Such a wonderful selection of vintage clothing and accessories! Joanna is very friendly and helped me find the nicest pair of snake skin boots and a rad Texas belt buckle. She also recommended a bunch of cool tourist spots to check out while I was visiting! Highly recommend checking out if your in the area!

Joanna is so welcoming and helpful. She helped me out to find a near perfect print match on item I was looking for from a movie which seemed impossible but somehow she managed. She was open to possible trade but when I didn't have much of what fit her style she was super kind about it and even educating me on the differences of some garments. Overall great experience!

An awesome store and shopping experience. The owner Joanna is very nice and will pull a bunch of suggestions off the rack for you if you tell her your vibe/vision. She also washes every piece before she brings it in so you don’t have to worry about laundering your new clothes! She has a range of eras and styles. Truly something for everyone!

Joanna, her store, and her rats are all wonderful! She has a beautiful selection of wearable vintage - one of the best I’ve seen. The prices are super reasonable. She is a warm and welcoming person who is so easy to talk to. Highly recommend checking it out!

Mostly modern vintage (70s and 80s things), not everything is in great condition and hard to find things that work for you. The owner is a sweetheart but didn't fall in love with this place as a vintage lover.

I never knew of this place before calling myself the Rat Queen. So imagine my surprise moving to my new home, walking downtown, rounding the corner and seeing this store! What can I say about this incredibly unique and wonderful place. So first of all the owner, Joanne is a riot. She is a woman with spunk and unrelenting style, and you would be able to tell this if you met her on the street, but the walls of her store are an even more evident display of this. Rare vintage trinkets and finds of all kinds and sizes, especially for curvy girls (yes you read that right), and fair prices. Every sunday, she brings in her pet rats hence the name of the store. This is a wonderful opportunity for people to become more acquainted with them as pets, get past phobias, or just cuddle something fluffy. This store is one of a kind truly. I'm so happy to have discovered it.

Has an awesome selection of items. I'm always looking for quirky, hard to find pieces and they've got it. It's also extremely affordable AND a great space for different gender identities and body types. All looks are encouraged however you identify and sizing can definitely fit plus (I'm a 16/18.)

The Rat Queen has embraced the love of rats and learned the ways of these surprisingly loving creatures, escaping the rat race entirely. She's mastered the maze of vintage, finding items that escape all those ordinary collectors. Maybe it's her heightened sense of smell? Maybe she knows how to explore all pathways? Ask her. She sells and chats, chats and sells, blending all questions into her sales pitch. I watched as she chatted up three visitors simultaneously, making brilliant conversations with all three and writing up sales for two.She'll show you the secret messages left in a pocket since 1963. She'll cover the exquisite pockets of a velvet jacket and show off the exotic lining in the blink of an eye. Maybe she can train your retail staff in the ways of rats?Truly a rock and roll sideshow for anyone who loves Detroit for the scene that gave us Alice Cooper and the White Stripes. I declined to ask the Rat Queen if she knew her way around the backstage of the Grande Ballroon, Magic Bag, the Majestic and the State Theater. That would have been an obvious answer. The Rat Queen has found all the cheese around the maze of Detroit Rock and Roll.
