My 1st time there at Monticello's!!!! Wowwww, the ready-to-grab cranberry chicken salad croissant sandwich was DELICIOUS, and so was the very veggie side salad and also the tiramisu!!!! I will definitely be back!!!! A+ ❤️ I'll be telling everyone about your gorgeous and well-stocked deli, market & butcher store!!!!! This MARKET IS GORGEOUS!!!!! TONS OF DESSERTS TO TAKE FOR A PARTY!

Amazing meat selection, food and adult beverages! Staff is also very helpful and kind. I forgot my card in the car and the cashier let me run out and grab it. Instead of having me stand in line when I got back in she checked me out as soon as I got back in. Exceptional customer service! I wish I caught her name. Thank you for a great experience every time !

One of the very few go-to places for high-quality local meat and probably the best bbq sausages.Update this is a seven year review, as we really like coming to Monticello's. Outstanding protein, still quirky selection of local products and continued friendly staff. Consistency? They have the recipe. Yay! We will of course keep coming.Udate: Still quirky, awesome. 8 years now. Excellent protein. Choices were great. They had even more local stuff, MI made, up the ranch sauce and the maple smoking chips. Good choice.Not much to add, BUT I have to highlight the snack sticks (dry sausages), of which I now have to get at least 2 pounds and the reliable presence of stunning tri-tip steaks every time I visited. Yay!

Fantastic independent grocer known for its meat market and deli. Owner and staff are super nice and customer service is excellent. Great beer and wine selection too, and lots of local foods. Gluten-free options in the freezer section too. Supplier tastings are a regular event. Closed on Sundays, so get in before then for awesome grilling options.

Saw their commercial on the tube and decided to give Monticello's a try and the drive was worth it. I immediately knew I was in the right place by taking one whiff of the place inside. Wonderful smells and sooo many different products to choose from. The ground chuck looked and tastes fantastic. The staff is super friendly and I will definitely be back for more Monticello goodness! Don't forget to check out their hot soups!

Amazing attention to details for smoked turkey, smoked salmon, spiral ham, roast beef, cheese and veggie trays for a company wine pairing event. They were beautiful and delicious. Rachael was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend Monticello's for any family or corporate affair.

Hands down my favorite market place in Lansing! Great family owned business that has the whole family involved. They are always improving their selection and service.Try a sample of the lobster bisque if they have it out, to die for. Jalapeno cheese beef sticks, Pineapple & Habanero brats made in the store and are killer!

My siblings showed me this shop when I drove 3 hours to visit them in Lansing. We grilled the best bratwurst I have ever had in my life. I brought some home to Ohio for my Dad and we ended up calling ahead and taking a large order for friends and family, and they were ecstatic to have it ready, and send us with snacks and samplers for spending the money, making the drive, and continuing to go back. The meat selection was ridiculously amazing, and the cuts of meat were fresh and beautiful. The whole shop is amazing, and I can't wait to make the drive again.

For prepared meals, specialty items (aged cheese thru multiple Paso Robles CA wine options), bulk spice, and--particularly--meat selections, Monticello's is the best. I'm excited to finally prepare one is their fryer chickens! Oh, and the staff is as friendly as they are helpful!

An excellent market: well-stocked & well-staffed. A truely pleasant experience!We've recently discovered that they have the best fresh bratwurst sausages we've ever had, and we've had many brands and meat-counter offerings. They're tender and juicy with a nice little snap when bitten into, and the best flavor ever! I don't know where they got their recipe, but I hope they never change it!

Purchased a NY strip roast for an early Christmas dinner on Wednesday 12/21/22. This was my first time cooking this cut. The seasoning package included was incredible and with some help from the internet cooked it to perfection! So good, guests were absolutely raving. Monticellos is now my go-to for special occasions. Butcher didn't know the difference between a Delmonico steak and a Rib eye! Then makes snarky comments to a coworker that the customer is an idiot for not knowing they were the same cut of meat. Who's needing an education here? Even Google knows they are different cuts of meat!

Being a meat lover and recently moving to East Lansing, I looked forward to coming here the most. Heard good things about it from friends and community forums. I had a recipe that required two pounds of meat and thought it was the perfect excuse for my anticipated first visit. They had 10 pounds of the meat I was looking for. I requested 2 pounds and the answer I got left me speechless. They told me I can only take the meat as the whole 10 pounds and they won't cut it. How can you call yourself a butcher if you are not cutting up meat? I asked why they cant cut and they were not able to provide me with a clear explanation.

I shop often at this store. In my opinion it has the best meat selection and quality in the greater Lansing area. I wanted to share an experience I had tonight - we love the canollis the store has. There were none there again and my daughter had her heart set on them. One of the employees went above and beyond and made us 6 fresh. He grabbed all of the ingredients and dropped what he was doing to help us ! It was so awesome and I wanted to just say thank you- !!☆☆☆☆☆!

What a great specialty market! They have a extensive deli, with almost everything made on site. They have a beautiful bakery case. They have a great selection of local meats, and they make sausage and smoke on site. Everything is super fresh. The staff is all super friendly and super helpful. I plan to order a locally grown fresh turkey for Thanksgiving. I'm so glad a made the trip to check out this great store.

Huge meat selection and lots of really unique products. The snack sticks, fish and steaks looked great. My brother got two ribeye steaks at a reasonable price and they were really high quality, marbled meat. The butcher staff seems very knowledgeable too.Good beer selection too. Some prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores but it's relative to other specialty grocery stores.

Love Monticello's!! The beefsticks are really tasty, as is the quiche and mustards that the local grocer does not or will not carry. The staff is so friendly. If you have never visited this unique shop, please do. I don't think you would be disappointed.
