We had such a great experience at Off Leash K9 Training. We have a 2 year old lab who we could not take on walks and did not trust off leash in an open field. Our dog was extremely reactive and excited to meet other dogs, which made daily walks very stressful. After completion of the 2 week board and train, our dogs recall and heeling on walking is night and day difference. I would recommend this training to anyone in the same boat.

We picked up our German Shepherd after two week training yesterday! Before training I had several very scary experiences with him being aggressive towards other dogs and couldn't bring him on walks or in public places without feeling like I had no control of him. Today we went on our first walk post training and he did Amazing! He knew all of his commands and we passed a couple dogs with no issues at all!! I was so happy I almost cried because it's so nice being able to have him with me and not be afraid of what he might react to. Ashlind was amazing to work with and kept us updated all week which helped with how much we were missing him while he was gone! We are so happy with our results and would highly recommend this company and Ashlind!

Our 14 month old Schnoodle, Sammie, had several bad habits that we just couldn’t fix (jumping, pulling on his leash during walks, wanting to chase cars passing by, stealing anything he wasn’t supposed to have, like socks, and playing keep away, etc). Two weeks with Ashlind at K9 Unleashed and he came home a completely different dog!! He minds, he listens, he’s well-mannered - a total 180 change in his behavior!! Worth every penny!!

My family is SO grateful for Ashlind at Off leash K9 training. She took in our incredibly reactive 2-year-old German Shepherd rescue, after I might add, he barked at her and showed his teeth aggressively when first meeting her. She didn’t turn us away and moved forward with the two week training and our dog has transformed! Prior to the training, we couldn’t take him anywhere because of his reactivity with dogs and people. We dreaded taking him on walks, going to the vet, pet stores, etc. He picked and chose when to listen to commands and was very stubborn. He now listens to us with ease, and has a nearly perfect heel when walking with us! I don’t have to pull his leash or have any tension on it, he’s at my side the entire time. Throughout the training, Ashlind sent us daily updates with several videos and pictures. I felt very in the loop during the entire process. Ashlind from off leash was absolutely amazing! She trained my dog perfectly. She was very direct with her procedures on how she does her training and kept me informed for the whole time she had my dog. Ashlind would not sugarcoat anything. If my dog was having a stressful day and was not responding as she had hoped, she would let me know. She would also let me know when my dog was having a fantastic day and would send videos to me of all those moments. I would recommend her and this company to anybody and everybody. It is certainly worth every penny.

We took Wally as a four year old dog, he’s a mutt and a super nice dog but he listened to no one and lost his mind when the doorbell rang…. Ashlind had him for two weeks gave us great daily updates photos, videos and texts. Wally came back, Ashlind trained us and he’s a completely different dog. Immediately took him for a walk through Lowe’s and he was perfect, we’re very pleased with the whole experience!!

Just finished the 4 week basic obedience class with Brittany and am 100% completely satisfied. My puppy Mango is a completely different dog now. Brittany is very flexible with the times and answers any questions that you have and even though each session is a training session, my puppy completely loves Brittany and looks forward to it each week. At first I was a little hesitant signing up for the class because I didn't think it was possible to do so much in so little time but I was completely wrong. The class if fully worth the price! I will say though to get the most out of the class, you have to continue to practice with your dog at home every day. Looking forward to the next 4 weeks for our advanced lessons.

Our one and half year old golden retriever, Cooper, recently completed 2 weeks of off leash training with Shannon. My wife and I are so impressed with the results. Cooper is an energetic, fun-loving, easily excitable young golden whose energy is hard to contain sometimes, especially on walks. After spending time with Shannon, Cooper is now a great walker who will heel for as long as he asked to do so. He has developed the self control to hold other commands like sit, down, and place despite ongoing distractions around him. Shannon was fantastic throughout the training process. Since Cooper was partaking in the boarding program, it was tough being away from him for so long. Shannon sent us pictures and videos daily, along with training for us as Cooper progressed. We could see how much Cooper loved working with Shannon, and truly felt that he was in excellent hands during his time with her.

Ashton from Off Leash K9 Training Detroit did and amazing job with training my airedale terrier. I was unable to have him off leash and it hindered our day to day activities because I had no control of him once the leash was off. After this training we are going everywhere off leash and playing fetch in new places, it really changed everything for us because I was able to become confident in having control of him even when there is no leash. It has improved my relationship with my boy by 100% because it allows him to be free and have a good time while still having to listen and follow directions. This made training fun. We highly recommend!

