I love this store. It’s what you would expect. They have a great selection and quality gear. The animal display and fish tank are a winner with the kids, as well as the huge toy selection. Great toys that I played with as a kid. Bug catching kits, cap guns, etc. I just wish I had one of these stores near me where I live.

I went in looking to purchase a firearm & the gentleman behind the gun counter named Alex helped me all the way through the process. He was absolutely fantastic to work with! Excellent customer service! Very friendly & inviting, knowledgeable & helpful with getting me want I wanted. Even recommended me other great options & had tips on what a quality product is. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the store as a whole. The other people I met seemed like great guys & gals to work with. Alex, thank you once again sir. I’m a happy customer & will be returning soon :)

The gun counter at this location has become almost unusable to purchase. I live over 1.5 hours from the store so I purchased the gun online. Scheduled time over the weekend to go, I understand that weekends are more busy but it is really the only option for me.I arrived at the gun counter to the automated check in, no problem. But it won't let anyone check in, says the queue is full/unavailable. Someone else with the same problem says they went to customer service and someone is coming to help. Waiting by the kiosk for 15 minutes and no one behind the counter asks the issue and no one comes from customer service.During this time, other people say they have been waiting over 3 hours to look at guns.I go to the front to cancel my order because I am not waiting 3 hours to pickup a gun and let them know the queue isn't working. Someone walks with me to the back and resets the queue so it is working, great but there are 12 people in line in front of me if I were to choose to get in line.I choose to get in the digital line and go grab dinner. After dinner, only 6 people in line, okay, I can wait. Took right about 2 hours but partially because the 5 people in front of me were ran through quickly and didn't come when their spot was called.Guy who actually took care of me was great, wish I caught his name. Ran the background check and all information in less than 20 minutes, including the double check. Great! Then call for a manager for final approval. Waited 20 minutes, the same time it took to do all the paperwork, for him to show up. I could hear them calling all 3 managers. When they show up, they choose to do someone else's paperwork who was ready over 10 minutes after mine. Alright, frustrating but okay. Then the manager helps wrap the gun, tape the box, and we are another 10 minutes past.Then a different manager shows up, after the other person purchasing a firearm has left, and this manager goes through my paperwork.Over 3 hours, to pickup a gun that was purchased online. I understand they had to do a background check and it was a weekend but I have seen this store 3x as busy.They need to have more people if they know it is busy and/or have a designated person for pickups or people who know exactly what they want to purchase. I have no problem with people that want to look and want information but the process was incredibly slow, disorganized, and management doesn't care. They make excuses about it being the weekend and are not available despite being a necessary part of the process and even their employees complain.

I was primarily looking at reloading supplies. Although Cabela's is very large, with a huge selection of many products, they are not a great reloading shop due to minimal selection and top pricing. I have been to many locally owned "mom and pop shops" that have a much better selection and better pricing. I did enjoy their gift area, and I will make this a stop when I'm Christmas shopping for friends and family for sure.

Went in the purchase a very high end crossbow. Even though staff in the department were very kind they were not very knowledgeable about the equipment I was purchasing along with another gentleman purchasing a crossbow. I know there is a ton of new things coming out daily but staff should be required to know the basics of what they are selling.

Had a defective crossbow but that's not a problem anymore thanks to Kevin and his department. It's great to know the Cabela's team of associates are there to help with equipment, product recommendations and service. They seem to know that people rely on them for success in the field and it shows. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks, Kevin.

Employees are nice and knowledgeable. The store has a great selection, a power-sports section, and reasonable used gun area. But I stood in line for 2 hours purchasing a firearm. Once called upon the employee was very helpful and got my background check done faster than the people in-front of me browsing/making a decision. Really just writing this review so that maybe things can change in the future and their gun counter queue can use a little discretion between people ready to purchase vs. the people browsing and asking questions.

This is one of my favorite places to go even if I'm not looking for anything in particular.This location is always very clean and tidy. Staff are always friendly and willing to help. If they don't know something or can't help you, they will find someone who can.There are some really cool things to look at here such as the timber wolves when you walk in and out of the main entrance. There is also a giant display of many different large mammals straight back from the entrance as well as a large live fish tank next to it. Aside from these, there are more taxidermy displays on the walls and shelves throughout the entire store.If you are looking for outdoor equipment of any kind, including clothes, this is the place to go. They have everything you could imagine and more.

