I was in a couple of weeks ago and the cashier was chewing out this lady for her ID. From what I could tell she was only purchasing a box of soap so it made it very awkward to listen to. Maybe it was some CBD soap?

Well stocked....though they sometimes run out of Diet Dew 2 liters... Hastings is a Diet Dew town! ;-) ....SUPER FRIENDLY and HELPFUL staff! I have had a back injury that is obvious because of how I walk. They ALWAYS offer to help take the stuff to my car. And they offer to let me take the "flat" home with me to make it easier on me. (The plastic holder for 8- 2-liter bottles.)I've lived in Grand Rapids, Wyoming, Caledonia, and Hastings. I tell everyone that I LOVE living in a small town, and businesses that are run like this one are the reason why.

In the past, I was amazed at the terrible state of the store. The parking lot is in desperate need of new pavement with parking lines repainted. The front of the store could use a touch up, badly. It's age is showing. The size of the store is quite small with a large amount of product inside, making for small aisles and cramped movement.As someone who once worked for the company in a different state, I felt the store needed to be reorganized big time. In my last visit to the store, it seems the employees there had more respect for customers and better stocking methods. Though, I have witnessed mountains of broken down cardboard on the floor or on u-boats blocking aisles and corners, making for an unsightly mess. This never should be how they handle cardboard boxes during stocking, if it is still happening.Unfortunately, I would sooner visit Kmart or Wal-Mart than this Family Dollar. This store could seriously use a good renovation to be more appealing.

Very disappointed with the number of shoppers disobeying the mask mandate. I realize that it's difficult for store operations to urge compliance but this was ridiculous. Other stores in Hastings do NOT have this issue with their customers.

They have a great selection of merchandise.But it's packed full. The cashiers are all nice and helpful! Very clean!
