We visited here many times to come play with the sweet babies! Staff and Sheila are great at making you feel welcome! Very caring and informational on all their pups! I love that the well-being of the pups are put first before they are placed in their new homes. ❤️ Love our Penny pie!💕

First off- thank you so much for helping us find Sherlock! I've told everyone about PDN.Second off- (First Night Home) Sherlock already went on the pads without prompting and knew to go into his crate at bedtime. He cried 3x overnight and all three were potty breaks! We carried him out to where the pads are, and he IMMEDIATELY went on the pads. Gave him a treat and praise and put him back to bed.Whatever program you use to start their training early is phenomenal! He's so smart, but I can tell he's already learned a lot! Thank you so so so much!

We just got a pup from here. We went in just to play with the puppys and fell in love with one, so the next day we came a got her yes it's on the pricey side but worth it with them having the pups family tree and microchip and medical history. The great thing is the pup adjusted amazingly she went potty out side she did so good with my other two dogs (1yr and 11yr) and the cats. She slept all night in bed with us. Am just so happy.

Free puppy time? Say less. Puppy Dog Nursery specializes in pups 30lbs and under, ensuring all pups are vaccinated, neutered, litter box trained and ready to socialize and play with any family. The space is both clean and spacious for the animals, and the pups are fairly priced for each of these favored breeds. Staff are all very passionate and committed. This is definitely THE puppy place in Grandville!

The workers were nice. Puppies were insanely priced at around 2k per dog which does not include getting them spayed or neutered, you have to go find a vet and do that on your own.All the puppies were itching themselves so it seems like flea medicine was also not included in the price.Owner replied to my review stating false info, i do not have a wife and didn't spend hours looking for a hypoallergenic dog.

Love this place! Puppies are well taken care of and they have so many steps in place to keep the puppies health and safety a priority! Love that everything they do is for the puppies! I will for sure be coming back in to play with the pups ❤️

This is where we got our lovely puppy. The owner and her assistant are very nice, and my pet clearly remembers them fondly, because she gave them lots of puppy kisses!

We purchased our puppy two weeks ago and we have been so happy with the whole process. Shiela was great! She gave us so many great tips to help our puppy transition into our home. She is also extremely knowledgeable about all of the puppies and she has been available to answer any questions we may still have.

The owner is so very passionate about getting the right puppy for the right family. And you can tell she genuinely cares for those babies! If you need a specific breed and aren't sure about trusting a random breeder you find online, you can trust then to fo the vetting for you. Our little Lucy was the perfect addition to our family and she's perfect!

Highly impressed. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the store smelt compared to other puppy stores I've been to in the past. I thought it was really smart how they have a 'puppy play yard' where you can see the puppies run around/ play with each other and get good exercise. Thought it was pretty neat how they are starting the potty training process in store too. You can tell some serious thought went in to the design of this puppy store.

Came in today to play with the puppies with a friend. We were not greeted and waited for 30 minutes to see a puppy. The puppy we did see had poop on its face and we also witnessed another puppy eat its own poop. We were talked to condescendingly and were not given the opportunity to see more puppies after the one peed in the play area by us. Both of us were considering purchasing dogs today and now will definitely not be giving this place our business now if this is how you treat people who come to spend thousands on a dog!

The other reviews are NOT lying when they say that the smell is extremely horrible. It’s the first thing that greets you when you walk in 😂The puppies were cute though, but I didn’t really appreciate one of the worker’s attitude and tone. I think she might have either been the manager or someone in a higher position, idk. The way that she spoke with me was condescending. She almost seemed offended and upset when I told her that I was not ready to buy a puppy as if though I HAD to leave with one that very same day lol.. When I told her that I was not ready to buy a puppy, especially after learning that the cost was nearly 3 grand, she questioned me with an attitude saying “why not? And your how old?” Like girl.. lmboo I don’t understand what my age had to do with anything but whatever. Only giving two stars because the puppies are cute and one of the OTHER employees was really nice.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. First there is a very bad mess when you walk in makes you want to walk right back out. My daughter was only allowed to play with one puppy for only 5 minutes and she wanted to play with another puppy and was told no.one puppy play per visit becuz of germs. The staff was very rude and acted like they did not want to sell a puppy. If any germs was being spread it would be by the staff kissing on the puppies before they hand the people the puppy to play with.

