My friends rented one of the cabins & were pleasantly surprised by them.Small but clean, had all the basics for a nice stay & they allowed dogs in them, which is very rare!We stayed in the campground in our rv.Very clean & Maintaned .Beach was very nice.Definately going back!!!

Very cute little cabins. We enjoyed our stay very much, very very quiet campground experience. We went Sunday through Tuesday (so might have caught a good quiet time.)Nice location right on Lake Huron, was fun for the kids to make sand castles. The shore was very mucky, would not suggest planning to swim but nice to be at the lake side. There was a nice playground for the kids as well.Adding photos of the interior because there were none before we went.Air conditioning was a huge bonus! We would return for sure. Thanks for having us!

We stayed in a cabin (2 cabins actually) and had a great time. Felt really safe letting the kids walk to the playground and around the park. The beach was awesome, shallow for a long way out and sandy the whole way minus a bit of muck right near the shore. The staff was friendly and attentive, the firewood was well seasoned. It was obvious that the staff takes a lot of pride in the cleanliness of the park from emptying trash regularly to the bathrooms being kept up and the grass mowed.

Very nice park and very quiet. We came with our family, we had a cabin which was really nice. The only complaint is the beach is kinda mucky, but really out of their control. We did have family stay in the full hook up spots across the street and it was dry and barren. No trees and they couldn’t face their camper toward the lake. We got lucky with the cabin!!

Beautiful place to camp! Me & my boyfriend spent 3 nights including our 4th of July here! Beautiful view of Lake Huron from almost every camp spot here, very clean, quiet place! Would definitely come back.

We absolutely LOVE Stafford County park! They were clean, well maintained, and had gorgeous lake side rustic camping sites. We literally camped right up next to the lake. It was fantastic.Restrooms: They were large and clean with several shower stalls each side.Dog-friendliness: We took our 5 year old doggo, Mulan. She loved it so much!

Great view of the lake.l, nice breeze. Very impressed with the upkeep on the lawn. Was nice having grassy areas for the kids around the sites. Showers/bathrooms were kept clean! Will definitely camp here again!

Great park for families with kids and dogs. Not much in the way of privacy so if you're looking for seclusion and quiet this isn't the spot. We usually come here with a group of us with all the kids and get several site next to eachother so we can all stay close and the kids have a good time. The little town is also amazing and everyone is very nice. The owners who run the Campground are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. Good prices on ice and wood that they'll deliver right to your site.

Wonderfull time. Before season. Very quiet. Beautiful view. Could see large ships. When fog rolled in, could hear the ships' fog horns. Nice hardware store in town. Everyone nice, pleasant and helpful. Our first time camping in an RV. Great experience.

The reason I say it was only okay is because there was only 2 shower's, the shower curtains were kind of gross. The water at the lake was really gross after being stirred up and there was a lot of rocks, sharp rocks at that!Plus our campsites 16 + 17 where underneath a street light, all night long.

Nice very quiet campground. Not the greatest place for kids as there are few activities. Camping spots are clean and mowed. Sites are right near on the lake but no beach really. Swimming is still possible. Nice little walk downtown to the ice cream shop! Check out the newly restored train depot or visit an antique shop. You must visit the Port Hope Hotel and try the 1lb. Leroy burger.

My favorite place to camp in Michigan’s thumb. I love being so close to the water! Very peaceful! Stafford has seasonal sites, cabins, tent sites (rustic) & trailer sites. This campground is more geared to adults as there isn’t much for young kids to do!

With the exception of the mattresses being hard in the cabins (highly suggest you bring an air mattress) the area is nice and the cabins are clean. Showers were hot everyday.

Great place. Excellent view of the lake. Had our family reunion there. We rented the pavilion. Good price and clean bathrooms. The event turned out great and the scenery made great pics for the family..

My family stayed there for 3 nights July of 2017.Lakeside lots are nice. Real nice in fact. Close to the water and kids can swim. Beach is not that great, but it's serviceable for younger kids. Town is nice and has a couple attractions. The facilities are ok. Not as nice as state parks. Showers were really not as nice. Floors gross and some run cold. The older man that manages it is pretty grouchy. Kind of a loudmouth, drill sargent style. He keeps it clean on the grounds though. All of this would be reasonable though as it really is a beautiful place and they can be fixed, but..........the worst part is that there is literally a pile of goose poop every square foot. It took us almost 45 minutes to clean up the poop with a shovel just to pop up the camper. Walking anywhere is almost impossible. Riding bike means tires are flinging it everywhere. The playground was impossible to walk through. It was no good at all really. If you had a real little kid, you'd never set them down.I'll never book there again.

Nice county park on the shore of Lake Huron. Small beach with a rocky coastline, picnic shelter, campground and cabins. Also a decent boat launch. The wi-fi was basically non-existent so don't believe the website about it being available. Staff was around from 8-4:30 but did not seem to know much. Park is well kept. Check in was staff driving by to see if the site was in use. Have your reservation info available so you know where to park it.

Great campground with excellent management. Very quiet and close enough to Lake Huron to enjoy the breeze and hear the waves break at the shore. Bonus... Pet friendly with agreat dog park for your best friend to stretch their legs.

I loved this campground for rustic camping (with tents). It is very clean and the camping spaces are very big (we were in 1&2 camping spaces). You get a fire ring and table per camping space. I do want to mention that a lot of people mentioned there was a lot of geese poop and I was seriously concerned about that until we got there, maybe we were lucky but no geese poop around (we went last weekend August 3-5 2018). Great location, only 20 mins to Port Austin and very cost effective!

We use to stay in there cabins and had a great time, but keeps changing management companies and one year didn't get the advanced notice to book the cabin for returning customers and couldn't get our cabin so stopped going. Also the last year we went cabins weren't very clean. Had to clean cabin ourselves before bringing our stuff in.

Very peaceful place to be! All of the staff and campers were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly suggest giving it a shot! Had to walk less than 200 yards to dip my feet into lake Huron!

My wife and I camped here in mid July for our anniversary with our 4 legged fur child. This is a great quiet campground. We will be back! Short walk into town if you need snacks, drinks, food or hardware store.