CHOOSE OFF LEASH K9 TRAINING!!! I will not be able to say enough good things about Shannon at Off Leash K9 Training (Holt). We have two English Cream Retrievers (1 year old male and 8 1/2 mon old female) that we set up for 2 wk Board and Train to help with impulse control, recall with distractions and walking without pulling to name a few things. From the first moment at drop off we felt completely at ease with Shannon. She explained everything in detail, answered all our questions and listened patiently while I rattled on about anything I though was important for her to know... nothing was insignificant to her. Once she had the pups she followed through on every single thing she said she would. She texted us when she got home, the next morning to report how they did their first night then every evening after that she texted their individual training sessions along with videos with verbal explanations of everything they learned that day. Eventually the training was with both dogs together, which is imperative as they do very little apart. In every video it was like she anticipated every question we would have and answered them in detail. The quickness at which she learned about each dogs unique behaviors, strengths and weakness and little (big) quirks was remarkable. Along with the videos, she sent pictures that were amazing..like enlarge and put on the wall amazing. Our oldest turned 1yr while with Shannon. She was super excited to celebrate with him and not only treated both pups to ice cream and dog treats but took awesome photos with a birthday banner and birthday hat. She also recorded the entire ice cream pawty!!At the turnover she was as patient as could be with us (me) and insisted that we were NOT going to undo all of the training they just learned. They learned to come, sit, down, place, heel and off (the last two covers many unwanted behaviors). She talked us through how to use the training, collar and remote to work for us in our home environment and yard. Going forward, we are able to contact her with any questions, concerns or happy moments that pop up.There is no price you can put on having well behaved, happy, safe dog children (and dog parents). I feel blessed that we were given Shannon as our trainer even though I didn't know enough to ask for her. CHOOSE SHANNON!!

Shannon did an excellent job with my 5 month German Shepherd, Maize. At the end of the two weeks, along with the other basic commands, Maize could heel completely off leash. The daily video updates and pictures were great. She also answered all of my questions. This is the second time I've used Off Leash K9 Training Lansing. Along with recommending them to everyone, I will use them again in the future.Ashlind did an amazing job with my Rottweiler, Blue! I loved receiving the video updates while he was in her care for two weeks. She answered all of my questions and has given me the tools I need to continue the training he received. I highly recommend her and Off Leash K9 Training Lansing!

Our 1.5 year old labradoodle, Moose, just completed the basic obedience package with Brittany. My husband and I are SO impressed with the results. Moose is a very loving, smart, interested and high energy pup who could be hard to contain at times. This was amplified when other people came around. He had so much love to give that he couldn't contain it! Now, after his training sessions with Brittany, he is much calmer, listens better, is easier to manage, and all-around better behaved so his love isn't a giant love-bomb of happy emotions. He is thriving with all of the commands we learned, and during walks he is like a whole new dog!We were so thrilled with Brittany as our trainer. She was such an amazing teacher for both Moose and ourselves. We truly learned so much valuable information that has helped us as pet parents to give Moose the best life we can. Brittany truly cares about the well being of the dogs she works with, and often went above and beyond to help us with any concerns or questions we had. Brittany is so knowledgeable about all things dogs, and is so confident that Moose immediately trusted her and was comfortable working with her. Brittany was so thorough in her trainings and truly wanted to ensure that we were comfortable and confident before leaving to practice at home.I could not recommend Off Leash K9 Training, and Brittany, enough!Pics are of him in "place" in my classroom and in the agility center of our dog park :)

We just finished basic obedience training with our 9 month old pup, Riley, and it was amazing! Our trainer, Brittany, was incredible. She did a great job not only teaching Riley various commands but also teaching my husband and I how best to continue his training at home even if different situations arise. She worked through all his stubbornness and helped build his confidence. You can tell she has a real passion for this. We would definitely recommend this training for anyone!

Our 5 month old golden retriever puppy, Max just finished his 2 week board and train program with Shannon and it was an amazing experience. Shannon is so knowledgeable and great with both training him and communicating with us. We got daily messages and photo/video updates to keep up with his progress. You can tell she loves what she does and she’s amazing at it. He listens so well now and we are very happy with the results. She also offered to board our pup when we had to make an unexpected trip out of town right after his training finished. It was great peace of mind for us knowing that he would be in her very capable hands and that his training would stay consistent. He ran and jumped right into her vehicle when he saw her again. She is a true gem!