Recently brought home wonderful new fur family member from here. Before making a decision, we visited multiple times and talked in length with the staff and owner Sheila about her passion for dogs and the lengths she goes to ensure they go to a great home and are well taken care of even before that. Sheila is kind and very knowledgeable about her business and has a true love of animals. We had a great experience and would recommend her business if you are looking for a new fur friend in the area!

My husband and I are now newfound dog owners. We adopted Phineus today, and our experience was amazing. Sheila helped us through all of the paperwork and was very informative through the whole process! Thank you for opening this new door into a new path and journey for us as pet parents!

just another poorly managed puppy boutique trying to pass off puppy mill dogs to the public as designer dogs by sourcing that they’re from “reputable breeders” I’m sure if we traced back to where these dogs are being “bred” from it would most likely be a backroad Amish farm that doesn’t follow any rules or regulations and only cares about making a profit off an animal that’s most likely kept in poor living conditions. If you want to adopt a dog you should go to humane societies that desperately are trying to empty their shelters overwhelmed by dog displacement. Check your morals and do better.

Not impressed. No one should be looking for a dog at these kinds of places. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with an extremely intense smell that lingers even after you walk out the door. 2 dogs per (about) 3x3 enclosures are kept about 3 feet from the ground. Each dog looked depressed and did not have any interest in coming up to the window to see you. Please go through a reputable breeder or adopt. This was just unethical.

“I brought home a puppy from the nursery last week. It was a great experience and a very clean store. Sara helped me pick out the perfect fit, a furry little havapoo who is now named Fin. I would recommend anyone looking for a puppy to come into the nursery. Besides being given a clean bill of health, Fin hasn’t had a single accident yet due to their potty training system!! We just sprinkled the pine pellets in the yard and Fin goes straight there every time. Thank you Puppy Fog Nursery, for helping me find such an amazing little puppy at a great price too!!”

I have not once heard of a reputable breeder selling to a puppy store. They have their reputation to up hold, they always want to stay in touch with the buyers, in case there is a problem down the road. But, my big concern is the shelters and rescues overflowing with unwanted dogs and puppies. Kent County had 140 dogs in a shelter with a capacity of 80. These are great animals and some are purebred. Sheila, why would you want to encourage breeding, instead of adopting? You could take 20 puppies and dogs out, give them a safe place and find them forever homes. People would even volunteer to help you for free. Sadly, I know it's about money. Think about doing the right thing. What would Jesus do?

Please don’t believe that this place is working with ethical breeders. A reputable breeder is not selling their dogs to a pet store. They want to know where the dog is going, and will fully screen their buyers to make sure the dog is going to a wonderful home. They are not selling them to a third party. and a majority of national breed clubs codes of ethics prohibit or discourage their members from selling their dogs to pet stores. There is a reason why the UK does not allow dogs or cats to be sold in pets stores. Several states have banned selling dogs and cats in pet stores too ( California, Maryland and New York.)If you are looking for a certain dog, please check rescues and shelters first. If not, please go to an ethical breeder yourself.

