I'm really disappointed in the new meat department rule. I have always bought pork loin and had them cut into chops. My husband and I prefer thicker chops than what they sell as well as the different meat cut. Also, I have purchased pork roast and had them cut down to the size we would eat. It is cheaper for us and we can get what we want for meat at a cheaper price buying this way. Unfortunately, today, I was informed that the Kroger meat department can no longer do this. Guess I will have to check out other stores for my meat shopping. I am so very disappointed and sad about this!

Absolutely ridiculous. Place an order and it’s always an hour late. Hire more people so you can be efficient instead of always behind. I’ve known people that have applied at this particular location that have been denied employment because the hiring manager says that they had enough people on staff, but surely doesn’t seem like it because everything’s always behind. Do better Kroger!

Krogers is a mess not enough workers fruits are not fresh sometimes they don’t have have any fruits or vegetables, some of the people there that work there? Are rude. You have to wait in line for two hours. Yeah, that Kroger’s is not like it used to be is terrible.

It does get busy and they are understaffed but the food is always good and they have a good selection and good deals on the app. The people who are there are always very nice and do their best.

In 2023, the Holt Kroger has suffered noticeable changes to management and staff, drastically undercutting what was once exceptional value in service quality. Periods of increasingly long checkout lines, missing brands on shelves, and empty bins in the fruits and vegitables section, have become so regular, that I've stopped making this Kroger my default shopping destination. It's a real pity. I don't know what has prompted the recent changes, but I suspect they have more to do with regional miss-management than with the store management. Example; Changes such as the increased dependency on self checkout are likely made at the corporate level.

This has to be the worst Kroger. I have come here multiple times to use Kroger pick up. I got the text saying my food order was ready and I show up, and my order has been cancelled or won’t be ready until the next day. The staff is rude and lack basic training and customer service skills. This place is going downhill fast. I would avoid at all cost.

Customer service was horrible the manager patty was very rude and had horrible attitude towards us when we told her on the shelf the dog food was 14.99 and she brought us another sticker that said it was 22.99 even the nice lady went over to the aisle and also said it was 14.99 she was very kind . Also because of the higher pay didn’t have enough for all my groceries which was embarrassing will never go there again

Love the sushi bar, it's pretty good for the price, they make it onsight almost daily. Anything from a $4 veggie roll to a $30+ party platter. And if you don't see what you want, you can ask and they'll make it. Never gotten anything that looks out of date. It's not fancy restaurant sushi, but great to pick up on the way to work for lunch! I try to stay under $10, anything more and I might as well call in a to-go order at a real sushi restaurant.

Kroger is especial great for it's food selection. Where it fall done in my opinion, it at the checkout. The cashier lanes are narrow. The self check out lanes are always problematic for me. But Kroger's gets a lot of praise for hiring baggers who would be challenged in other places.

This is in reference to clicklist pickup. The fact that the apo won't allow you to log in even 5 minutes before pick up time, when the order has been confirmed as ready, is RIDICULOUS. This needs revisiting.

We have used the catering department for many office parties. The food platters are always fresh, and the department manager is great to work with! He is always so friendly and willing to help! Ordered mini sandwiches, fruit & veggie trays, cheese trays, and assorted mini dessert cakes that were amazing! I've also purchased the big box of fried chicken for family gatherings! Highly recommend! Reasonably priced per serving!

Cart return is a joke. Shelves are never stocked. Lines to check out are ridiculous. They close one side of self checkouts while there's a line. Employees fight and quit in front of customers. This place is a joke

This store is now awful! When you go there on Saturday around 10:30am no produce stocked. Lines are very long. Only a couple lanes open and treat there employees poorly. It's quicker for me to drive further to Meijer and save more money! Will never go back!

This store has lost all ability to keep/hire employees. There is no customer service anymore, carts are almost never taken care of, they spent a fortune on a new hot foods counter and never have anything in it, and their pharmacy is never open on time. Food's decent when it's stocked so they've got that going for them I suppose.

