Do not buy from here if you are doing an online order. A literal nightmare because supposedly only the manager can resolve it. The employees hold no knowledge of how to do this supposedly. And the manager doesn’t even seem to be available on the weekends. Having to wait for a manager to do a refund is not the norm and employees should be trained better.Edit to add for the response: then your employees should say that, not “I don’t know. You’ll have to wait till our manager is in.” That’s the only response I got from 3 different employees. I don’t expect managers to work seven days a week but I tried on a Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday. I was told no manager was there. My original review stands, I’ve never had an issue returning anything before and people should be warned especially with defective products.

Avoid this Ace Hardware. They do not stand behind the Ace Promise when you have an issue. An employee named Dennis will treat you rudely also.

I’ve been using this location for a few months. I’ve always had good service until today. The young rude and impatient clerk got quite condescending with me. Still a great place but I’ll shop elsewhere

Took a faucet piece in and they spent quite a bit of time trying to find a piece that would fit. Unfortunately none worked. They are very helpful and friendly. Will go to them for other projects!!

Great local hardware store in Holt. I’d rather shop local, and this is the place. They are knowledgeable and have their pulse on what is happening locally for my gardening needs.

The staff was very friendly when I came in to have paint color matched off a sample I purchased at another Ace location. When I got home and started to put it on the walls the paint did not match. I called same day and was told to return Tuesday to see the manager, when I arrived Tuesday she had already left for the day. Frustrating but not a huge deal, when I asked if there was someone there that could help me the employee I spoke with on the phone stated there was not and that he absolutely told me the managers hours for the day and was not particularly nice about it. Another employee, who had mixed the paint for me, was friendly on both trips I made.When I later called to speak with the manager it was clear she had expected my call and had no intentions of rectifying the issue. The manager repeatedly stated that the paint dries differently on the wall than the sample on the lid of the can - when I explained that there was not a dried swatch on the lid of the can she then implied I should have still known that it would dry differently and they would not be doing anything for me. Overall my issue here is less with the paint that does not match and more so with unwillingness to trouble shoot a solution. My fiancé and I just purchased a home very close to this store but I would much rather drive to the Great Lakes Ace in Frandor seeing as they at least attempted to problem solve on this, as did the Ace customer care team and Benjamin Moore. These folks all assumed the store would have at least offered adding pigment to change the existing paint to something I could find a use for if they wouldn’t process a return but the store itself offered zero suggestions to try and turn this situation around.Disappointed with the service and lack of conflict resolution at this location.

There is a young man I think his name is Jared? I m know NOTHING about tools, nuts,bolts,as well as the middle round thing he was so knowledgeable and friendly. He should potentially be considered for a supervisor type position.Thanks for the assistanceALL THE STAFF IS GREAT.Also we should always support small businesses as opposed to going to big box stores ❤

I would avoid the Holt Ace hardware. They don’t help if THEY mismatch paint and they don’t return products they sell with a receipt. Terrible customer service. You have to go to corporate for any resolution. It’s a local issue too, my old ace and the Mason Ace don’t have these issues. 👎🏼

The staff here is always friendly and super helpful. Last week, I had screens rescreened, and they came out great. Today, I rented a carpet cleaner. They briefed us fully on how to use it, and helped us put it in the car. The store has pretty much anything you need. It's rare I need to go to a big box store. Plus, they are more helpful here, so I prefer it.

I needed to replace a second key fob for my push button car. I saved a whole lot of money by getting it from ACE HARDWARE. The manager Linda programed the new one. That service is included in the price. A dealer charges extra to do it. She did an AWESOME job. I definitely recommend her store for any of your hardware needs.

Diane (or (Diana?) Is the best there is in the small store front business. She should be a regional manager. Because of her I will never go anyplace else. Cut my 6 keys and checked me out with some tools and yeti cups with a sense of purpose and urgency all while educating a younger employee and helping another customer. She is top notch at her job.

It's absolutely lovely being followed around the store upon immediately entering it. I came in to find a Torx Set with a friend. I was greeted by this older gentleman who asked if I needed anything, I told him no and that I had found what I needed and was just debating on actually buying it. He then stood there and stared at me and my friend for maybe 10 seconds while we talked before moving down the aisle and standing behind a rack fiddling with something while still looking at us. I don't know this man, I was not loitering, I wasn't fiddling around with stuff, and I've never stepped foot in this store before. It's not a nice feeling when you think you are being profiled.

Definitely not your neighborhood hardware store. I walked in needed a part for my refrigerator which had stopped working. The older guy at the counter informed me that they closed in 3 minutes. I replied ok and walked out the door saying "I will take my business Lowes. As I got in my vehicle the punk kid behind the counter looked out the window and put his hands up to his face making a crying motion and laughing. Blown away by the horrible customer service!!!

Ace Hardware rocks! They are hometown people who provide superior service. You are greeted with a smile and they ask if you need help. Checkout is simple too. They will even carry items to tour vehicle for you if needed. This is an excellent hardware store. Make sure to get an Ace rewards card for discounts, sales, and promotions. It's worth it!

Very small place, poor selection, overpriced items and wanted to enter a giveaway for a grill. In the ad it stated giveaway would be drawn at 6pm, arrived at around 5pm only to find out they already held the drawing! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!! Great way to open the doors guys.
