We got our family cat from the shelter a few years ago, she is a great cat, we use the boarding and grooming services as well as the vet clinic on property, this is a no kill shelter and take in animals from all over to rehome and foster. They are always looking for volunteers to walk and exercise the animals. Now go adopt a new pet!

I had been looking for a second cat for a while now and came across Little Traverse Bay Humane Society while searching around. One of the cats they had named Buddy immediately caught my eye, so I called to confirm they still had him and filled out an online application the day before I drove up to save some time. I've visited a few other shelters/humane societies in the past, and LTBHS blows them all out of the water. The building and all the animal cages were impeccably clean, the employees were all helpful and pleasant to deal with and the adoption process was a breeze! I ended up taking Buddy home with me, they even gave me some food, toys, a few of his blankets and some other accessories all free of charge. Buddy is settling in nicely and loves cuddles while watching my fish tank. If you're looking for a new furry companion, I can't recommend this place enough!

We think our humane society is one of the best. They really care about the animals. It is a very clean and friendly place to visit, enjoy giving animals attention, and taking one home now and again. All our cats and dogs we have gotten there have been gems.

I have called many vet clinics in my area, and for the services that they offer, the Little Traverse Bay humane Society is the most reasonable.They have a program where you can have your animal companion spayed or neutered, plus a rabies shot, for half the price of what everyone else charges.Their initial exam and all their other shots are very reasonable as well.I would highly recommend calling them and making an appointment, and then paying for your services over the phone, so that you and your furry companion have a long life together.

The lady's here are amazing, They care about the animals here, they are in need of serious help from volunteers. Just make sure you don't miss the orientation when you do volunteer bc your waiting. Trust me I know lol. Not missing the next one.

This is an incredible humane society and they do so much for the community. We’ve adopted two dogs from here, taken advantage of their puppy training program, and boarded our dogs here. I cannot recommend them enough!

The mechanics were so friendly and helpful...anytime i called for assistance about my car, they awnsered their phones promptly and were able to fix my car promptly. So far their rates have been reasonable and fair priced. I would highly recommend then

Dr Ryan was my dogs vet from day one Shady feared cars so Dr Ryan would come on his lunch for whatever Shady needed at the time on 3/20/24 Shady went to the rainbow with Dr Ryan myself husband and a couple close friends by his side Dr Ryan Knows they aren't pets they're family ..From the front desk to the kennel care Jensen's is the place for any 4 legged family member's care because they care as much as we do about them.

Very helpful in grading if a pet is for your family 2 of my Texas rescues came from them and they were a perfect fit for my family. Love my fur babies this pic is in my work shop. They all love each other with their differences. Lol

When I got my puppy, she was an absolute mess with feces, and food, a half bald nub of a tail, with little hair. I had to soak her to get it all off, the cut some hair to get the rest. It cost me $ 300 to adopt her, which is fine. I don't like the fact they spay at 8 weeks. It seems to soon

Love this place for getting an animal that's in need of a loving family!!! We got Brew last year and he is great addition to our family. They still had appointments for him when we got him and we followed up to help the puppers out. He's now happy and healthy and loving his jam jams... thank you guys for all you do

This humane society is amazing. A while back when we tried to adopt a pet here, they wouldn't allow us to at the time because one of the animals we had on record wasn't up to date on shots. It just shows that they care and do not want the animals going to people who do not maintain them properly. We have dealt with them over the years. They will assist if they can with spay and neutering discounts. They have plenty of resources to help ease the cost of certain pet needs. The staff is great from our experience. And they're very honest they're not out to just dump pets on anyone who's willing to take them.

Think we got the only cat I liked. There were maybe 10 cats to pick from and only 1 cat had any showmanship and stood up to introduce himself. I'm low-allergic (pet dander in the eyes) so we bought an air purifier and it's only been 2 weeks since we've had the cat and he's adjusted really well. Obviously I'm a hand picked view but if we're talking the facility they are as professional as a pet shelter should be. If you live within the area and look for animals to friend I'd try here because of all the lasting features besides the shelter aspect.

Really fair prices for the work they do. You're in and out quick, too! They take very good care of your pets while they're grooming your little furry friends! Their phone answering and replying isn't half bad during this Covid nonsense, as well. It's nice to know I can get my dog cleaned and his nails clipped by a staff that is prepared and well-equipped! Thanks for all that you do!

My wife and I popped in to visit Patty(their groomer). Our beagle Frankie needed his nails trimmed, so we called ahead for a 'walk in'. Patty was right on it, and Frankie loved the attention...good boy! We even got some chatter from Reba(Patty's hound).Friendly, attentive staff. We'll be back soon. 6 stars out of 5. You folks are GREAT...
