When I need anything in the hardware line, I go to Ace Hardware in Hastings first. I am always helped with politeness, efficiency, and patience. I am an 81-year-old Grandma with a fix-it-myself obsession, and they not only tell me where in the store I can find the item I am looking for, but often someone will walk with me and help me make the selection. They give me sound advice, and point out things that I would not have considered, even if it means changing my mind about buying something I thought I needed. The store is stocked with an incredible variety of merchandise, and when I have time to browse, I love to wander down their many aisles and just gawk. I'll take a small town store like Ace in Hastings over the big guys in the city where you have to search for someone to help you find what you came for.

Stopped in during a work trip as I don't have a PK Grills dealer anywhere near me. Hung out looking at grills for 15-20 mins and not a single employee greeted me or asked if I needed help. Guess I'll buy my PK 360 online then...Impressive selection though, just zero customer service.

Hardly any of the staff are able to answer even basic level questions. They struggle to even run a point of sale effectively or completely. A cashier today didn't know how to manually look up items on the computer. They are also consistently rude, and act as if you are bothering them by asking for information. I'll be going elsewhere from now on.

Has almost everything you need. I can just never find a person to help find things anywhere usually 😕. Prices are pretty decent and their end of summer tent sale I look forward to yearly. They have a huge selection of water/mud boots too.

Took my chainsaw in for repair as it wasn't running right. Cleetus changed the sprocket. I was like, really? Sprocket for a idle/bogging down issue. So I took it home. Didn't run it for a while and when I started it up, it had the same issue. I took it back and had to argue with management on the benching fee to have it looked at again as the same issue wasn't fixed the first time. They put a new carburetor on it. I am now running it and the same issue is occurring again. I will never take anything to Hastings Ace Hardware for repair. For the money I spent on repair, I could have been 3/4 the way to a new chainsaw.*Update*So I took my Stihl chainsaw to GreenMark in Hastings. The repairman said that this is a known issue for my chainsaw model. There's a rubber grommet that was faulty between the carburetor and the engine that cracks. They replace that, and it's running very well. He said I probably didn't need a new carburetor that Ace replaced. If you want your Stihl equipment repaired, don't bring it here, but drive up the road to GreenMark. They seemed better trained than Willy from high school at this Ace Hardware.

Went to Ace to see if this is the place for my new grill purchase and it was!!!the staff on knowledgeable on grills was awesome. Ten times better than anywhere hands down. Thank u Ace 💓

Extremely rude and hostile staff who openly discriminate against protected health decisions/restrictions. I have never before had a "manager" literally in my face and shaking with anger because they don't like someone's personal choices that are legally protected and not bothering anyone. I'm afraid to find out what other discrimination occurs at this store. Absolutely shameful and disgusting behavior.

Ordered grill for assembly and to take away old grill. They came a day earlier than scheduled so nobody was there, leaving a brand new expensive grill next to the road in the open. They didn’t call to inform us, nor take away the old grill as ordered.

I go here on a regular basis and have purchased many items from hundreds of dollars to just dollars. They have an excellent selection for the size of the store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have used the repair shop for a misshapen with my lawnmower and the repair was reasonably priced. Their rewards program is pretty good and regularly sends me coupons for cash or just discounted prices and you can stack certain coupons as much as you want as long as they aren't expired. I recommend this store to anyone who does their own repairs, renovations and/or upgrades to get what they need to get the job done right.

I really like Ace hardware and there’s very good people there but there’s always a few that have an attitude for some reason. I had a promotional coupon and a five dollar rebate coupon that one lady there made it unnecessarily difficult when I asked if I could use them both which I thought I could in the first place

Hastings ACE Hardware is awesome home town store. Friendly knowledgeable staff. I was having issues with finding a refrigerator bulb, so I thought 🤔 Hastings ACE. They walked me right to the bulb I needed. This is not an isolated incident with the level of assistance as there is a level of trust that you will get exactly what you need. Check out was an ease as well. Plenty of parking and very clean store. Keep doing what your doing!

Super close to us and thankfully it is that close because we are here at least once a week. They always have what we need, and we always have to drag ourselves out of the really nice BBQ/Grill section. Everyone is really nice and helpful.
