Took my AWD mower to the small engine department and asked for them to change both belts change the spark plug tune it up do an oil change and a new blade, they changed one belt sharpened the blade.used it twice and the belt I was told was good just snapped almost 4 months of them having my mower and this is the quality of their work I was lied to on the progress and Tony and Justin are worthless to me the store manager leant me a mower and didn't charge me for what they did but they need to be replaced

Most of the staff are kind and attentive, but watch out for the older women who works the register and the older guy in the lumber yard. Today she was laughing at the customer in front of me in line. I politely asked for a bag as she made change. She kept laughing. Then when I reiterated, thinking she might not have heard me, she said, "I'll get a bag for you when my hands aren't full, okay?" I was taken back for a second. The normal thing to do would be to acknowledge my request the first time I asked rather than give me a hard time about it. That's not the first time she has been rude.The old guy in the yard consistently gives me dirty looks then grunts and points for me to drive "left" or "to the right", leaving me to guess where to wait. Yesterday, five minutes later he came behind me in a forklift. Before I could get out and load the pack of shingles into my trunk he slammed the dirty thing in as hard as he could, then slammed my trunk shut like it was a Sherman tank. Last week he pulled a 1" by 8" plank full of knots and laughed as he handed it to me and said, "That's the one for you." I didn't complain as I was ripping it for a shim to frame in a door. He has had a bug up his butt about me from day one. He is so nasty, I will drive to Clare or Gladwin if I can, just to avoid him. It's a shame because 9/10 people there are really nice.The young people there are very nice and intelligent. The old guy with grey hair is kind, as is the man who suffered a stroke. Anyway, you can tell the ones best to avoid. They have dirty looks and I think it's obvious they don't want to be there.

They always have whatever I need. Tony in the outdoor power equipment department is very helpful and knowledgeable! I shop there all the time and the service and pricing is always good!

Absolute worst hardware store in the Nation. The Stihl dealer manager obviously slept throughout his Stihl training and was extremely rude to me when I simply stated to him that the part he pulled for me was incorrect and that I needed the correct part, I will be contacting the Stihl Rep that oversees the dealers in the area to make a complaint. I watched as a wonderful female employee was shamed by management in front of many customers for having been in the restroom when customers began lining up to be cashed out. Rather than just hoping on the register for her so she could use the restroom, he felt it was better to shame her in front of people. She was very distraught by this as you could see the tears in her eyes. I purchased lumber and was loaded up with the wrong lumber by the incompetent "supervisor" in the lumber yard. Then had to drive back to the store just to be told that I was the one in the wrong. This all happened in one visit to the store. I truly hope that the wonderful female employee that was so wrongly treated is able to find another employer that will treat her properly, you were a joy, keep your head up.

This is not a big box store, and they do not carry everything those large stores have, but they do have a good supply, and more importantly, the customer service is top notch. I had paint mixed today, and even with one of those machines, the color wasn't a match. So they worked on it until it was right and I was happy. Plus, free popcorn on the weekends!

We bought a small cabin in Harrison and it needs some work. In a 10 day visit I would say we went to this store 8 times and each time their staff was very pleasant and friendly and helpful. Not once did they not have what we were looking for including cutting wood for some outdoor repairs.

I once had a staff member here help me load up some lumber into my car and when I didn't have enough space, they stopped what they were doing, loaded up the rest in their truck and followed me to my house to drop it off. I've never had a bad experience shopping here.

This place usually has whatever it is I may be looking for, for a somewhat reasonable price. Some things here are pricey but usually it's okay. The staff are friendly, could smile more😁, and there's usually never a line. I like this place