Went to buy a firearm and signed in through the queue. Waited for someone to help for an hour. Never moved stood right where the firearm was and waited. Everyone kept walking by with not even a hello or someone will be right with you. After an hour of standing in the same spot waiting 3 teenage boys came up and a guy went right over to them and asked them if he could help them. Strange he would help teenagers instead of a women in her 50’s. I’ll not darken their door ever again for anything. I will be going to the local gun store and purchasing a firearm from them. You should be ashamed that you would serve teenagers before a full grown adult. Especially the way the world is today. If you’re the manager reading this review you can watch your video tape on April 21st from 1pm till 2 pm and you will see. Thanks for nothing.

I wasn't going to waste my time on writing a review on the gun department, but then I felt it was my duty after reading the other reviews. There is no excuse for this department, just read the other reviews and you should be alerted to stay far away and do not support them.Go to your local gun shop, spend the extra 20 bucks (or so) and work with someone who is knowledgeable about what you are looking to purchase, and will actually wait on you.Where is the "zero" star button???

NEVER let the guys here put line on your rod while you shop. They get it wrong everytime. I tried again last week thinking third times a charm, but no. I noticed big loops early in the line on both reels. I have since spoken with multiple ppl that said this has happened to them as well. Sad day when you can't get someone to put line on correctly at Cabellas.

I've bought several firearms there in the past and I like the helpful people. What I don't like is the digital forms for purchasing a firearm. It's soooo slow. Evertime I've purchased a firearm there, it's at least 1 hour of paperwork. Meanwhile, you have customers backing up in line waiting their turn. So either you need scrap your process or get more employees. Last time in, I waited for over an hour in line to purchase a firearm, and then I gave up and walked out. In comparison, most local gun shops can get you in and out in 15 min, including the background check.

Terrible customer service. Waited for almost forty five minutes in the firearm line and never got served. I was there at 2:30 in the afternoon. The store was not busy at all and nobody came to help me. I put my name in their system and no service.UPDATEAfter an online purchase of a rifle, I headed to the store. I was waited on by Gavin. He did an incredible job. Great customer service and I was helped within 10 minutes. This review is really to give Gavin credit. My experience in the store has been sub par, however Gavin did a great job.

It has been pointed out that cabelas is not here to sell anything to customers that come into the store, especially at the firearms counter. Apparently you must register that you're there and need help yet they only help you if they want to even when there is 4 or 5 people standing behind the counter and there is one person standing there. This establishment acts like they are doing you a favor by being here as if there is no other firearms retail in the area. The customer service desk acts like they don't even care and the firearms department isn't part of the store but a separate entity that makes their own rules and doesn't care about the customers. I will be directing my business elsewhere and urge more people to do the same. I think the bass pro company has forgotten about the customer and doesn't care if you buy anything or not and think this is a terribly run company. If I were you I'd think twice before going or spending money with them.

Online order pick up staff is terrible! I placed an online order was told a time frame it would be ready for pick up. The time frame came and went never got any updates on the order. Finally after 2 weeks went by I finally got the email stating it was ready for pick up. I drove to the store to pick it up and the staff member at the in store pick up was very snarky and rude! I was asked for my name and order number rather than stating my name out loud (because i was alone) I remembered the email said I would need my ID and order number when I picked it up whichi had out and ready so I showed him my photo ID he wouldn't even look at it. I told him my information is all right here (which it was because I had the pick up email open as well). The staff member said I need you to say it I'm not looking at that. So I told him my order number and my name while I was putting my ID and phone away. The staff member told me my order wasn't available for pick up at that location. I stated It better be because I specifically requested this store and I was already frustrated so I was getting more upset at this point. He replied I was just messing with you but apparently that's not okay. I ignored the little statement and waited for my order. He gets back with the order and asks for my ID. I told him I put it away because you told me you didn't want to see it. He said oh yeah I don't look at it until the end. I had to dig in my purse to get my wallet and I'd back out. Finally I was able to sign for my order and leave bit it was so frustrating and time consuming. The staff member must have been on a power trip but I will NEVER order another product online to be picked up in store.

