I come here for lunch every time I'm in town.I love the cornbreadstick with maple syrup that is promptly brought as soon as you reach your table. The menu always has some new things on it and I've tried something different every time I've visited. Probably the most memorable dish I've had there is the Roasted Chestnut Bisque... So good!I'm a big fan of the vegetable sides that come with the main. Particularly the roasted parsnips are fantastic.

I love root beer and my friend told me they have maple root beer it was so good! I also ordered the steak, it was cooked to perfection! My friend ordered the pizza with was absolutely delicious and we both got the bread pudding for dessert! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Great dining experience! We chose this place as a destination motorcycle ride-for-food at the recommendation of friends, and it did not disappoint! The fresh farm to table menu was a surprise and the food was exceptional. Great service from start to finish. We chose to eat outside rather than in the dining room. Overall terrific dining experience. Motorcycle friendly parking lot.

We’ve eaten here so many times and it never fails to impress. The food is always fantastic and the brews are great! My personal favorite is the buffalo chicken dip with the flat bread. We’ve also had large parties come in, knowing fully that they do not take reservations. It’s never been an issue for us. Josh is a great guy and a great chef!

Food is amazing and staff is always very compassionate, attentive, and accommodating. It seems that some people had a misunderstanding and it was none of the staffs fault. Some people are just incompetent and feel they are entitled to everything. If you want amazing food and quality service Maple Grille will not disappoint. I have truly enjoyed every experience that I have ever had there.

One of the best spots in the area. Ingredients are fresh and local, and it shows in the deliciously creative dishes that are prepared thoughtfully and to order. They don't take reservations and never have, but you can enjoy a refreshing craft beverage brewed on site while you wait. The wait is never that long because Josh and crew are real professionals. So, thanks Josh for doing what you do because I think that we are lucky to have you and the Maple Grill in our community!

Visiting Michigan means trying new places to eat so we stopped at the Maple Grille. This is a farm to table place that is down to earth, using a wood fire and an open kitchen with a dynamic menu that looks like it changes depending on supply and demand. Three of us ordered a wide variety: Fish, pizza, and chicken. Everything was great, and we especially enjoyed the corn bread loaves appetizers... with maple syrup of course. They have a few things for sale but the draw here is the food. Not inexpensive, but certainly a good value for the menu and amount of food. Also, their craft root beer was tasty and we liked the stainless steel glasses. Everything was fresh. Highly recommend based on our one visit.