I’m not sure what has happened to this location but it has definitely changed. This used to be my favorite store. However for the last times I’ve came the lines have been ridiculous. Only one side of the self check out was opened. Only 3 actual registers open. Lines blending into each other and down the aisles. It’s always like a mad house at the front due to the lines. I believe they maybe short staffed which I understand, however if you know that it’s need to be better instruction or maybe some type of signs for which way the lines should go. People were frustrated and jumping the lines because no one understood where it ended. I was worried customers were going to have an altercation. Definitely need to do better.

Generally good service at this store. However I tried to use Kroger coupons from the app and was told I would have to print them out to use them. I don't have a home printer. Why offer online coupons if they aren't accepted in stores? The cashier tried to help but we got nowhere.

Loved the store. Yesterday when we went to checkout, there was only one cashier. The manager quickly jumped in and opened up 2 lines, one that he was running himself. I was so happy not to have to stand in line forever, especially considering I had just walked out of the Holmes st. Kroger because they went from 2 lanes down to one when there were several people in both lines. I will shop this Kroger from now on.

Holt Kroger had gone downhill so rapidly.Cashiers talking with their friends instead of checking out your groceries .Parking lot cart retrieval people standing outside talking and laughing instead of working.I don't think they have any people skills or sense of responsibility.I question if there are any supervisors at allVagrants in parking lot.I won't shop here again

I took my Mom there tonight and she ran into a problem using her Humana card. The staff was so patient and helpful, especially Sierra. The store was extremely busy and still they did their best to resolve the payment issue and was very kind to her.

I'm not sure what has happened to the Kroger in Holt, I have shopped there for many years but I won't be shopping there anymore. They very very rarely have anything that they advertise on their digital coupons and that's even if you can download the things off your phone which seems to be hit and miss. The store has become very dirty, you stick to the floors in several of the aisles and the parking lot Looks like someone threw trash all over. It's really sad because the store is very convenient to where I live and I have exclusively shopped here for years but after checking for a third time to see if they had the product that they advertised on sale this week and once again they don't, I am finished.I have checked other Kroger's in the area and they do not seem to have the same problem keeping sale products in stock.

Litter and trash all over, prior to walking in the store. So short staffed. Nobody running customer service. The self checkouts - every single station had no plastic bags. My machine was stuck in a maintenance screen. Error after every single scan. I had to watch employee put code in 5x mininum- before I memorized her code and just started doing it myself. Worst shopping experience ever. Will not go back.

Constantly understaffed. Parking lot is small. Dont have anything in stock ever. Miss items and wrong items. They made me wait 30 min for my last pickup order, then sent the employee who just started their shift to tell me my order placed the night before wasn't ready and it would be another 2 hours. Apparently the other employees were scared to say anything, they actually told me that. Not their fault, but terrible management. This has happened consistently for months now.

Friendly staff, odd layout makes infrequent trips take longer.Edit: currently the lines are unacceptably long at peak hours of the day. Meats and produce are regularly unsealed or rotting. If you are going to shop here make sure to check the date and seal on ALL ITEMS. If you must get meat, avoid the Kroger brands and especially meat at the meat counter. The deli employees seem very apathetic as well, the items are often dry on the top, almost as if no one has bothered stirring it all day. Also, they are regularly out of items.I understand that this review seems like a person that had a bad trip and is complaining. The issues I have stated are the REGULAR problems, I have many more one-offs I did not share here. I have given this place a very long time to bounce back, it seems like when one problem is solved, two others take it's place. I would recommend not shopping here.Edit: a year after the end of quarantine and this store is still terrible. Mismanaged and understaffed.

I called to ask a question about something in the Deli, I let the phone ring for 5 minutes. Nobody picked up. I then called the Customer Service Desk, to ask, about my question in the Deli. The Customer Service Desk phone then rang for 5 minutes. Yeah, REAL GREAT customer service you’ll get here. I tried the phone because the last time I went in, workers were incredibly rude to me. I guess it’s all the same, on the phone. Go to the West Side one on Saginaw instead. They have excellent customer service, and actually enjoy their jobs.