I have visited the store and spoke with the owner about her “mission”. She claims that she doesn’t source her puppies from “puppy mills” but rather “commercial breeders” that meet her rigorous standards which include going thru the canine care certification process. The actual guidelines of this program are difficult to obtain without registering (and paying) but one example she gave me is that “at least 51% of the stock (adults and puppies) must be willing to approach humans”. Wow, thats setting the bar high isn’t it? I will still give her the benefit of the doubt that the breeders she has selected don’t commit the egregious animal abuse that the majority of puppy mills are known for. However If she was willing to share the names of these breeders/kennels some quick research would determine if they’ve had any USDA violations at least.Regardless, her breeders are still mass producing puppies in a market that is already saturated with puppies and dogs needing homes. They are being put to sleep in shelters daily and no true animal lover should be ok with that. Unfortunately the owner declined the opportunity for a behind the scenes tour of a local shelter to see first hand. She would rather blame the “1 million dogs being imported into the US per year” for the overpopulation crisis. But wait, the Puppy Dog Nursery now offers rescue dogs and puppies so they are helping with the overpopulation problem after all! Wrong, it is disingenuous to call what they are doing “rescue”. While visiting their wonderful breeders and purchasing puppies if they come across ones with medical conditions they will put them in their rescue program and place them “without warranties”. YOU CANT CALL IT RESCUE WHEN YOU ARE THE REASON THEY WERE PRODUCED AND NEED RESCUING IN THE FIRST PLACE! This is more like the “scratch and dent” section of the appliance store. The same applies to the occasional mom they will help place. They want you to feel good about adopting/buying them because at least they wont be taken out back and shot/clubbed/drowned like what usually happens at puppy mills. Legitimate rescues have been saving these moms and reject puppies from that fate for years without the luxury of making thousands off of the “healthy” puppies.Speaking of legitimate rescues, I have no doubt that some potential customers will seek out puppy stores like this because of a bad experience trying to adopt from a shelter or rescue in the past. If you were given what you feel was a ridiculous reason for denial (distance, no fence, age, assumptions about children or other pets, no vet history etc) try another before giving up all together. They are not all run the same and some are much more liberal with their approval process than others. And just like there are some bad breeders there are some bad rescues. Now if you were denied because of housing restrictions or bad references you will likely also be denied by the Puppy Dog Nursery since “you cant expect to get one of their puppies just by showing up with money”.So in summary, no I don’t recommend buying a puppy from here or “adopting” one either. Go thru a shelter or rescue or visit a reputable breeder, one that would never sell puppies thru a store.

I bought a puppy from Puppy Dog Nursery and the puppy is an amazing dog. I have purchased 2 puppies from Sheila. The staff there is wonderful. The owner loves and cares for not only the puppies but the owners. If you haven't been there and checked it out for yourself, maybe you should!

If you buy a dog from here you are a part of a very big problem that not enough people are talking about."ethical" and "breeding"LITERALLY cannot be in the same sentence when there are shelters in a 50 mile radius overfilling with dogs AND PUPPIES desperately needing homes and love. I don't care how nice the owner is or how "eThIcAl" the breeder is. It's all about money. Just admit it. It's sad and makes me literally sick to see how hard you're trying to delete the truthful comments and reviews. Asking family and friends to make reviews to filter us out. We're fighting for those who don't have voices. Why don't you too? Start by not going here and instead educate yourself and your loved ones. Don't go here.

The best place to find the healthiest and happiest puppies! Only the most ethical breeders are chosen to source the puppies here. Each breeder is personally visited by the owner and they make sure not only the puppies, but the parents as well, are the number one priorities! You could not find a better place to find the puppy of your dreams!

Let's focus on some buzzwords mentioned directly from their website:-self-monitoring-exceptions made for individual breeders-sliding scale for costMy personal favorite is how many times the word "should" is used. She's very intentional to use "must" only a few times, and "should" a lot of others. Parents "should" be tested for genetic issues. There "should" be a play yard. Dogs "should" have regular dentals. Should is not guarantee. Should is not must. Should means best of intentions, but zero monitoring.Unless she's physically visiting every breeder she sources from and ensuring adult dogs are treated the way they "should" be ONGOING, then yeah.. let's be smarter than this. This is 100% an unethically sourced store. There are better ways to find a dog. (And also to spend that cash!)

The puppy dog nursery is the best! All the puppies there are treated with love and compassion and anyone having a bad day or who just wants to play with puppies can come and hug and play with them every day if they want!! .. it is welcomed! I have gotten my dogs (currently own and adopted an obese beautiful sweet American Staffy) from animal shelters.. I know they need homes too… but this place is also great.. and not a puppy mill shop.. people breed their pure breeds all the time and sell them for a lot of money. These puppies are happy and cared for and clean and loved! They have all the puppies mom and dad information and their genetic testing.. they are an ethical company and the parent dogs retire by age 5 or 6 years.. regardless these puppies are happy and healthy and most of all loved 24/7 by staff and whoever stops in to play! I just got my puppy from there.. and I couldn’t be happier! He’s so sweet and already had so much training at the puppy dog nursery, he is only going potty outside! Anyway I highly recommend them!! My Kent county animal shelter adopted American staffy and new puppy from the puppy dog nursery couldn’t be happier together! Thank you 😊 puppy dog nursery!
