to a dollar a quarter affects a lot of people that needs to use a dollar store

When I pulled in the parking lot it was pitch black . No lights at all so I told the clerk and she said the light go on during the day! Sounds like someone is sleeping at the switch!Inside the store it was well stocked and organized and the clerks where very helpful.

Everything really is a dollar. Service is, well, everyone there is depressed. Only the bipolar survive. Selection is really good, especially for the price (which is just a dollar per item, or less). Great place to go (especially if all you have is a dollar)!

Terrible landlord here at Howell. The land lord of dollar tree and the other businesses here who ever they are! They don’t care for peoples safety. Several people including two elderly people slipped on ice outside of dollar tree. Including my little brother slipped on ice due to the landlord neither the managers cared for putting salt outside. There will be complaints filed.

Easy to shop here knowing everything is a dollar. Store has a nice selection of items. Sometimes the check-out lane is slow. Another cashier would help speed things up at times.

Place is pretty clean most times as dollar stores go. Quite prefer this one in Howell over the one in Okemos, cleanliness wise. Can usually find what I need and the staff is very friendly.

I mean, its a Dollar Tree.Prices are reasonable. Lol!Staff is usually friendly and helpful, but they often voice job-related complaints in front of customers 😕I frequently find awesome items that sell at retail stores, especially in their book and toy sections. Gotta buy em right away, tho... When you find Webkins plushes or Hasbro MLP trading card sets (Target price $11.99!) for a buck, they go FAST!The biggest complaint is the lines. They can get loooooooong! And only a register (sometimes 2) will be open. It wouldn't be so aggravating, except that often times at least two staff members can be seen stocking or seemingly doing nothing.Overall, though, the pretty great store. Better stocked with a friendlier staff than many other locations

I love it. I buy disposable coffee cups(so handy), hand lotion, delicious hard candy n so much more. I just bought Halloween stuff last night. It's very scary.

Of the two Dollar Trees in town this one is my favorite. They have a freezer section and cold beverages. The other one does not.

Store near and organized. Didn't find everything I wanted for Christmas crafting so I'll be checking back. With that said there was a wide variety of holiday stuff to consider.

Dollar Tree Howell, the manager on duty is not customer friendly. 2 register open & 20 people waiting to check out. Manager refused to open another register waited for another cashier to come in. poor customer service.
