In January I tried to reserve a room for two days in April. I got an email back that the room was not available for one of these days. I did not get a confirmation that they reserved one of the two days.So I found a different accommodation.Guess my surprise when today I was charged for the room. When I called: receptionist was the rudest person I have ever met. Not willing to listen. Bad attitude. I would never ever book a room at this place again.

Never again. We use to come up annually for our 4th of July trip. This past 4th of July was nothing but problems. Dogs running around, one almost attacked my daughter and the other was in our room, and when I got upset, I was the problem? But not the guest with her dogs running free and not under control. Also we book the SAME room every year and for some reason they made a mistake even though I always call when we’re an hour away to make sure our reservation is good and the room number is correct, not sure what happened this past year within an hour, because we got no explanation.

Our stay last night was excellent. First of all one of the few places that let our 11 year old boxer stay with us he is like our son. Very clean , exactly what you would expect from an older motel but everything we needed. Cable TV, microwave , refrigerator. Carl the owner was extremely pleasant and for sure definitely an old soul. I would stay again no question.

Excellent hotel. I came in off season and had a great stay here. The rooms were super cozy, quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful at every encounter. I’ll be staying again.

Nothing fancy which is exactly what I wanted. Super clean, well maintained and very comfortable bed! Loved the outside chairs and table right outside of the rooms, I sat outside just listening to the sounds of silence. Carl and Anna were very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. They have grills and a fire pit for use so bring your food and some wood for a perfect get away.

Was in town for a wedding celebration. We had reserved six rooms for guests to stay in for the weekend. Arrived to the motel the first night to check into the hotel. After checking we went to our room and smelled a gas leak. We reported our concern to the owner and he stated that he didn't smell anything and assured us we'd be okay. He proceeded to enter the room to check things out. While standing in the room with three of our guests he decided the best way to see if there was a gas leak was to light a match with us in the room. I asked if we could exit the room before he lit the match. He let us exit the room before testing the gas leak with the match. Nothing lit up so he assured us we could stay in the room and be fine. I let him know we did not feel comfortable staying in the room unless the fire department came to test for gas. He proceeded by telling us that the fire department was closed....We we're not able to get another room at the motel. The next morning the owner called the fire department to check the gas leak. As we are getting ready for our wedding we were told to evacuate immediately due to a GAS LEAK!! The owner put all his hotel guests in danger by not taking action immediately. The fire department found gas leaking from the heaters.The following night the rest of our guests arrived and checked into their rooms. One of our guests found bed bugs in both beds. They notified the owner and he told them to evacuate immediately! How are bed bugs more dangerous than gas?! The owner then offered to move them to another room. They were moved to the room where the gas leak initiated and that room too had bed bugs. Long story short the motel is not safe to stay at.

We stayed in a room with a king size bed and a sofa. The bed, blankets, and pillows were SO COMFORTABLE! No musty smell, very well kept room. We also had a fridge and a microwave in there. The guy checking us in was super friendly and told us about the town!There is a $10 fee for staying 1 night and upcharge for certain blocks.Will be staying here again! Thank you for your kindness, cleanliness, and hospitality 😌

Booked this kind of last minute on a very busy weekend and did not expect much, but the owner was awesome and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We were so pleasantly surprised on how neat and clean not only the outside of the property was but also inside. It was a little dated, but everything was spotless and in great working order. The beds were very comfortable. It was a nice night, and we really enjoyed the outside access and being able to sit out on the little bistro set provided for each room. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend.

Small and not enough light for three ladies getting ready for an event, however comfy and very clean. Great quiet area. There are grills available to make your own food. Carl is welcoming and quite humorous. Great place for a night or two while traveling.

I went on a cycling trip from Capac to Caseville and took M-25. Harbor Beach was my home base for my 3-day trip and I stayed here for 2 nights. I was surprised to see how clean the inside was and how comfortable it was. It's close to downtown Harbor Beach so there are many places you can walk to for dinner and entertainment.I plan on going on more biking trips around the Harbor Beach area and will definitely be staying here again.

I was looking to go on a weekend fishing trip and stumbled on this place online. The prices for the rooms looked very fair. When I reserved a room I talked to the owner, who was a very nice and helpful guy. He gave me the exact room I wanted. Upon arrival I chatted up the friendly owner a bit. Walking into my room The first thing I noticed was how clean the room was, I’ve never seen a hotel room that clean in my life! (Make sure you throw the housekeeping lady a tip). The cozy room has satellite tv on a good size flat screen, a mini fridge, a microwave, and the most comfy bed you’ll ever find in a motel. I will absolutely come to this place for the night anytime I’m in the thumb!

Every year on the 4th of July I book this place and it is always a wonderful experience. The owner is a thoughtful and wonderful guy and we always request a special room and he gets it for us. The room is nice and cozy and it is really clean and the bed is really comfortable to sleep on. Have not been to the restaurant on property yet but plan on it soon. I will always stay here when I visit Harbor Beach.

My husband and I were headed to a wedding about 5 hours from where we live so we needed a place to lay our heads at the end of the night.Harbor Beach Inn was perfect! It was cheap, it was clean (I especially thought the bathroom was cute!) And the owner was kind.

I was unimpressed, for a few reasons... The room I was in smelled damp and musty. It was outdated including electrical outlets, furnishings and lighting. The ceiling fan drove me nuts with the noise it was making. The room I was in seemed small as well. I just didn't feel the best about staying. There were some good points.. Even though the smell wasn't the greatest it seemed clean overall. It had a mini fridge and a coffee maker. It did have WiFi.. Not the best, but it was WiFi. It also had cable television so you'll have entertainment. It's pretty close to the beach and there's a couple stores close buy. Dollar general is right next door, actually.

This little 12-room Motel does not disappoint! If you are looking for a well-kept clean Motel for a good price that's within a mile from the beach and downtown Harbor Beach....This is the place! This hotel has an amazing nostalgic feel, there is a little playground for the kids, a picnic table and a fire pit. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained (the housekeeper, Dee is fantastic). There is Direct TV, a microwave and a mini refrigerator. All of the rooms had a storm door as well as a steel entry door, this really was a great feature that we appreciated. Kind of gave it that homie feeling! Outside of all the rooms there is a table and chairs making for a really great place to just hang out in the fresh air. The owner, Carl lives on site and is more than accommodating. He is a very interesting man with a lot of great stories, I definitely recommend having a few chats with him! He recommended this great restaurant in town, Al's. The food there is home cooked and absolutely amazing..(biscuts & gravy..omg). They will make sure that if you don't eat dessert there, be prepared to leave with the takeout container! And do yourself a favor, do not turn it down because those cakes are awesome! So, I said all of that to say.... Just book this motel, it doesn't disappoint!

Went to this place for a fishing trip. The owner is very nice and personable. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. I will be going back again in the future.
