What a wonderful place to take the kids, they can get up close and personal with the critters however there was no holding. So along the way they also learned boundaries and the value of Animal Care. Excellent experience with the staff also. We will be back. Beautiful fish room and giant tanks it was incredible.

i am never disappointed coming in here. i stop by to see the lovely options they have in store for their customers - exotic and common alike - very often. i got my first two sugar gliders and a frog from this location months ago and they’re just angels (pictured near the end). staff is so kind and knowledgeable and works hard to take care of their animals!:)

was a couple days ago. wanted blue neon tetras, person pointed at glow fish. asked for a glass lid that would fit a 30 gallon tank. i also got two other species of neon's. in the past few weeks i spent around 800.00 in the store. got home and the glass lid was way to long. this morning i got up and most of the neon's were dead. called store about exchanging the top for the right one. (i live over an hour away i just cant drop whats going on. they told me i have 2 weeks to come and exchange it. i can not back down there till after the first of the month. so I'm stuck with a top that don't fit because employee don't know what there doing. i will not be returning to this store.

Best pet store in West Michigan! One of gold fish I bought there 6 years ago as a little 1 inch long fish is now nearly 8 inches long!! The staff is fantastic- knowledgeable, friendly and clearly love what they do.

I love this place. Workers are sweet(although they could do a liiiitle bit better with hellos when ppl walk through the door. ) and my discus/fish never die. (Hope I didnt just jinx myself) got our VERY 1st discus from here. So newbie to discus Hobby. Have had fish tank for 10plis year. Our discus is thriving almost 2 yrs later. Order online to add to the One from VIpets. They ALL died. Except the one from VIPets. He looked like he was on his last leg stressed from whatever happened in the tank from online ordered discus. Tank cleaning , stress coat Salt and my guy is still THRIVING he is the alpha of the tank. We have succeeded added 5 more discus. 3 more from this place! And all are doing great. 2 more from another place (online -tried again another place, thankfully a great place) BUT ALL 6 fish are doing GREAT. I will never get fish from anywhere else. (Expect from the last online sorce we ordered from) but will always check with VI pets FIRST.Also got Roseline sharks from there too. (Some don't believe they can live in water with discus because of temp. But they are thriving as well, hope it's stays that way. )

This is my favorite pet store! They are so kind and thoughtful with their creatures and the variety of animals and supplies is unbeatable. I always would enjoy visiting to see hot dog the iguana sunning himself in a windowsill, or catching the tortoise out for a walk! Support small businesses that truly love animals and treat them in an ethical way!! 10/10

Good place to shop. Our visit brought us in for some fish, but I checked out the whole store. Good prices, knowledgeable and helpful staff.Personally I loved the tortoise that was walking around the store. I was shocked to see it, but thought it was absolutely great!!

One of the few pet stores that actually care about the animals. If you tell them you want a beta and you've got a 1 gallon bowl, or a goldfish in a 10 gallon, they will educate you. As a serious pet and fish owner, I love that one of the first questions you are asked is if you've had fish before, what's the tank like, any tank mates? I mean, people do the same thing for dog and cat adoptions. They always have a great selection of anything pet related, they regularly circle out unique and healthy animals.Store pets are 6/5 stars.

We purchased a ferret from V.I.Pets, it passed away after 2 weeks. Not only were the staff very comforting, they worked hard to help my family get a replacement ferret. I hold very high respect for how we were treated and taken care of by the staff members.

I LOVE V.I.Pets so much! I literally cannot resist coming in here every time I pass it on Plainfield. They have everything you can imagine to spoil your pet and then some, plus the staff is super knowledgeable and patient with all your questions. The fish room is a lot of fun to look at and they just recently got stingrays too! Looking at all of the animals is so much fun, especially if you bring your kids in(CAUTION: You may end up with a new family member if you do this 😉). A very trusted place among many and high quality products as well. Thanks V.I.Pets for caring about our furry and scaly friends!

My family loves this pet store. They're knowledgeable and friendly and they've got a menagerie of cool not-for-sale pets like this iguana and a pair of humongous tortoises. You can tell they really care about animals here, and it's nothing like the big box chain per supply stores.

Superior customer service! We were referred to this location by another pet store chain when they didn’t have any fish.It was our daughter’s 5th birthday and we were on a mission to get a fish.With only 15 minutes before closing, Richard walked us through the prep process, supplied us with gear to create a good environment in our tank, and walked us around the fish tanks with great starter fish choices.Wonderful customer service! Thank you. Can’t wait to be back to pick up our fish when our tank is ready.

Basically a mini zoo- animals are clean and seem happy, and prices aren't bad either. Bought my daughter's first betta fish from here- he's healthy and vibrant, they obviously took good care of him. Also employees were passionate and willing to answer all my questions. Will definitely be back!

Seems to be a very laid back, no pressure environment. The staff just go about their day until you need assistance. All the displays are clean, and the animals appear to be taken good care of while they are waiting to go to their forever home. From what I've seen, I'd reccomend this place.

They don't properly care for their animals. Who let them get stingrays? Hedgehogs do not sleep outside like that unless they are sick or stressed. They need to do better.

I got my little ferret princess Tallulah from this place. They provided a health certificate, birth certificate, and vaccination report. And also all the information to register her on the Marshall website. They're also all super duper knowledgeable and helpful. BIG recommend!
