Lots of good stuff here but still didn't find the two things I needed: Angled 12 volt sockets and plugs - since generators now use them. Also didn't find a paint brush and roller cleaner that spins them.

At the Service desk older guy was very rude when I asked for a part and mentioned I need help because I'm not sure what part I need he said GOOGLE IT AND looked away . What the heck do you get paid for then. Very unpleasant experience definitely lost a customer.

I have been there several times. They have made keys for me (that didn't all work). They have made paint to match a color chip with their fancy computer (that wasn't the right color and was a waste of time and money). They are friendly enough but make a lot of mistakes.

Very Poor service! My Husband went in there to pay for a service being repaired. Went to the back counter and heard 2 employees cursing and bashing on us over a warranty part that was being serviced. Would also like to point that one employee would say something then you go the next day and the other employees have no idea what your talking about. Very bad service! Poor communication! Will never go back in there again!

I honestly just don't feel comfortable in this place, first time I went there one of the workers were following us around so much that I had to actually say something to him and he still followed us around hounding us like we were some type of suspects and the next time I went was a couple of days ago. I rented a chainsaw and when I got it home it made about 3 cuts before it just stopped working so the actually came and brought another one out but that ones chain was dull it popped off and we couldn't finish the job...when I brought it in the workers reaction was to tell me I shouldn't be cutting grass with it because there was one blade of grass that was there when we put it on the ground, don't know why he made that remark but it was ignorant at best and all they did was give me back my deposit money, like another review said "BUYER BEWARE, ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THERES NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY"

Want to give big props to the True Value employees and especially the owner. I called 10 min before close to find out if they had something I needed. Talked with the owner and was able to come up with a plan for me to pay and get my merchandise. As another business owner it is great to see great customer service! Thank you for the Hydraulic Cement, was needed and could not have waited for it.Thank you and will see ya again the future!

I went in there for a couple screws and some Fasteners. I was helped out right away. The gentleman spoke to me about the job that needed to be done and recommended several different options of screws and fasteners that would do the job and then recommended to me what he felt would do it the best. Upon going to check out, the cash register kept messing up causing me to be in the store for literally an hour. The 2 women at the registers continually apologized and explained what was going on to the best of their knowledge the entire time. Both the women continually were apologetic and truly sympathetic to me having to wait while their computers systems re-booting and they where trying to figure out what was going on. I laughed and Joked with them about how some people are too caught up in themselves to understand that computers mess up and they have no control over it. But these ladies went above and beyond to show their sympathy for my dismay even though I completely understood. They also kept thanking me for my positive attitude and for not getting upset and yelling like some people do. I would recommend this store to anyone.

I was told over the phone that they would sharpen blades for me today I took them over there to get blades sharpened and then they change it and say it's be like a couple of days not to happy with them

So wanted to write a good review but . . . Decided to go there as a change of pace. I typically always go to Ace down the street. When I walked in not a single employee was wearing a mask as required. I definately felt uncomfortable. Yes I am a senior and considered at risk. Back to Ace from now on.

Best hardware store in Greenville! It's nice to go to a hardware store that cares about the needs of their customer. The staff was very helpful in finding the materials I needed to finish a home project. You guys are awesome and you gained a new customer!

While painting the living room of our new condo. We went to the Greenville True value to purchase mixed paint because they sold Dutch Boy products. After giving the lady who mixed the paint for us the color combinations off the can of Dutch boy that we had just used, she mixed the paint and we went on our way. After getting home we opened the paint and the color was completely different from what we had originally used. We were painting the room a light gray and the paint from True Value was a tan. I immediately took the paint back to return it only to find out that True Value doesn't do returns on mixed paint, which I completely under stand. What I don't understand is how unwilling they were to figure out a solution to the problem. My fault for not checking the paint before we walked out of the building, but their fault for not being able to follow directions from the paint color combinations that I had given them from the old can. So now I am stuck with a $35 gallon of paint that we can't use. Very disappointed in the willingness and empowerment of their employees to figure out a solution to a problem that was True Values fault. lesson learned, check your paint before you leave the store.

What a great little store! They have everything from grilling tools, outdoor equipment, faucets, paint, cleaner and more. The gentleman that helped me pick out working gloves was very insightful.

Don't take any of your equipment there to be worked on they are not straight up individuals they will sabotage your equipment they will say one thing to you today and not do it not done on a timely manner and happened to replace extra parts on my chainsaw due to their negligence

Hardware stores can be a bit hard to find things in. Thankfully the staff immediately greeted me and asked if i wanted help finding anything. I handed them my list and they went through store and grabbed everything for me. Very helpful.

I know nothing about Home Improvement. But every time I go in there, they are so patient and help me figure out exactly which pieces I need. I show them photos from my phone of what's under my sink and they tell me how to replace the right pieces.

Buyer Beware!! No customer loyalty once they have your money. I rented a stump grinder, turned out to be a stump pounder. So know that if you rent a piece of equipment and it doesn't function as advertised, you will not get a refund.
