I will no longer use Walmart for online shopping grocery orders. They have way too aggressive hold system on my bank account. Yesterday (3/14/24) i had an order for just shy of $75 yet because i made some changes and adds & subtractions they left a full $137 hold on my account which still hasn’t totally dropped off. I was in banking, this boils down to me giving Walmart a free, interest free loan until they release it.I understand scaleable items and giving room for that but they do it on things that are sold without any change or variable option.A pkg of ground lamb is not a variable scaleable item there is no need to hold that dollar amount to clear. Same with a bag of apples, oranges, single lemons & limes sold by the each. Can you imagine the money Walmart makes in their overnight investing by having millions of dollars of customer money on basically an interest free loan until their system releases the money back to the account? It’s illegal for us to do that, yet walmart foes it globallyThis is absurd and i will no longer shop at walmart for the bulk of my groceries like i used to because of these behind the scenes/app tactics. These multi-billion dollar companies enriching themselves on the backs of their customers. Revolting!If you try to contact through the app… all you get is artificial intelligence with no option of a pertinent question. Screw that and all the invasive giants controlling everything food, information, money, everything. You may win here on earth but I won’t see you in hell. Buh-bye

Parking lot was cleaned up nice not slippery or hard to walk from my vehicle to the store. Floor employees were polite some of them asked me if I needed help finding anything.

Jim is so helpful with everything. The greeters are so genuine and nice. Patty has helped me so many times at Customer Service. Amy has helped me with cans over and over. Just a good crowd at our local Walmart.

Okay I hate to give Walmart good reviews because I don't approve of their business model and how they impact rural areas negatively. HAVING SAID THAT, not everyone has the economic means to pay extra at the local grocery. Food is significantly cheaper here, in line with national averages. The quality of the food is good, produce is fresh and a wide variety is available. Delivery is difficult this far north and I believe this is why Walmarts prices are in some cases half of the local markets. They offer free curbside pickup but slots are limited.

The biggest all in one store in Houghton.Surprisingly a large variety of products are available here even though Houghton is located far up in upper Michigan.As an example, see attached photos to see range of toys available.

If you've been to a Walmart before you've been to all of them. Shame they're the only option for halfway decent pricing on stuff to my knowledge. Could be worse though.

Good as always. Nice deli for a hot lunch. LONG lines at self checkout every time I'm there. Need to open more lanes and add some humans at registers. Walmart is fortune 500 so they can afford not to run 99% self checkout.

I'll start by saying: 5 stars for grocery pickup, everyone is always very nice and fast and I rarely have anything wrong with my orders.0 stars for stupid rules and discrimination. I was trying to purchase a can of spray paint. I was carded, ok that's fine, but then she wouldn't let me buy it because my 14 year old sister standing next to me didn't have ID. I'm 28. Give me a break. 🙄 She said that because we look to be around the same age and we are in the "same group", she couldn't sell it to me because we didn't both have IDs. Ridiculous! What about mothers who buy spray paint who have to bring their children in with them? Let's be real, she discriminated against me because I look young. Well, I will purchase my paints elsewhere.

My wife and I had the best Walmart shopping experience here. The staff were so smiley, friendly, and helpful. We had multiple people help us try to find things and the self checkout people quickly helped us when we had an issue with the checkout machine.

Their shelves are stocked. Prices are sometimes unclear. Fruit I have noticed isn't up to par, in the upper peninsula. One thing I'm not fond of is having to always be my own checker. Also i pushed cĺustomer service button 4 times to come for help. I wanted to purchase a Buck Knife for my Dad's birthday I never got it because nobody came to help . Other than that it seems fine!

The self check out is ok when I have a couple of items. When I shop, I have a cart full and need a checkout person. The wait for the 1 or 2 people doing check out is ridiculous. I am old and can still stand for a decent period of time , but the population includes a lot of the elderly. When leaving, someone checks your cart, but there's no one offering to carry out. Bottom line is that this store is not user-friendly.

As usual only one check out lane open! They force you to use self checkout then have the balls to stop you at the door to check your receipt! If people can't be trusted then open reg cashiers again! I'm NOT a employee! The prices I pay have the money added in to cover employee salaries! Give me 20% off groceries to check my self out!

I am tired of somehow not bagging items correctly on the self-checkouts, one day they had to check me three times like I was stealing a $.46 box of tomato sauce. Today they upped their game on me; as I got the bag of ice I had paid for they old (nice) guy at the exit asked me to see my receipt, "not that I think you're stealing but I have to check to make sure you paid for the ice"....now I'm sitting here stewing quite mad.I'm so sick of Walmart.If you want to prevent theft hire people at checkout stations and close self-checkouts.And since you put most local businesses out of business I don't have a lot of options to shop elsewhere.

Need more benches. Bathrooms are almost always disgusting. Staff is nice and helpful though, and they do a really good job picking out produce for grocery pickup.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service!! Waited on the phone for 40 minutes to talk to someone, just to be told they cant help me. Paid for $120 in groceries, they charged me twice and told me they cant do anything about it. How can you not do anything? You basically stole 120 dollars from a customer. I called my bank, trying to dispute the charges which is a lengthy process. Frustrated and VERY annoyed. I can guarantee if I walked out of their store without paying they sure would do something about it. Walmart DO BETTER!!
