Great coffee house! We walked up to the counter outside of the cafe and ordered 2 bagels, a regular coffee with cream, and a mocha. The mocha could have been hotter, but the temperature was fine. Bagel was warm and pretty yummy. You put on your own cream cheese with a little stick that's compostable which is very cool, though the portion cup isn't. I'd visit again if I'm back in the area.

Indoor is closed so everything is done through a window - very covid safe! Friendly, fast and delicious! I’m not 100% sure but I think the vegetable cream cheese might be homemade? It was delicious on the sun-dried tomato bagel. My coffee was just an americano but hit the spot! Highly recommend.

I visited when they were still open in 2019. The review may be late, but hopefully still helpful. Is there a Tubie in your family? If so, this review is for you. As much as I like quiche, it's the Walnut burger that I choose time and time again. I'm a health nut. The only place in town that I've visited that can make the kind of food I can eat. I'm a Tubie. All the food I eat must be blended to the consistency of a thin shake. This cafe has a high speed blender to whip that burger into a Walnut stew. I bring my blender bottles in, they fill them up, and I'm good to go.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious. Honestly some of the best brunch food I've ever had. Their bagel sandwiches are the best! Every beverage I've had from here is outstanding. Friendly staff. When the inside is open, it's a great place to have a coffee date with a friend. Their response to the current situation and their standards of health and safety practices are top notch. Great place. Can't say enough about it.

This little spot is so tasty. Highly recommend! We got a breakfast burrito and a breakfast bagel that were both very tasty. Wish we would have seen the add avocado option to make it that much better. The sandwiches all sounded great, but unfortunately didn't get to try due to traveling. The matcha latte they made me was just what I was looking for. This is an all around great breakfast spot!

I’ve ordered from here before, and it was amazing.But today, I ordered a 16oz coffee frapachino with vanilla. It tasted like water, with a slight hint of vanilla syrup flavor.There was no coffee flavor at all.I’m not sure if something changed with how they make their drinks, but I will not be ordering from them again for quite some time.Great service though, very friendly.

The best part of this place is the atmosphere. The chunky construction and the large glass south-facing windows and thick overhang make this my favorite winter sandwich shop. My lunch partner regularly comments that they have the best sandwich in town. The moca coffee and chi are more milky than sweet.

Good coffee, great food! I was taken by surprise at how good their sandwiches are! If they could just nail their green tea lattes that would be even better!Overall it's a perfect breakfast/ lunch spot and the wait isn't as long as it is everywhere else in Houghton/Hancock area.

Unreal experience the staff was more than amazing and welcoming! Gave us a map of the area to use to explore the old copper mines when we return and can hardly wait. The combo smoothie was life changing. Cannot say enough about how top shelf my experience here was. 10/10

Great cozy spot. Tea selection was excellent; had my favorite morning green tea. Window seating for my laptop; got work done. Lunch meal option for vegans was high quality. They even had Kombucha. Not many cafe's can be expected to carry those. Purchased: Large Tea, Lunch salad and Kombucha. Also purchased raw honey. All for around $25. Definitely worth the price.

I was skeptical of the best coffee rating before going there. I got a caramel macchiato and they definitely live up to the rating. Very chill, comfortable, clean atmosphere. It may be hidden away, any yet it sure was worth the stop in! I also got a veggie breakfast burrito, as veggie items are harder to get right sometimes, and I was delighted to find it was the perfect balance of flavors especially when partnered with their salsa. The caramel macchiato overall in flavor profile however, still can't beat Cyberia's.

Terrific local flavor and atmosphere. Not just a Michigan Tech student hangout but a place for everyone. The food menu is not to be missed whether for breakfast or lunch; quality items and some are darn near excellent. I recommend the breakfast burrito (you choose ingredients) and the Quad Espresso.

Great service and environment. Lots of posters up about local events and business cards. Good menu options and the coffee is 1000x better than Starbucks. Tastes like northern European coffee and I could drink it every day. If I lived in Houghton I would definitely become a regular.

Sandwiches are very good here. The loose leaf tea and green tea latte with extra shot were perfect. Easy online ordering and it was promptly ready at the window at the time the website predicted.

#1 coffee shop anytime I go to Houghton. They make the fraps/caps/& lattes with freshly pulled shots. Best breakfast bagel sammies in town! I highly recommend 2 egg, bacon, smoked gouda, & peanut butter on a blueberry bagel. Sauteed onion/gp if you're adventurous. 😉👌they might still be outside order but has a great view of the canal. ❤️

first time going to 5th and Elm and definitely my last. As soon as i walked upto the outdoor ordering window the barista slammed the window shut, that should have been my first sign to just walk away and go elsewhere. I ordered a large caramel macchiato and they delivered in in under a minute, should have been another sign that i was not going to enjoy my coffee.needless to say it was cold, the side of the cup was covered in caramel and the coffee tasted like absolute garbage.

Excellent service, after the past three weeks of chaos this was a very good start to my day. The staff was very friendly, and the food delicious! I had the steelcut oatmeal and the kids had scones, and yes the organic coffee to boot!

Was going rate 2-Stars, but my kinder side won out.They do have a nice patio area, along with a decent selection of food and drinks.A couple of things, however, that I was not at all impressed with:1) Cold-brew was weak in addition to being served with a helluva lot of ice.2) They use paper straws, which--without going into an all-out rant--are effective for only 5-minutes and whose core design intention is negated by the fact that there was no recycle bin to dispose my PLASTIC cup in.

My favorite coffee shop in the entire U.P. Amazing staff, amazing homemade food, and fair-trade coffee. They have indoor and outdoor seating, I spend hours studying here, quiet, cozy atmosphere!
