Everyone at Great Lakes is very professional and helpful! Joe installed our inground dog fence on almost 2 acres and we have been very happy with it. He spent almost an hour training with Hunter and us. Because Hunter is a young lab that we adopted from the local animal shelter, we did not know his background. He LOVES to run and ran through the fence once, which freaked me out! Joe and Lisa were able to advise me on how to change the fence settings. Let's just say, Hunter is a very happy dog and so are we! I can also keep his collar on when we go for rides and it doesn't shock him! NOTE: We tried a GPS system first and decided the line was too irregular in the woods. We returned it within 90 days and purchased the inground fence which works very consistently.

We had a dog fence installed when we moved into our home and could not be happier about it. It has been a couple of years now and it has worked flawlessly. The batteries for the receivers have been long lasting. I even called to see about getting a collar that was more durable and they hooked me up with ones that the dogs have not been able to remove. This has given us a peace of mind that our dogs will be safe in the confines of our home. We now have another puppy and have worked with them to begin getting this one familiar with the fence. We enjoy our DogWatch underground pet fencing so much that it was a no-brainer that we were going to go back to Joe and Lisa at Great Lakes Pet Fencing for our leash training needs. We purchased two of the SideWalker Leash Trainer collars for our rambunctious Yellow Labradors. They are 6 and 4 years old and listen pretty good while off leash but were absolutely horrible on leash. In an attempt to make vet visits easier and wanting to take them along on more adventures we needed some help. These collars did the trick! It takes a little adjusting to find the right spot and level for each dog (which is expected) but once that is dialed in you are good to go. Night and day difference in the first use. We went from getting drug all over and risk getting a dislocated shoulder to holding the leash with one had and actually enjoying a walk with our dogs. 10/10 would recommend!

I have had the underground fence for over a year for my border collie. I never have to worry. It's great. I recently ordered the "Big Leash" remote system. After reading the directions, I used the vibration setting just twice and she understood and responded correctly. What a fantastic training device.

Joe installed the DogWatch underground fence for us today in Gladwin. Luckily he was able to still get the wire into the ground because it started snowing as he finished up today.
