There are amazing people! I was in urgent need of signature and they made it possible for me!! While my own vet didn’t accept it, they did it for me in 5 minutes!! I really believe that you know real good people in time of need, otherwise all people can act like a good one when you don’t need them! Our dog did very well with his first visit to Monterey Vet. He hasn't done well with vet visits in the past so I was surprised and relieved. The veterinarian was very calm and super nice as well as the vet tech and the desk clerk. We like the laid back calm atmosphere that this clinic has. We look forward to bringing Beau back here next time and will recommend Monterey to friends and family.

Doc. Ludlum wonderful listened to what I said, very friendly and caring. Her assistants were wonderful very caring to my fur baby. Desk staff very nice, informative and friendly. Would recommend them all!

Absolutely love this place. I had to find a new vet after my other vet was impossible to get into and Monterey Veterinary didn't disappoint.They will do whatever they can to get you an appointment as soon as they can.On June 21, 2021(one of the hardest days of my life) they were sooo caring and compassionate when I had to put my fur baby Gronk to sleep. They gave me as much time as I needed with him before and after. ❤I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Monterey Veterinary Services.Pictured below are a couple of pictures of us on his final day.

Very good vet, first time visiting, regular vet is picklestreet, but needed xrays of my Bellas leg, the vet tech and Dr. Ludlam were very gentile and caring for her, the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, but it was her time, we miss Bella, they were very comforting at the end.

Took my little man speedy here for the first time today. Got a great deal on cleaning, shots, and tooth removal. The staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back.

My family has used this veterinary office exclusively and loyally for over 8 years to care for our dogs,horses and cows. I had a emergency call because my dog had a cyst on her uterus rupture overnight which is very serious. They turned me away claiming there appointment only now. Just want to thank this office for turning away a loyal customer during a life threatening situation.

Our first time to this vet is during COVID, so we didnt have the usual experience, but they handled everything so well. We felt as comfortable as we could passing off our new cats from the parking lot. The vet tech who came out was friendly and understanding.Though both cats were not happy with the idea of going to the vet (and one having to get washed off a bit from peeing in her carrier) and we were worried about not being with them, they both came out seeming as comfortable as they could be. All went very well!

They’ve been a great help since I switched from a vet that I didn’t feel had a personal investment. These guys do.

Had some surgery done on my 10 year old English Field Lab, Sophie. I was somewhat concerned regarding a growth on her eyelid. The staff was very kind, and expressed confidence that all would go well, and it did. She is doing great. Glad Dr. Henry Rhinehart recommended them!

Very caring staff and they have the sweetest office animals. They took really good care of my cats, Cucu & Cree. Gentle while giving them their shots. My cats were surprisingly calm. I'll definitely be going back if needed.

Update on the matter: I now wish I could give 0 stars. I called requesting to speak with Dr. Heather but unfortunately she was unavailable so I addressed my concerns with the receptionist (who was very kind). After speaking to her she assured me she would talk to Dr. Heather and call me back ASAP. I never received a call back. Now, 3/4 of my cats have upper respiratory infections and the ER vet informed me that 1 may not make it because it had already progressed so much. This all was preventable if the vet who I saw would have been competent! I understand places are understaffed and overworked, but my animals are my babies and I know when my pets have a cough, running nose, goopy eyes, and are having difficulty breathing. I will not be returning and I suggest you don’t either.

I switched to this clinic after my previous one was outrageously priced. The staff is very friendly and professional here. They don't try to talk you into paying for anything that your pet doesn't need, prices are reasonable, and I was allowed to go in with my dog, which is a rarity these days.

The Monterey Vet missed severe health issues for over 4 months with our 8 year old black lab when we went to them for help. We raised concerns and asked many questions to try and understand the issue and possible treatment options but received minimal communication and no direction on how to best handle the issue--other than keep our dog on antibiotics, which is not a solution. They finally recommended a procedure that cost several hundred dollars only to have the condition actually get worse after the fact. And after voicing even more concerns when the issue wasn't getting better were told by them to take our business elsewhere. They were not transparent about the charges we would incur, either. We took him to another vet and within 3 weeks of finding and addressing the root cause our dog is almost 100% healed up. Monterey managed to overlook warning signs of the issue months prior at a regular check up visit. We have now spent over double what it should have cost in the first place to have the issue resolved elsewhere. I recommend steering clear of this vet--they don't seem to have the time or resources to provide the level of care that one would expect to get for their pet.

During this time of corona virus Monterey Vet is still providing top quality care for our two dogs. We call ahead, make an appointment and then when we get there we call them again. A masked professional comes out, brings our dogs in and takes good care of them. Then they walk them to the car. The masked vet came out to our car herself to discuss the dogs health status and asked permission before doing any additional tests on our animal.
