If you haven't been here in a while due to the previous disaster-that-was, you should stop in for the shock factor alone. Excellent Job turning things around! They also seem to have just about everything. Note: Store hours have shifted.Old Review: I have a feeling you're getting to the tipping point of if you don't hire some more people soon, so that you actually have items on the shelves, and a path to get to those shelves, you're going to lose all business and people aren't going to come back when you do hire someone. Every shelf is blocked by things needing to be put on the racks, and many of the racks are completely empty. It's not even possible to push a cart through most of the aisles. This store went from organized and convenient, to a complete disorganized disaster.

There is a new manager and she has informed her employees to leave the loaded carts in the aisles and said the customers can walk around them. That store is so small and I went there today and sure enough, their were full carts in the aisles and had to move them to get around them. They need to shut this store down. The staff is a joke. They are too busy outside smoking. So I think the district manager Mark Hamilton needs to come to the Hamilton store and clean house!!

It doesn't matter how many times you people remodel this store! If you can't hire good hard working employees and management that want to work , have positive attitudes,and don't bring in drama and registers that actually work ! Your place will always be a dump! That's why i refuse to go here! Even the higher up management and owners are lazy and don't want to do their jobs, if they did they would make sure it wasn't a credit card only dollar general ! If I could give this place a -5 star I would!!

Every time I go there the employees can't do there job. Iv seen 3 of the female names in the paper for meth charges. That Ashley dailey. She was arrested for probation stealing drug charges and still is listed on backpage. And is a huge clepto I know for a fact she stole so much from my friends family and why my cusion was on vacation she let some man live in his home make dope deals and rob him blind

Lots of options of stuff to buy, but the place seems pretty dirty and disorganized, and there's only ever one checkout lane open with a long line. The self checkout is very finicky and sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. The staff kinda seem like they don't enjoy their jobs, but they try to be friendly and helpful when they can. Overall, a pretty alright place for some quick essentials shopping 👍

Sadly, it was truck day, and only a couple aisles were passable...annoying, but obviously not their fault. HOWEVER...whoever Amy is needs serious training in how to treat other employees. While there was a line of customers waiting to pay, she was stomping around on her cell phone complaining about another employee. When the cashier asked for assistance for a couple of things, she scolded him and talked down to him in front of all the customers. She was unfriendly to everyone except the lady who she knew that was in line. By the time we were finished with our transaction, we could see her in the break room on her phone while the young man was left to deal with a long line all by himself. We usually don't encounter this nasty behavior when we go in this store. It was incredibly disappointing

Stocked up well. Staff is nice and ask if you were able to find everything.Only thing that can be annoying is their cars full of stuff everywhere when they are stocking. Hard to move around unless you move everything out of the way.But again they are just trying to do their jobs and restock the shelves.

We try to avoid this specific dollar general because it is not at all handled appropriately. There is regularly stock blocking the aisles and workers are told they need to tell customers they can't touch the stock or move it but the ENTIRE store is stock on dolly's. It is not at all accessible to handicapped individuals which is not adhering to state code for a place of business. The store is always insanely crowded and causes high stress and anxiety for shoppers which causes them to spend extra money to go literally anywhere else. I've mentioned something to people several times and am always told they HAVE to keep the store like that for x reason. Given the place is a hazard, it should be dealt with or closed down. I have seen people trip on the stock in the aisles, I have seen the stock almost knocked over which could lead to severe injury, and I, as a disabled individual, do not have access to most of the store and would not be able to get items I needed as there is only 1 worker who is a newer hire who actually cares and he is usually unbelievably busy just doing his best trying to handle this store. I feel so bad for him. This situation really needs to be fixed.

Only dollar store in the Hamilton area, so they get my business due to convenience more than anything else. The employees are often no where to be found, and the store needs a deep cleaning and way better organization. I'm always able to find what I'm looking for, for the most part and I love checking out their sale items and dollar deals as they are always killer! It's your average Dollar General, so if you like shopping there then I'd recommend checking it out for yourself.

This is absolutely the WORST Dollar General store that I have ever been in. It is dirty, the staff isn't friendly and the aisles are always blocked with full bins and boxes of stock that seems to never get put away. A very unpleasant experience.

I tend to shop here 2 or 3 times a week. Convenient and right on my way home from work. Usually cluttered, but always seems to have people on the floor stocking shelves. Some cashiers are friendlier then others.

Time to change stock. Oh my goodness so much stuff is 50 percent off. Cashiers were very busy, but so nice. Come get some deals. I couldn't stop going thru the bins.

Worst dollar general I've ever been too. The level of incompetence is through the roof. Better off paying twice as much for everything next door at the grocery store. Will not be back!

Husband and I stopped to get some things, everything we wanted was there at good prices, went to the cash register to check out, no one there, waited about 5 minutes before a gal came. No greeting, she didnt acknowledge me just began to ring up our items and then before we paid she walked away with no explanation. When she came back, still no explanation, so I said, "gosh I thought you left". She responded that she rang up too many of one item, a manager then showed her what to do. Obviously a new employee, what I would tell her is to speak to customers, use eye contact and be kind and helpful. It's about Customer service. Soft skills are critical!!

Great place to run in quickly and grab a couple items. They should stock shelves in the overnight though since you constantly are dodging carts/crates/boxes in every aisle.

The staff is friendly, and the hours are convenient, but the real sell point here is that the grocery store next door charges double for the same non-perishable items. If you're looking for a bargain, head to Dollar General first.

We use this dollar general for everything except main groceries, though we do pick up snacks there! They always seem to have what we are looking for! They're cheap and we don't have to drive all the way to plainwell or Holland to big retailers like Meijer or Walmart!

Would be nice if you could get to things on racks. Everytime i go there you can barely get down the aisle. The drive threw was nice but the quickly shut that down.

it is absolutely unacceptable and pathetic that there are shipments still in boxes from 3-31-22 if you ask for anything they say it’s probably in a box somewhere and I get it when you only have two people to work in the store it’s really difficult they only pay I believe like $10 an hour and you’re only allowed to work a certain amount of hours but they won’t hire anyone else and be honest that needs to change there needs to be at least a minimum of maybe six people working in there and if you have to add on a third shift to make it all happen
