Terrible experience as a first time buyer of a firearm. I went here thinking I would receive quality help and I was wrong. Only 4 questions I was asked was if I had something in mind (showed picture) if the firearm was for me (yes) and my ID and if I wanted a 9mm (yes) was allowed to go through the whole process was never asked another question was sent to register and manager yelled that i was not allowed to purchase because they didn't believe this purchase was for myself. I don't know about guns I went with something that was recommended to me as a good first purchase and I showed a coupon from my phone. Accused me of buyng this for someone else because i saved a photo so i wouldn't have to wait for the browser to download trying to make things easier for everyone. I was accused of not knowing what I needed which was true because this was my first purchase which they would have known if they would have asked. what is protocol? As a first time buyer I didn't know what to expect. The process seemed a little to easy till the accusations came.

This experience was a very good one. The young man who helped me was super patient and helped me try on about 8 different pairs of soccer cleats. Normally I am not super picky but this visit none of the sizes seemed to be right and they differed from brand to brand. He was always willing to help and very friendly. Very pleasant experience.

Dunham's is a nice store. There is lots of hard to find ammunition typically usually here. When looking for such, I skip ALL competitors and go directly to Dunham's first.The products they carry are mostly name brands, but not a lot of high-quality fishing gear when I went today, this could be because of black friday sales and not having an opportunity to replenish yet.I'd have to say not very wheelchair accessible. The isles are very close together. Clutter all around.Overall, this is a great store, good location, plenty of parking.

Bought a veryexpensive trail cam here and it only worked just under 6months, kept the box and materials and receipt but manager refused to do anything, wouldn't even exchange it knowing they could send it back as defective! Won't be shopping here anymore, very disappointing!!!

They have a great selection of guns and ammo. Just bought two guns this week. And a bunch of ammo. Great help at the gun desk and awesome prices!

Overcharging for underbuilt equipment. Never buy a gun from here! Matter of fact, don't buy anything from here! Go to literally any other sporting goods store (like the one up the road!)

My experience was horrible. I was made to feel unwelcome. Nasty attitude and was an unkind worker accusing me of stealing. I will take all my business to other stores and also tell all my friends and co-workers about this unkind experience. The nasty employee told the supervisor about me getting some gum and I told the employee that I was going to pay later with my other stuff that I was going to buy. The supervisor followed me in the store and asked me for the gum I gave it to him so he didn't think I was stealing. Dunham's sports treat you like you are stealing something. Everyone doesn't steal. Dunham's sports are very judgemental. I would rate it a zero if it was possible. Still unkind and unhelpful workers. The employees should be kind and loving not rude and hateful. May God help the souls of all the unkind people there.

Dunham customer service people are so friendly and helpful. We went in shortly before closing for a couple last minute vaction needs. We had a good idea of what we wanted, and they made sure that we got the right stuff we were looking for before they closed the store. Love the sales and the store is always clean and easy to navigate through.

Went here for a couple of things. Found one of them. The store is kind of a mess, but not to the point that I felt I needed to leave right after walking in. Probably the most frustrating thing was finding an employee to let me into a fitting room. There didn't seem to be anyone on the floor, so I ended up having to go to the cashier.

Spent over $600.00 and left due to the 4 staff members in shoes that were in the back talking and looking at a phone. You lost an additional $300+ in shoes. Very sad.

Wasn't to happy at the checkout. I bought ammo and had a Dunham’s coupon for 17% off regular price Dunham’s ammo sale.AT the checkout th girl said this doesn't Apply. Regular priced ammo with their 17% off ammo didn't Apply!!!She had no explanation as to WHY!!!!

Not good when I entered the store there was no one to be found . they advertised on their website they had a kayak when I went into the store they did not have what I wanted. I needed a life preserver they did not have anyting that was good for me a small woman. I had to ask the sales person to contact other stores to check on availability, he didn't offer. The best customer service I had was the Ludington store which I personally called to check on availability of the kayak. The woman on the phone was very helpful and informative. They did not have what I wanted even though their site said it was available. Very disappointed in my visit at Dunham's.

way too many items without prices and the kiosk to check is gone. I do not appreciate having to go ask an associate or wait until checking out to find out how much an item is. The website does not list all the items they carry, so even that is no help. I gave them a 3 star because they do have a good selection of just about everything and even some otherwise hard to find items.

They messed up our hunting licenses and made it where it said we already had them, when we didn't. They were rude when they were the ones who messed it up. They couldn't fix it so we had to leave without the licenses and go to another store for them to fix it. We will go elsewhere from now on. We are understanding with mistakes but when you blame the customer and are rude, that's not acceptable. We have spent thousands of dollars here this year but we will take our business elsewhere from now on.

This place has 3 employees in the entire store on a Saturday afternoon and they are all at the checkout. So we are walking all over the store trying to find help. There isn’t even someone in the shoe section. How do you expect to sell any shoes… or anything else for that matter.

Mike was an excellent help purchasing a gun. It took less than 20 minutes even with the background check. (I didnt have to take a ticket and stand around for 2 hours like Cabelas) He was able to price match the competition. The store has excellent inventory and selection. I will be back!

Every single person was Super friendly and accommodating during opening, but no one seemed to know about any particular item availability in the store. Or know any more about the product than I already knew myself, But I'd expect it to get better after they've been open for awhile... On another note: The Free Tim Hortons was 😋!!

Absolutely horrible, if you're trying to purchase a firearm. The staff that was working the gun counter not only was clueless, but also lied about features that I was curious about, which were disproved on further expection of the gun. When I asked to see a magazine for a AR styled shotgun he asked if I wanted it loaded, which shows that they were trying to find a reason to kick me out of the store. The worse part was that I believe the person helping me was the manager himself.

Went shopping for a tent with 2 of my kids 9 and 7 months, well of course as life has it my little needed to be changed. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING! Not only that there is not a changing table! In a world where most places even have one in the mens room finally this place has absolutely nothing. When i mentioned it to the cashier i said you guys might want to consider putting a changing table in the bathroom and clean them. He just laughs and says ya right. I will NEVER spend a penny there again.

Brian at the gun counter was very pleasant. Older gentlemen super sweet. The management was piss poor. The guy was making rude comments saying buying a gun was a process... not true. Took less then 15 mins to go through a background check. The two mangers took over 45 mins to find boxes. The comments where not needed.

I called to ask a simple question about ammunition. The store clerk was rude, and acted like I was bothering him. The other locations on Plainfield ave and 28th Street in Grand Rapids have always had friendly and helpful employees.

The staff is friendly for the most part and everyone is as helpful as they can be. However, we consistently go in for particular items for our home gym and a majority of the time the items they have out on the floor are not in stock or orderable.

Worst experience ever. Went in after the movies with my 20 year old son to browse and I saw a very unique shot gun, it was very rare to see in a big box store. No one was working the gun counter at the time, so my son had to go find help. I ask to see the shot gun and within the first minute of helping me he had to leave, the clerk seemed like he didn't want to sell me the item so when he returned I started asking questions about the item, like what come in the box, how many choke tubes does it come with it and instead of him saying he did not know he just lied and said it comes with no ckoke tubes. I thought that was odd. So I asked to see what was in the box when he got back, it had 2 choke tubes in the box and 1 on the barrel. My son also asked him if he can see one of the magazines and the clerk responded " LOEDED?" I still was going to by the item intill I gave him my ID and CPL to purchase the item and he said he didn't need the CPL, that's when I ask for my ID back and left.
