My favorite aquarium store in town. Friendly staff, decent selection of hardscape, live plants, fish, etc. Prices are pretty normal for in store. VIP membership is great. Selling plants and fish is also great to fuel my new plant addiction.

I LOVE going to VI Pets. I have 3 fish, a snail, a cat, a dog, and a leopard gecko. I get ALL their needs from VI Pets and know I can trust the staff to actually know what they are talking about when it comes to fish, unlike most pet stores that just sell them and know nothing about their actual care. Thank you to the entire team for always going above and beyond in care and assistance not only for us as customers but also for the animals in your shop, INCLUDING the aquatics.

Staff can be extremely rude (select few members) a lot of back and forth information, one person says this, another says the complete opposite. Poor care on the reptile side of the store. Cool place to look at but wouldn’t recommend purchasing anything live from them.

I stopped in to have a look around and the staff was attentive without being intrusive, which is always appreciated. I am new to the aquarium hobby and spend entirely too much time and money on it and I can already tell this place is going to be a part of the problem.They had many varieties of aquatic plants, fish, snails, shrimps, most anything you could want. I can't speak for any of the other areas (dogs, cats etc) as I was just there looking at fish stuff.I plan to head back over there in a couple of weeks when I'm ready for some new aquatic livestock.

I come here once every few weeks to purchase fresh live meal worms and wax worms for my gecko. I also have purchased dwarf frogs from VI pets. It’s an amazing store with a wide variety of options. The staff is always so nice and helpful. Highly recommend this location for anyone in the exotic pet world! And the little creature in the photo below is my African dwarf frog who I bought from VI. He is now 1 year old and going strong!

Me and my family always use V.I pets they always have such nice animals, the tanks they provide for spiders, lizards, snakes, or Scorpions are good quality. Also the costumer service is always great, sometimes they'll let you hold some of the animals if you ask. They have many animals to chose from and you could never get bored walking around the store.

My favorite fish store around. Most the staff is friendly. Had one that was rather rude and just saying things that probably shouldnt be said but Mike here makes up for that. Great guy and seems to know his stuff good. Some of the prices were a little high but i know i am getting a healthy fish when i buy from here. My kids love this store aswell. The staff is probably gonna start asking me where things are in the store.

Have been coming here for 20 years (....what?!) They are wonderful, very knowledgeable, and carry a large variety of products and pets-feeders too. We have gotten most of our animals from them, most come with some kind of guarantee. I am always happy to see how well they take care of their animals-even the fish. Lol I also like that it seems the same employees have worked there for 5+ years, it shows they really care about their job.

One of my all time favorite pet stores. I’ve been going here for years. The staff is all very friendly and helpful and they know what they are doing. All of their animals always look wonderful and healthy when I go in there and they have great stock and prices for all the necessities. I’ve recently gotten into the aquatic hobby and seeing how much they care for their fish in store makes me so happy. I can’t recommend this place enough.

i wish i had taken more pictures to share but i was just too distracted by all of the lovely animals - exotic and common alike - that they had for you to choose from or simply to pet and love on i got a couple sugar gliders from their plainfield location a few months ago and am picking up another one from this location soon. staff is very kind and honest and doesn’t rush you even though they have a lot on their plate:)

Cute little pet store! They have a little bit of everything from fish to reptiles and amphibians to bunnies and dogs. The best thing is you get to pet and interact with most of the animals they have! Also the employees are so helpful and nice and always seem to greet you at the door. Will be going back there very soon!

3rd time we have bought a reptile from this store only to have it die on the way home not even twenty minutes later, your people have no clue how to take care of reptiles then say there and tried to lie to our faces. I do not recommend anyone buy any reptiles from this place, literally every single one was either overpriced, under fed, immaciated or had their tales ripped off and growing back.and 250 dollars for a ghi ball is plain idiotic.

Very friendly staff. The place is always clean. And the selection of both reptiles and fish are always wonderful. Not to mention all the other critters they have!! If you are in the Grand Rapids area, I would recommend stopping by!

The man working was very helpful & wise about reptile care. This store is huge, organized, and most importantly clean. I was most impressed with how tidy the aquariums were. It’s good to note that their for sale pet signs hand some info about them such as “bonded so must be sold together.” It shows that they actually care! 100% recommend and there’s a pet for everyone. Only con is I wish they had more items for bearded dragons and the single bird in a cage by itself did look sick.

Always fun to come in and see all the animals they have. They have lots of fishes and even sting rays. Sometimes they have cats for adoption. Very recommended to come here. They only thing is that they don't have much options for cats toys, but I do like seeing all the cat trees they have sometimes. Would definitely buy it they weren't expensive.

Between the help and the selection this is my best place to go for pet supplies. My guppies are healthy with no issues after a week and loving the real plants I added from the shop as well. There is also a giant 25yr old tortoise 🐢 that you can interact with (not for sale) that is great for the kids and adults alike, to enjoy. Tarantulas, chameleons, shrimp, snails, sugar gliders, salt water fish. The place is loaded. Definitely will only be going here from now on. 10/10!!!

The employees here are very sweet. I actually bought my iguana from them 6 months ago. They spent enough time making sure i understood all the items i needed for him along with very helpful tips to about special care instructions. Yesterday i went to grab my iguana some bedding and found the most gorgeous sugar glider and again i was not rushed to. Choose my glider and they had been very busy yet i was not rushed and was even accompanied to the items i needed alog with details on how to care and bond. I only go here and will continue to do so.

I love this hidden gem with friendly people and a wide range of pets. Looking for a ferret? They have it. How about a Madagascar cockroach? Sure. I stopped in looking at the bebe snecks and was not disappointed.

This place has never been known for proper animal husbandry, but my most recent visit takes the cake. There was a female employee speaking with the bunny breeder about not needing any more/bunnies not selling. She then approached me as my partner with a bunny in her hands and stated ‘it’s yours for 20 dollars— it’s yours for 10 dollars— you like this bunny, if you don’t buy it it’s getting frozen!’ This place will use any means necessary to meet the bottom end, and the staff have no moral qualms about selling animals to people who are unprepared/have no business owning these animals. Unprofessional all around!