2022-12-28 1713 local timeWent to dinner with the family last night. This is our first time here. This place came recommended from four separate social circles that know I enjoy my food.Josh got a cup of the Smoked Trout Chowder, full order of the Hot Pulled Beef-and-Gravy sandwich, two full flights of everything but IPAs, and Roasted Chestnuts. I got the Lamb Burger, Grilled Trout, Pan Fried Walleye, and Maple Root Beer. Nikki got the Pan Fried Whitefish, Maple Root Beer Float, Apple Crisp, and Maple Bread Pudding. Bonnie got a Patty Melt and Maple Root Beer Float. Pete got the Sirloin Steak and an IPA. Grace got a Wood Fired Cheese Pizza. As with all of my travels the table started out taking a quick few photos and then sampling each others plates. The Hot Pulled Beef-and-Gravy sandwich was a shredded beef masterpiece. The gravy was thick and heavy and coated almost every strand of beef. The weight of the sandwich was probably close to a full pound. The pronounced beef flavor was throughout the gravy showing that the sauce was made with roast drippings. The Smoked Trout Chowder was wonderfully flavored with smoked trout. It was a good mix between what you normally consider a traditional chowder to be and eating a side of smoked trout. It has been a number of years since I have had actual fire Roasted Chestnuts and they are exactly what I remembered. A hearty mealy nut cracked from the fire. If you know then you know... and if you don't... you want to find out.The Lamb Burger was one of the most phenomenal burgers I have had. The lamb was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to a proper "lamb" temperature. The bun was flame toasted as with all of the sandwiches we seen being prepared. The sauce was the perfect accompaniment to the burgers flavor. From the three fish fillets, the Grilled Trout, the Pan Fried Walleye, and the Pan Fried Whitefish... They were a good dish. They were lightly seasoned, properly cooked, and moist. Both the walleye and the whitefish were exactly what you would get from most places. The char on the trout and the "fish" flavor made it the favorite of these three for me on the night. Both Nikki and Josh liked the walleye over the trout. The Patty Melt was a good sandwich according to Bonnie. She did not rant and rave over it as she had others and I did not get a taste, so we can assume it was acceptable. The Cheese Pizza had a good wood smoke flavor that got into the cheese topping and the crust. The crust was crisp and had solid flavor. The cheese was your standard pizza cheese. The Sirloin Steak that Pete got was every bit as a good as any steakhouse you will go to in the similar price range. The cook was perfect rare. The simple seasoning allowed the natural beef flavor to come through perfunctorily and was exactly what I love about a good steak. The sides on the plates of squash and butter beans with kale were not something I thought were flavorful. The squash was squash with nothing special. I did not care for the butter beans and kale but that is because I am not a fan of kale. Pete who eats a lot of kale was also not a fan of it. Josh, Nikki, and Bonnie liked both of the sides. The Maple Root Beer was pleasant but no where near my top 20 root beers. I had a mild sweetness from what I can assume was maple syrup but there was no pronounced maple flavor in the root beer. The Apple Crisp was very flavorful with large chunks of apple, a slight flavor of maple, and light sprinkle of crumble on the top.The Bread Pudding was easily one of the best I have had in my life. This is easily top 5 bread puddings in my almost 5 decades. The sauce was sweet, the bread was flavorful, the temp at table was hot but not boiling, and the overall mouth feel was luxurious. Regardless of what entrée or appetizer you order, you must try the bread pudding.Side Note - the photos do not do justice to the portions on the plates... Be careful, because the quantity and quality of the food can cause you to be late for work the next day, at least that was the case for my Josh lol.Kid-friendliness: Mechanical riding horse in the back

My favorite restaurant! Love that everything is cooked in beef tallow and their beers are very good. Pizzas are excellent and you can get as many toppings as you’d like! Great atmosphere and high quality eats. The photos I shared are summer time at the picnic tables with my dog and a lamb gyro. You gotta try this place!

We came here for the tag-a-brew tag. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated in this comfortable little place. The whitefish sandwich was amazing! My wife had chicken gizzards which were perfectly cooked and breaded. She thought they were a bit salty and they brought a whole new batch just to make sure she was happy. You will not find a friendlier service or a better cooked meal.

Pretty cool place! We were greeted promptly and given a bit of an orientation, being our fist time here. A bit different than traditional restaurants. You have to order at the counter, for food and beer. All in all, the system works well. We had a couple of Hazy IPAs, and split the 1/2 pound MG (Maple Grill) burger. Just a fantastic place!

Once again we drove 2 hrs. just to dine here for our 4th time. Never a disappointment. The flank steak was perfectly seasoned and grilled. The whitefish was excellent; flaky and moist. And the bread pudding baked in the wood hearth with maple cream is over the top.

Was with a bridal party. I was in from out of town. Went to check us in and and there was a misunderstanding about the reservation. Owner was very rude to me and dismissive of our situation. He told me we could get in line or go somewhere else. After receiving such cold energy from him, we left. I will not return, even with my many upcoming trips.*Previous waitress of 13 years and a manager in food for 5+ years

Great restaurant and great experience. Don’t forget they don’t take reservations and post it everywhere before you go bridezilla publicly on the business owners and publicly defame them for your own mishap that you’ve done to yourself. Follow that little tip and you’ll have. A great experience. Will go back first chance I get, A+ establishment!

Heard a lot of good things, but it didn't prepare me for the experience. This place should be on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives for the unique fare and food quality. Superb staff The highest quality food with a fair price point. Sample menu attached. It changes routinely.Vegetarian options: They offer a beautiful salad option and vegetarian burgers and pizzas
