Went to look for a prom dress for my daughter last week. Woman with blue? hair was working counter and seemed nice but after a while of looking I think she forgot we were in there and a regular/someone she was acquainted with came in. They went towards the back of the store and started discussing some not so nice things about another shop that one of them had become "friends" with recently, so they had an excuse to keep tabs on them. Nice selection of clothes but counter lady seemed to have genuine hate for other local businesses, what a shame. We walked out without buying.

I'm so glad my kiddo and I stopped in while passing through Harrisville! The owners were so friendly, and had a nice mix of resale items and cute gifts. I wasn't really in the market for clothing, but they seemed to have a very nicely curated selection with great sales! We bought a 3D printed dragon from an Oscoda artisan - my daughter cannot wait to display in her room! Also, don't rush past the small flowerbeds out front - we were lucky to see many beautiful butterflies on our way in and out of store.Thanks ladies!

I know one of the co owners personally, will never shop at her store again, I guarantee she talks about every person who visits as soon as they leave….the couple of times I’ve been in there have overheard her doing it, and god forbid you come in with a coach purse, you will be berated as soon as you leave….she did this to a friend of mine😠

Stopped in during a semi emergency, two kids fell on the sidewalk while running for icecream and we were closest to Hollyhock. We went in to ask for bandaids and were immediately assisted by the wonderful Abby. She made the kids feel safe and let them pick out their bandaid and told them how brave they are. The kindness and willingness to immediately help two young children with skinned knees was amazing and I am so thankful for Abby, her resourcefulness, and Monica's kindness in helping during our little catastrophe.

Awesome owners/staff and super cute shop! I'm leaving this review like a year after I visited, but just loved them so much I had to share. They have tons of locally made stuff that makes great gifts or souvenirs. We visited some shops in Oscoda while in town, and I have to say that the Hollyhock Emporium was by far our favorite of Harrisville and Oscoda, and a must-see if you're anywhere near the area (:

Great shopping experience! They even played with my kids when I shopped (convenient chalk and bubbles on the porch!) And didn't get mad when one of them dropped something that was for sale under the porch... got some nice clothes too!

I was in town visiting a friend of mine and happened upon the store because I like seeing local businesses. The woman running the place was very rude and called me out for not being a town local. All I wanted to do was support a local business and was berated for it. Definitely not coming back.

This place is great. The staff is incredible! Great to go if your daughter needs a dress and you're not great with fashion. They'll give you all the help you could need! Love this place!

I came to Harrisville recently for a long overdue trip with my kids. This store was recommended to me. It was my favorite store/place on that trip. I absolutely loved everything in that store and so much so that I completely threw my budget out the window as there were too many things I had to have! Lol. The goat milk lotions are the best and I found some really nice handmade bags and jewelry. Lots of handmade things and other unique finds that you won't find elsewhere. I love this store. Can't wait until we are back in the area again and shop at Hollyhock.

Such a cute little shop, even has locally made options!! Got two matching straw hats and a lil cat doobie!! Cat nip toy!!!!! Fantastic. Definitely stop in ♡