One of the smaller locations but don’t let the size fool you. It’s nice not walking into a big store and feeling overwhelmed by the display’s . I was really impressed with Kate at the check out. She double checked the price of the items that I got that had been on sale and made sure that it was rung up correctly. She made mention that on rare occasions the sale price doesn’t come up when scanning. Her attention to small details along with her friendly demeanor is what everyone working in retail should strive for. Those two basic things really stand out in today’s world. Stop on by and check them out they have some of the best quality of clothing that you will find and at a great price point as well. When I’m shopping I follow the golden rule that you get what you pay for.

I used to love Cabela's. I've shopped here for years but there has been a steady decline that has been noticable in the past 2 years it so. My last visit had just horrible customer service. Wanted to purchase something in their "library" but could not get an employee to end their personal conversation long enough to assist me in the 35 minutes that I was there in a nearly empty store. Cabela's has taken a nose dive in quality, selection, and service. The parking lot seems to reflect this as it was the most empty I've ever seen it. Save your time and shop somewhere that has knowledgeable employees and actually values you as a customer.

After waiting over an hour to get up to the gun counter and finally talk to somebody, I told the guy what gun I wanted to purchase. I explained to him that I wanted a 350 legend so that my wife could use it too. I was told that this was considered a gift and with the new laws in place, they were unable to sell me the gun. I was treated like a criminal and the people behind the gun counter should really learn the laws of selling firearms. Feel absolutely disgusted with this place!

Visited Cabelas to see Santa’s workshop and we were not disappointed. We don’t handle crowds very well so this was a perfect alternative for us, compared with battling the mall traffic. The staff/elves were super warm and welcoming, as well as sweet with the children. Would definitely recommend

Came here with my friend and brother to get some AR-15 parts. All in all a good experience. It is Black Friday weekend so I understand how hectic things can be working in retail. We spent about an hour or so in the store and was greeted a total of one times. Taking it lightly given the situation. The store itself is beautiful and worth foregoing online shopping. The decorations, and taxadermy work scattered throughout the store is great. Place smells beautiful as well. Recommended!

Let's just say that I will never buy anything from this store again. I went down there to purchase a firearm. Called ahead and I put my name on one I wanted. I waited over an hour to have my old gun appraised. Then waited over 2 hours to finally get to the gun counter and got denied from purchasing because I wasn't aware of this new rule they had. Left and came back an half hour later. I resolved the 1st issue and then when I was almost done they found a typo on my driver's license. I was told that my ID was invalid. So I came back after getting my ID fixed and waited again in line for 2 hours and it took over another hour to get everything done and so I could leave. The associate was rude and not professional about anything. If you want to spend 3 or 4 hours looking for a gun I'd go somewhere else. Also, as I was waiting I saw 2 people walk up to the gun counter with no spot in line and get helped. I never had such a stressful time buying a firearm and this is the last time I ever go there again.

I got my gun here and the person who helped me was really cool and personable. He explained to me how to aim correctly and what the different types of ammo did and was for. I learned a lot from just one visit. I love this place.

Hello I came here on a Wednesday evening me and my finance went to the gun counter to look at some stream lights for my handgun after I put my name on the wait list I waited a whole hour before I walked up to ONE of the TWO employees working the gun counter and asked do I have to wait to just get a stream light you have behind the counter I know what one I want and I got a very rude response well technically you have to wait for your name to get called but I guess what one do you want?! Very rude and slow service they need better and MORE EMPLOYEES WORKING THE GUN COUNTER.

Customer service at the firearms counter is unprofessional, lacking in knowledge, and seems to be chasing commissions. My wife asked if a certain firearm was in stock and was told that it was. After then waiting in line at the firearms counter for two hours she finally was called up only to have the Cabela's employee talk down to her about the firearm that she was interested in and begin trying to flirt with her! After wasting more time, the employee told my wife that they only had the display model available. My wife said that was fine and she still wanted to purchase this firearm but the employee described it as being likely damaged and that he wouldn't recommend this. The employees then went on trying to pressure my wife to purchase a significantly more expensive firearm which she had already refused interest in previously. Our visit to this store was a compete waste of serveral hours of our time.
