Had a great experience with the store! They were willing to help me get a package shipped out that was VERY Important for medical reasons! They even offered free foam peanuts for packaging plus wouldn’t take any money for the use of their tape! Awesome staff! I was looking at the drain snakes...for what I thought was an impossible task of fixing my toilet...(I know, gross!) One of the gentlemen that worked at the store came up to me and asked if he could help. I told him what I was trying to fix. He asked me if my other drains were plugged, I was getting a good water "swirl" when I flushed, (it wasn't swirling!) etc. Told me to try a couple of other tricks to see if it was the inside of the tank parts that needed fixing, a genuine plugged toilet or a wax seal that was bad. I fixed it! Only needed a new part for the water going into the tank! Saved me a call to a plumber and my son was REALLY happy!

Always well-staffed with friendly people , eager to help. I appreciate being greeted every time I shop there, and the employees seem so knowledgeable! For anyone complaining about their mask policy, they offer curbside service at no extra charge. They have every right to keep their employees and patrons safe and they do it with professionalism. Kudos!

The staff here is incredible. I couldn't have had a better experience. Plenty of staff to assist, no pushy sales or uncomfortable vibes. Great selection, very informative sales people. This is a one stop shop for typical ace hardware items and also tons of garden and wildlife supplies. Prices are WOW reasonable. I did not expect to pay so little for many of the items that I needed. "Chris" assisted me to my car and was very polite and helpful in loading my goodies.

Mc Leans Ace Hardware is a very comprehensive hardware store in Grayling, Michigan, that far exceeds the typical Ace Hardware chain store. The services and inventory of this hardware store sets it head and shoulders above the typical Ace chain store. You will find items at the store needed to support hardware needs of rural living. Need a hard to find tool or plumbing part- Mc Leans has it.

Very nice most helpful people I've ever met, prices are a little high but it sure does beat driving 25 miles to the Home Depot. Don't trip over $5 to pick up $2, that is to say even though they may charge a little bit more, convenience is a far better value...

If they don't have it, they will help you find it else where. The moment you walk in, you receive a warm, genuine greeting. Everyone is extremely helpful, there is never a " I don't know", instead, you hear,"I'll make sure to find someone to help you." Now, in a very small town, that in and of itself is why I drive out of my way to go to that store. A truly wondful experience.

Absolutely terrible experience. Berated by the owner and disrespected for being medically unable to wear a mask. Even after explaining myself, and attempting to merely get an idea as to their inventory before I went back outside, I had been verbally degraded and forced to leave for my medical condition. Will never, ever return here again and will warn every person I meet about this hardware store. Dealt with the owner directly, a complete and utter horrible person.

One star because they close waaaay too early on sundays. Why? Employees? Youre already working during church! Because they are open until 3pm on sunday. Not like it's simply closed on sundays. I feel that most people who have the weekends off are the customers who fix their stuff on sat and sunday. THIS IS A POOR BUSINESS DECISION. IGNORANT OWNERS

I have 3 hardware stores all equal distance to my home and always try to support local business. The East Higgins Lake hardware store and the Roscommon Do-it hardware stores have decided to put sarcastic signs on their front doors about our governor. The people behind the counters of both places have decided to ignore the mask mandate. At a time when businesses are struggling, you would think an owner would do all he could to make people feel safe and to represent yourself as a business that follows rules. The problem with injecting politics into your business is that you risk alienating 50% of your customers. So, I left. I don't need to shop at either of these places again.On the bright side, Mc Lean's Ace Hardware employees were all wearing masks. There were shields at the register and no snarky comments about our governor. I just found my new favorite hardware store.

Went in there to get some hardware. Wrote the part number on the bag for four small nuts. Stood in line for about 10 minutes and was told that I had to go back and get the price. There's still a long line waiting to check out. The cashier wouldn't input the part number to pull up the price. Just kept telling me that I had to go back and get the price. Needless to say I handed her the material and walked out. This the first Ace Hardware I've ever had an issue with. I won't be back to this one.

I used to like this store, but now that they decided to jump on the band wagon of stomping all over our constitution by requiring a mask I will take my business elsewhere. I can't wear a mask due to breathing problems. Again I went into this hardware store, this time holding a mask in front of my face, not wearing because I can't breathe with it on, and that wasn't good enough they still kicked me out and called the police. Very discriminative and not customer friendly. You better go by there rules!! Tractor supply and Dubois is your best bet in grayling if you want to be treated good!!!

Friendly service, always greets you at the door and staff in store always asks if they can help you. Selection of stock is perfectly adequate given the size and location and I'm often surprised by what they do carry. Before driving out of Grayling, give them a ring, you might be surprised and save yourself the trip

Moving things around and adding new items to accommodate the loss of a big box stores down the street, at the request of customers! That's pretty awesome!!! And they carry my brand of dog food 😉

These guys are just great to work with. I Had a couple of chainsaws I needed help with these guys really took the time to help me out. I would definitely have my chainsaw lawn mowers , weed wackers fixed here

Why is it that the cashier's never say thank you? Good selection, decent prices for a home town hardware but it would be nice if someone said thank you. And it's hit or miss if someone asks if you need help.

Friendly service. I buy my dog and cat food from here. They also have a program called the astro program where you get your 10th bag of dog or cat food free. Great place.

Medically unable to wear a mask and was asked to leave. My child under age of 2 also forced to wear a mask or leave.... after all theses years won't be shopping here again. The owners can expect legal action for the discrimination of me and my extreme minor child.
