I have no clue what any of these people saying decent prices are talking about. This place price gouges so horrendously. Bargain Ben is seriously the talk of the town with how everything owned by the same people is hiked. The employees are paid barely minimum wage and treated awfully as well. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Great somewhat local grocery store. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Their prices are a bit high, but they have a decent selection of most stuff, and it's generally good quality. The store is always clean too. It's great for light shopping. All this still stands, and they now have self checkouts to make life even easier.

Haven't done a study, but would say they have the best selection of wine & liquors in the area, and the prices are fair.Grocery store was clean, well stocked for the Islanders, and a good meat dept, once again reasonably priced. Didn't go to other departments.We are fortunate to have this around, wish I lived closer.

Right inside the door is a meat case with wrapped pork products on display. I needed a pack of pepperoni that was on the bottom shelf. Opened the door to get it and the smell of bad meat smacked me in the face. I put the pepperoni back.Headed to produce to get blueberries. There were perhaps 8 containers on the shelf. Every one of them had moldy berries. I put those back and left the store to shop at Walmart.I'm all about supporting local business when I travel but not for spoiled fresh meat and produce.

Good customer service. They always greet you upon register... I believe it is pretty routine. A few of the employees didn't really know where some of the items I was looking for was located. But they quickly asked for assistance and I was pointed in right direction in a decent amount of time. Overall, good place to shop. Prices aren't as low as Walmart but produce and options are a thousand times better!

Store always has a bad odor. Some of the employees are nice but others are just rude. There prices are outrageously priced. $7.99 for 4 little bottles of food coloring.

More expensive than other grocery stores and still requires an ancient discount card to check out. The process to sign up for one is absurdly long and can't be done online. They recently added self checkout and you can't check out until someone comes over to swipe the card. Pretty poor product selection. Just overall not a great store, go to Econo or Jim's

Way over priced. The staff is fabulous, yet I don’t know why. They do not treat their employees very well. I recommend any high school and college student take a position in this place as a reality check to say “this is definitely a place I don’t want to be long term.” If I was to recommend shopping there, I’d say cherry pick the ad items and run.

Past Foods is a locally owned company with a few stores in other areas as well. They are friendly, knowledgeable about their stores, and the wines section is extensive. They offer craft beers made both locally and from afar, as well as the regular varieties. If they don't have what you're looking for they are more than willing to see if they can order it. The stores are easy to access, always clean, and well stocked. A pleasant shopping experience.

I would think they would want to update this store. Its falling apart. Along with next door family dollar it’s quickly becoming an eyesore. Owners obviously don’t want to spend the money as long as people keep shopping there. Perhaps its time to shop elsewhere if they can’t keep up with the building what does it look like in the back - disgusting?!

I shop there regularly. I was very disappointed to see self serve registers going in. One reason I shop there is the excellent customer service even though priced are higher. Self serve is a disservice to the customer. I am angry and disappointed that a locally owned store would follow in Walmarts footsteps. So very sad.

The way they designed the aisles so that you have to walk in a maze is SO senseless. It's so inconvenient and I've heard this from several people that they will not shop there because of the poor setup of the store and that it's hard to find items because of that. I never go here unless it's for their variety of alcohol as that is the only well organized section of the store.

Not happy with the new checkouts and I can never get chocolate milk with a long expiration date it's always only good for 3 or 4 days but the two percent milk is usually good for a week

Good deals with your perks card, and sometimes the things on sale is way cheaper than Walmart. I was able to get 2 big bags of mozzarella and taco cheese for $4. It can get busy at times, and there could bea 5-10 minute wait, but it's not bad.

Pat's in Hancock is great. It's like stepping into a time machine and heading back to 1987. Beautiful atmosphere. Interesting products from bygone times. The best beer/liquor selection in Houghton/Hancock. Really nice people working there. Just a heck of a time whenever you stop in. Highly recommended!

The Calumet store has a better selection and is better lit. This store met my grocery needs, but feels a little worn. I hope corporate focus is put here. Bonus: They have Dots pretzels!!

Expensive unless you buy sales. They regularly overcharge. My husband had returned numerous times and they don't even apologize, they simply say it was just a "few cents" difference. Twice I've bought "fresh broccoli" only to unwrap it and find its been trimmed down several times, it's so old. Anything dairy is a price shock. We only go here if the Co-op is closed and we don't want to drive over the bridge to Walmart in Houghton for one or two items. I don't like giving poor reviews, but I've worked in the grocery industry and I understand its challenges. This is simply poor management of products, price and services.

Loved it. Great place to buy groceries. Plenty of available parking and if you feel up to it, get a car wash while you wait for your partner to finish shopping.
