The pharmacist Vera that works there has a big attitude. I usually pay 30 something every 90 days for a simple acne med. This time I go to pick it up. It's 120 bucks. I ask why. She spouts off condescendingly to me how she liked paying 2 something a gallon for gas but that's life. I told her I don't need remarks about inflation. I've been paying this price for 2 or 3 years here. Now it's 120 bucks. Big attitude problem. I think I will call my doctor and get my meds sent elsewhere. Another thing about prices fluctuating. Yeah I get that. I drive semis for a living over the road. I know all about gas price but 30 to 120 is not inflation. It's pure robbery. She wouldn't even be nice and try to help me. Just said that's the price. Whoever owns this needs to find a better pharmacist she's going to drive people away because I won't be back.

So friendly and efficient. They call everyone by their first names and you're only a stranger once. Pharmacist is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The pharmacy technicians are very cordial. Plus they have many gift items and cards for every occasion. Definitely the genuine "Hometown" feeling at this business.

The Home Town Pharmacy Team is always friendly and courteous. They go out of their way to answer questions and help as needed. Its nice to be greeted by name and a pleasure to do business with them. I have never had an unpleasant visit.This review was written over a year ago. Since then, the pharmacy has gotten rid of everyone that I praised back then. They have since hired a group of incompetent and disrespectful personnel. Prescriptions get filled incorrectly or not at all. My wife had to go without medicine for 4 days because of a technically on a script the doctor had written, even though we have had it filled there for years.I will be moving all my families prescriptions to Rite Aid in Tawas City. I have never had issues with them. They call me when prescriptions are ready. Be careful if you decide to continue with Hometown in Hale.

Always very helpful and curtious.If you have any questions they are more then helpful. I like the store front layout.The cashiers are always considerate and pleasantly nice when greeting each customer. The pharmacists are helpful when a customer has a question. Very professional.

Vera needs to be fired. I have never had a more rude or difficult experience picking up basic prescriptions in my life.

Every employee that I've encountered at Hale Drug is kind and courteous. I am usually there for the Pharmacy and they are extremely helpful. I had an ussue with my insurance company getting enough medication to last while I would be vacationing out of the country and they were extremely helpful getting it ready for me AND I was leaving that same day! Don't overlook the other things Hale Drugs have. It's a great place to purchase gifts! I take all my guests there just to take a look at what they have.

This is by far the best pharmacy I have used. Quick, efficient, knowledgeable, convenient, and they have never steered me wrong. When they say they will be ready is when it will be, not like Walmart when they tell you noon and it's not ready until the next day by 4.. Keep up the good work guys, thank you for your efforts we appreciate you!

Going shopping now days is scarey so when you go into a place that's looks and even smells clean it's great. I had a script filled in 5 minutes (from masked pharmacist!) And was rung up quickly and politely. I think there was even a smile under there. Great experience.

Our family has been doing business with Hometown (Hale) Pharmacy for almost ten years. We moved from a larger city and were unsure what services would be available at a local pharmacy, in a small town. But a GREAT group of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and drugstore personnel welcomed us without hesitation and we are very happy with their attention to detail while handling our medications, refills, dialogue with our physicians and overall care given to customers. There is definitely a "home" feel to the environment, with beautiful gifts, cards, holiday decorations, candles, children's toys and jewelry on display throughout the store, along with magazines, books, and puzzles. You can always find the perfect gift that WON'T break the bank at Hometown.Thanks for the opportunity to review our pharmacy!

Just recently re-located to Hale and fortunately Hometown pharmacy accepted my insurance so I deal with them a couple of times a month always very helpful and very mindful of the times we are living in the only reason I don't give them 5 stars is not being open on Sunday. But every experience I have with them has been great even my flu shot

Very efficient... nice selection in the story with unusual collectibles a little pricey but usually wait time thru on sale done things are way over priced but very large selection of unusual items for yard and home. Very efficient when filling prescriptions quick and efficient very pleasant staff

My husband's doctor is from out of town so they didn't get his prescription called in before the drug store closed. They called me the next morning as soon as it was called in. The employees at the pharmacy were very helpful and understanding. I would go there again.

Love to just walk the sales floor as there is so many different item to choose from for that unique gift for someone special. And if you have a question that only the pharmacist or any of the staff can answer they will and if they can't they will find out the answer promptly.
