The captain was friendly and provided us with lots of great information during the tour. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in the Houghton / Hancock area. I loved a girls' tour so much in September I booked a wonderful sunset tour with my husband in October! Great information. I loved learning about the history and the boat was so quiet. Great value and great time. I highly recommend and will do it again next year. I can't wait to learn more about his new tours!!

This was such a relaxing evening boat tour! Captain was very knowledgeable and friendly, the boat was cute and comfy. My son and I enjoyed our time viewing the beautiful canal! Even pet friendly which is a plus!

It was lovely getting to see the fall colors by water and even though we had some rain and hail during our tour, we were very comfy and got to see a rainbow over the bridge as a bonus.

My daughter and I loved our tour! Captain Dominic is very knowledgeable about the historical landmarks in the copper country and even though we are from the area we learned a lot of interesting facts while watching the sunset during a calm beautiful ride through the canal and under the lift bridge ( which my daughter thought was pretty cool ) :) definitely worth checking out!

Second time taking this tour. We enjoyed it so much last summer that we decided to go again. Dog friendly, as long as your pooch is fairly well behaved. Dominic is very knowledgeable about the area and overall a great friendly guy. Highly recommend for a great historical tour of this beautiful area.

Funny captain, beautiful colors, informative ride. Boat was super quiet and enviornmentally friendly because it's all electric. Bright red super moon peaked out from under the bridge and the captain let us drift and watch it rise. Super stunning!Blankets were provided and soft pillows for comfy seating.

Our group had a wonderful tour with Captain Dominick for a sunset cruise in September 2023. The electric boat is quiet, which was wonderful for being able to hear the historic information provided. The experience is highly recommended. There's even pop for sale on the boat.

Beautiful September day made even better by a quiet Boat Tour giving history of the Houghton/Hancock area. Dominic gave a very pleasant 1 hr tour of the Portage Canal in the electric boat. Highly recommend it for everyone that wants to know a bit more of this interesting area while relaxing on the boat.

Copper Country Boat Tours was wonderful! Captain Dominic was great as he was very knowledgeable, personable and funny! The boat was very cozy and more than comfortable for our family of 6 adults. Very clean and offers amenities such as water and drinks for a modest fee or you can bring your own. Riding in the boat gives a great vantage point of Houghton and Hancock and Captain Dominic provides excellent tidbits and trivia about the surrounding area, both past and present during the hour with him.Highly recommend booking, in fact, if we’re up here again, we’ll book the sunset/twilight tour next time. You won’t regret your time with Copper Country Boat Tours!

Lovely tour - I highly recommend! Very interesting perspective to see the Portage Bridge and canal shoreline from the water. Our Captain gave an informative history of the area. Boat and ride were very comfortable even for a couple in their 80’s.

Wow, I've seen some really nice and realistic reviews on here! Some things I can add is that you can go on this tour rain or shine and in cool weather so if you have a reservation, you don't have to cancel it for inclimate weather. I would advise people to go both during the day and evening tours since they are totally different experiences. Personally, fall would be my favorite time to go with the colorful leaves and early sunset so we will have to go back! He had the best song selection playing in the background to set the mood to make for an even more enjoyable experience.

Very friendly and had interesting and funny info! Personable and a SUPER clean boat. Comfortable seats and quiet so we could hear everything he said. It was raining and we still got to do the tour because he has a wonderful roof and sides to protect us while still being able to see out.
