I absolutely love what this young man is doing with his business! We definitely needed a "pet store" here in our town. I hated driving 25 miles one way just for dog food or crickets. We would have Iiked to look around your store a bit. It seems like you have a nice variety of pet and garden items, and the store was clean. You only get 1 star because after driving all the way from Lake City to check out your store, you wouldn't let my 6 year old use the bathroom. Unfortunately, we left to find a bathroom, didn't buy anything because it was an emergency, and probably won't be back since you close so early. Bummer... and yes, I noticed your no public restrooms sign on your door. However, most places will make an exception for children.

Excellent selection of products from farm feed to plumbing supplies. I was impressed with how kind and personable the staff was as well. I'd drive 30 minutes to get supplies if need be!Would recommend to anyone.

I’ve been in here once. I bought a really nice quality bird feeder here for 30 bucks.The selection in this store is a bit weird because it’s got two major sections:pet supplies and tools.Those two sections are just HUGE. They also have gardening supplies, and a lot of other general store merchandise (I’ve seen baking trays, party decorations, home decor, etc)

I love this store. If you want to shop for your pets or Home and Garden it's got a little bit of everything. The only problem I have is the prices or sometimes a little expensive. But there's so much great stuff it still keeps me going back time and time again

The proprietress of this store is friendly and helpful. She has an incredible amount of stock in just about anything you could want. Variety Discount is a fantastic small town store.I’m in 100% agreement with her regarding the policy to wear masks inside her store during this pandemic.

Good in a pinch for some items. Bird seed/feeders/houses high priced. Same with pet supplies and toys. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Fun to look around. They definitely have variety.

A fair priced "Everything under the sun" type variety store. Only a few " Family owned and operated" stores left in this area..... I'm glad this one is still around, and being past down within the family. Get in and support them today!!!! They have something for absolutely everyone.

The younger kid who now owns it is nice but the prices for expired pet food are quite high. Also the post it notes everywhere that appear to be from an angry, controlling grandmother are off putting. It has such an oppressive and depressing atmosphere. I'd go to the Amish stores or merchandise outlet over this place. Please chill with the scolding notes. It reminds me of a 90s store that's telling children not to touch anything. Adults are in here. No touching? How on earth can you find out info if you cant touch anything. Chucks is much better too. No oppression. No notes. The second star is for the kid. He's nice and seems to not be the who's so militant. "No pet food on the counter"? You want me to balance it in the air? They don't help you lift or carry either. Pass.

Went in with my two siblings 6 years old and 8 years old and my best friend 18 looking for pet food( I knew where it was) but figured I’d browse with the kids because they love going to stores they don’t typically go with me and we’re excited we went in and had been there for about 4-5 minutes when she watched us go up and down each isle she then asked “can I help you with anything” and I said “no thank you I know what I want but thank you” (she walks off) finally gets to the isle I know has what I want she walks up tells me I have 2 minutes to get out of her store 😑 so I just asked what’s wrong and she mumbles “mY sToRe My rUlEs”. First off all I don’t believe you treat a customer who’s doing nothing wrong and comes in regularly to buy stuff like that it’s not like we had shown any signs of wanting to steal or vandalize the place. so now the kids are shaken up and I tell them it’s fine just go get some candy and not even a minute later they come back to me and say they’re scared because the lady who owns the store just took a picture of them and walked away so by now I’m frustrated because I had only gone there to buy 1 item and now she’s taking pictures of two children and now I’m weirded out,don’t want to buy anything and want to confront her because it’s very creepy and not what you do in general..... Very Bad Owner not so much staff owner claims it’s because she was “scared “ because I usually go in alone...... how stupid is that imagine getting more customers then threatening to kick them out,losing sales can’t say I feel bad because I don’t. Don’t imagine the store being very successful in the future. NOT A STORE YOU WNAT TO TAKE MORE THAN 2 people in if you don’t want to get kicked out😂