We brought our one year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Luna, to the Board and Train session with Shannon. Luna is an energetic pup who loved to go for walks, but it was hard because she pulled so hard she'd choke herself. She also begged for food, nipped at our hands, and jumped on whoever she saw. From the beginning to the end (and months after!) we have been nothing but satisfied with our experience! We talked with Shannon beforehand about what we wanted to work on with Luna and Shannon did not disappoint! Throughout Luna's training, Shannon sent daily pictures, videos, and information about how Luna was doing and what she was learning.Once Luna's session was over, we learned her commands and how to handle her. Luna is a whole new dog! We no longer have to worry about her jumping, biting, or hurting herself. Walks are incredibly enjoyable and she enjoys being able to run off leash freely (with her collar of course!). It is pricey, but it is definitely worth it. We have the goofiest, greatest family dog we could've ask for. Thank you for your hard work, Shannon!

Incredibly happy with our experience and training at off leash K9 in lansing! Our 2.5 yr old chocolate lab spent 2 weeks at the board and train with Ashlind! He returned a completely different dog! It’s now a joy to take him out in public. Here he is at Home Depot! Wish I had done the training sooner. Ashlind was wonderful, sent video updates every day sharing his progress. She took the time to explain everything and answer questions! Highly recommend!

We took our 1 year old German Shepard to Mike to teach her some obedience. Mike took the time to make us feel comfortable with the E-Collar used for training. After doing the Advanced Program Izzabella will now come on command, place, extended place, touch, heel, sit, down, come to through, and other commands from a distance. She is a completely different dog. We are looking forward to taking her more places, and not have to worry about her behavior. Thanks Mike and Off Leash K9 Training.

Axel was only 6 months old and uncontrollable. We were referred to Off Leash K-9 training and calling them was the best thing we ever did for Axel and us.. He is now 8 months old, but a different dog because as soon as he returned home he is manageable. Ashlind was Axel's trainer and in two weeks Axel became a different dog. It was great that we received daily videos so we could see his accomplishments. While visiting different establishments, we would receive some really cute pictures of Axel. We enjoy him so much more because he minds us on command, no biting, he goes out without a leash , heels, sits, stays and it helped with housebreaking and socialization. Axel will sit on his rug and stay there until you release his command. After it was over Ashlind is still around to answer questions, Axel is much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this training even though it is a little pricy. Worth every penny. Happy clients!!

We sent our (then) 7.5 month old Golden Retriever puppy to Shannon for the 2 week training program.I have to admit that I'm usually skeptical about anything that sounds "too good to be true" - even after watching tons of videos and reading through every review I could find - but we weren't capable of effectively training our puppy on our own and he was just getting increasingly bigger and harder to handle as time went on, so we decided we would give this a try....and I am SO happy we did!We had such a great, positive experience with Off Leash K9 Training Lansing and Shannon.When we sent our pup to Shannon, his major issues were 1) pulling while on the leash, which was becoming too much for me to control and 2) getting too excited and jumping all over anyone new.Combine those two issues together and taking him anywhere was something to dread, and we didn't want it to be that way.Now, after just two weeks of training with Shannon, our boy is a joy to take on walks and we are all happier because of this training.He is no longer jumping all over people or pulling while he walks on the leash.He is still the same happy go lucky, excitable puppy, but now he has manners and we know it will only continually get better from here!In addition to the training, Shannon went above and beyond by answering all of our questions, taking amazing care of our pup, and sending us video + email updates daily.His safety was always her number one priority.We had never left our puppy anywhere else before, so we were a little anxious about how he would do, but after seeing how well he and Shannon hit it off and mutually loved each other, our anxieties were completely gone.We would trust Shannon with our boy any time, because she treated him just like he was her own and that meant so much to us.If you're reading this review and you're on the fence about sending your dog for training, I highly encourage you to sign your dog up. You literally have nothing to lose, but a better behaved dog and a less stressful life to gain.Thank you SO much to Shannon and Off Leash K9 Training Lansing for everything!

Ashlind is a ROCKSTAR! I took my dog poppy (18mo mini bernedoodle) to the board and train and I am astonished with the results. Poppy is not aggressive but extremely reactive. My concerns were getting her a solid recall, minimizing dog reactivity, and leash manners. She has all of these skills now. I was really worried about poppy losing her spunky personality or not being able to be a dog after intense training, but Ashlind made training rigorous but fun for her, so poppy is still poppy. Be warned that you need to put in hard work after your dog comes home or else they lose all of their training. It took a second for poppy to respect and listen to me but she is perfect now after a week of being home. I can’t wait to continue training with her and enjoying a lifetime of fun with my dog.

