The cashier Joel (white dude that’s bald at the top) insulted me and called me names for an error he made. I told him I’d report him and he said he didn’t care. Told manager, district manager and regional manager. All they said was “sorry”. He still works there and will continue to talk to people how he likes. Now if his skin was a different color, that would be a completely different story. Also the stores was dirty and not stocked, but that didn’t seem to bother anyone. Not worth the headache.

More attention should be given to keeping the store nice and tidy...generally products awaiting to be stocked clustering the aisle ways...not very neat and orderly...DUSAPPIINTING to say the LEAST.

Clean store, good prices. Well stocked, but cluttered. Employee's are courteous and helpful, however, I think it would be more Customer Friendly to let Customers know how and where to check their bags, rather than stopping them. A sign at the door would take care of this. I do not get a feeling of my bags being secure in an unattended space people just reach in and out of

Corporate needs to be involved or this place needs to close. The employees aren't responsive, they're always rude, the store is filthy at all times and nobody wants to help. I get this isn't the best job in the world but come on... The lack of decency and common sense is astounding.

EXCELLENT customer service. The store was clean but cluttered. I came in with a group to buy things for a school project and the store associate followed us around the entire time showing us where different items were that we wanted to purchase. He was a really nice young man. Very polite. Gave the store a 4 out of 5 because it was tight in some areas of the store do to clutter. However we did find everything we needed. We did not have to go to another store because they were out of something or didn't carry something.

The service was friendly, and there is a contest going on between stores to see who can sell the most share size M&M's. Also, go there for christmas shopping because as soon as you walk through the door there is a table of super cheap great Christmas toys. There aren't lots, so hurry. I'm giving it 4 stars though because it wasn't the cleanest place, but it also wasn't a super disgusting store.

It's bad enough that most of the time this particular Dollar General employees seem to not have a sense of urgency when it comes to taking care of their customers, but today when I went to this store there was no one at the counter, the doors were locked and I stood outside in the cold for almost 15 minutes while the young lady minding the register was on her break. You would think that management will be sure to have apple help. Someone from corporate needs to take a hard look at what's going on at their stores instead of worrying about their bottom line alone. If you continue to have your customers mistreated you won't have to worry about about a line there won't be one there for you.

This store is very unorganized. Aisles are blocked with stock transporting carts.Twelve customers in line and management refuse to open more than one register.Giving a two star rating is very generous on my part. They should send corporate people there incognito to see what is going on in the Highland Park Dollar General. Money is being lost due to customers walking out as they tire of waiting to be rung up.At this rate I expect this Highland Park Dollar General to be the next retail fatality. In the store five minutes with no staff in sight.

Poorly stocked, no staff, never have what I am looking for. Shelves are always either empty or half empty. Wouldn't waste tome going there at all. You would have better luck at the Family Dollar across from it

Fix the prices..it does not correspond with the register..many stores display a cheaper price but when you go to check out..the price is not the same..but its all blames on corporate which store managers say they are awaiting some red BS..to fix the prices..some stores are good and clean many others are not displaying incorrect prices..and they are not selling it for the price we see ...wich is FALSE ADVERTISING.FIX ISSUES PLEASE

Horrible workers very rude especially when wanting to put your phone number in for the app then shorted me my change many times. Never opens on time they really need some new workers that have good customer service and knows how to count change this store is making extra money if they do it to most customers or the employees are putting it in there pockets do not recommend this store

Unlike the usual Dollar general stores this one's line moved pretty fast and the people behind the counter are courteous. that's the best you can say for a chain that is usually just slow and typically has and untrained staff.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would!! The Cashier that was in the store July 23,2020 at 8:50am ATTITUDE is HORRIBLE!! If I don’t have the exact change DoNot Get a Attitude at me!! I understand it’s a Coin shortage but what you’re not going to do is have a attitude because I don’t have EXACT CHANGE! I’m tired of this place. It’s not the first time I experienced HORRIBLE ATTITUDES IN THIS STORE

I went there to purchase Prairie Farms 2% Milk, but not only were the shelves empty, but that location apparently phased out that brand in favor of Clover Valley, as the tags on the front of the ledges read.Very disappointing, same as the Woodward--Kenilworth location.So I simply purchased Suave Advanced Therapy Lotion, the three-ounce bottle; then I left.Not to dissuade anyone else from going there, but I really didn't have a great experience at that location. However, I'm not ruling out going back there for something in the future.

Out of the four dollar stores in the Model T Plaza, Dollar General had what I was looking for: poster paint and $5.00 wireless ear buds.Contrary to stereotypes regarding "hoid stores", the staff waa pleasant and the store clean.Don't judge the inside by who walks by outside. I never have a problem here.

No sales papers out (ok). Manager told the cashier to get me one after cashing out the lady. He proceeds to take EVERYONE who came after me. After i brought this to his attention he said he has to finish checking everyone out (even though they were after me). I left!

Nice staff, need to hire a stock person to get things on the shelves. This dollar tree never have my gum. I be thinking it's in the millions of boxes that's not open yet. I would suggest that you go to the Dollar Tree on Division in Detroit aboutv1/2 mile away.

The store use to so clean and organized. Maybe they were in the middle of stocking shelves. Plus they use to be so friendly to customers when it 1st opened. Maybe it was just a bad day for them

Very convient but this is the UNACCEPTABLE. I've seen an expired candy bar one that was expired by a month which isn't too bad but not great either but this is expired by years!!! Don't know if I'll go back.

This place is awful, music was so loud, it seemed like I was at a bar or lounge. When I said something to the cashier she smacked her lips and rolled her eyes and said the manager is outside. Bad customer service, the manager Cheryl is the absolute worst, things are always in the wrong place.

I love shopping there it is so gorgeous that they look out for the little people you can go there and get mostly everything you need that is the best store ever in Holland Park love those guys and I know every last one of them their thank you for coming to Highland Park Michigan

I wasnt in the store for long to see much bit when i go get me some ibuprofen for my headache which i needed so bad, only to find out when i got home that the expiration date on it is 08/20, which made me come here now to Warn you to check the dates on everything you grab since they missed it expired on the shelf for 8 months what else is growing hair in there

This store is located in a strip mall in Highland Park, Michigan. Looks very jumbled inside but the workers are very friendly and helpful and will help you navigate. Good workers are always a plus.