Our 8month old male GSD completed his 2 week Board and Train on Monday with Ashlind. Communication was perfect throughout, and she answered questions we had from her daily videos and texts. Our training began when Kaiser’s did! The daily info she sent was so helpful and impressive. It also eased my worry about him being away from me for that long! She was able to point out his reactions to distractions (ex: scooters, wheelchairs, strollers, focusing too much on other dogs) Learning the remote is still new to us and will become more natural. I have the information to retain and grow his success. Ashlind‘s support/answers to questions that have come up in these first couple of days home is very helpful. Kaiser was a source of pride for us when we went to TSC his first evening home. At our local park yesterday, we saw other dogs, bikes, lots of people, watched kids play on the playground, spent time talking to a gentleman and his adult daughter who is in a wheelchair and nonverbal - Kaiser stayed in his plotz(down) position. We even walked to the ice cream shop - very busy - he remained in the position we put him in and broke his Fuss(heel) while walking. The future looks bright! In fact, I left them a message today to discuss training with our four-year-old GSP. Highly recommend Ashlind.

Shannon did an incredible job with our litter mate labs. After two weeks of board and train, they already follow commands that were nothing but frustrating previously. We have to reinforce them at this point, but Shannon is awesome!!! She communicated with us thru the whole process with daily texts and videos. She was always incredibly prompt and available. We would recommend her and K9 to anyone who wants a dog that follows commands. Our highest recommendation !!

I was super anxious and hesitant to leave our puppy with a stranger, but Ashlind was the perfect person to leave her with to train! She is open, trustworthy and She did a great job training our dog new commands. I feel like we are in a great spot to continue with the training from here with our new well behaved dog. Would definitely recommend!!Edit after first week: our dog is doing incredible heal (walking on leash) she doesn’t miss a beat, walks perfectly in line with us, adjusts her speed to keep up with us. She’s doing absolutely fantastic. Her separation anxiety has also gotten much better since before the training.

We had a phenomenal experience with K9 off leash. Ashlind was our trainer and she couldn’t have been more amazing! Within the first 20 minutes she looked at the amount of food I brought for Sutter’s board and train and realized it was not enough food. I quickly realized I had packed 14 meals worth of food not 14 days – WHOOPS! Ashlind was so kind and just asked me to send her a picture of the label of the food Sutter eats and she ordered some more to have delivered during her board and train. Every single day we received videos with great explanations of what she was working on and a personal message. Her personal messages instantly made me feel more than comfortable that she was be taken care of as if Sutter was her own pup. In addition to all of this, Sutter’s skills were FANTASTIC. This was a dog (giant breed dog – leonberger) that has pulled me (and several others) onto the ground during walks when seeing another dog or a squirrel. Sutter has always been a sweetheart in her personality, but obedience was definitely not her strength. Now, I easily go for walks with my TWO leonbergers (>200lb with of dogs) and 7 month old baby in the stroller with EASE. Sutter listens to her commands VERY well: come, sit, place, down, off (although we don’t have to use this much with her good behavior). We couldn’t be happier with our experience…. 😊

My dog, Marley, just finished her 2 week boarding program with Ashlind and I could not be happier with her progress! I got daily updates, videos, and pictures from Ashlind and she was always just a text away. She made sure I knew I could always contact her after the program and gave very thorough instructions for continuing Marley’s training. I couldn’t even walk her on a leash before the program and barely took her anywhere because of this. Now Marley heels, can go out in public, and follows my commands! We took our 11 month old Golden Doodle (Lincoln) to Off Leash K9 training after trying a few different at home trainers. Although they were helpful, we could not get Lincoln to stop jumping on people and nipping at their hands amongst other things.Ashlind was Lincoln's trainer and after two weeks of working with her, we were amazed at the diffence we saw in Lincoln. Ashlind kept us updated every day by texting videos and her observations which was really appreciated.Lincoln has been home for almost a week now and we are continuing to work with him the way Ashlind showed us and feel like we have a dog that we can control now. I could not be happier with the training and would highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training and also Ashlind!

I was at my whit's end. I love my pups as I would a child so when my pitbull pup ATE my door and flooring in my bedroom i was at a loss. My boyfriend and it both work long days and that also lead to seperation anxiety. The dog I brought back home is a completely diffrent dog (still a little ball of crazy) but she stays off the counters when I tell her to stop or " off" she listens every single time. I can not express my graditude to Britney (sorry hope I spelled that right) she gave her baths cut her nails loved her like my dog was her own. all while molding her into a good girl I can trust. She even went above and beyond when I asked if she could would have my pup around other dogs to teach her manners. My dog fell in love with her own dog shadow. It made my heart so happy to see her so loved and taken care of! Words can not describe how thankful I am!
