I took my puppy here for his first haircut, and they did such a great job! I was nervous about him being there, but they were very reassuring and took very good care of him. They were very responsive and were able to book me an appointment the same week I called. I gave them minimal instructions but Ribbie's haircut turned out perfect and exactly how I envisioned it! And they even gave him a cute bandana and a baggie of treats. I will be back! As a heads up they only take cash or check.

I wish could give this place 6 stars. Our corgi Koda looks great everytime we take him. They know exactly how to trim each breed and are very attentive to any suggestions.

This week we had to take our cat, Venus, to get her nails trimmed. We took her to the Posh Pet. They are very friendly and incredibly priced. However, their reception area is in the same room where they groom the dogs, which is very loud and smells very strongly of pet urine. It does not appear to be a very calming area for the pets. They took Venus into a back room which they claimed was a quieter area for cats (Venus hasn't spent any time around dogs, so I was grateful for that) but I was discouraged from following the technician back to look at the cat accommodations, and that made me feel a little nervous. All the same, Venus came back happy as a clam and clearly untraumatized, I will probably bring Venus back for her nail trimmings.

Absolutely amazing experience, my dog is a rescue so I'm not for sure how he would act and be around strangers they were wonderful with him and he's so cute now!

We just had the most horrible experience with our sweet puppy. She was kept in a cage for 4 hours not even touched when we showed up to check on her. We picked her up and she wasn’t bathed. Barely cut her body, and didn’t even touch her face. They covered her with perfume and didn’t even bother to call us when she was kept in a kennel for multiple hours. Horrible DO NOT go here unless you want your dog unattended for.

This is the best place to get your pet pampered! The staff are always nice, and they put cute little bandanas on dogs when they get a bath. Just know they only take cash and check!

These people seem great for a while to their regular customers, but don't trust them. We had been going to them since 2012 with a shih tzu-mix dog and with things being crazy the last year we had to wait longer than normal for an appointment (which we were fine with). We had an appointment set up a month in advance and only 2 days before the appointment they called us saying they wouldn't take our dog because he wasn't up to date on his shots. Our dog is up to date on his shots, but the vet has been behind with records. They wouldn't listen and canceled our appointment without even letting us fix the mistake! Regular grooming is important to our dogs health as he is old and needs to be groomed in order to be able to go to the bathroom cleanly or else he gets infections. They are aware of this as well, but they don't care about their animal clients health it seems. Please do not trust this groomer there are plenty of other place who do care about animal's needs and are willing to go above and beyond for your fur babies.

I've been bring my dogs here for years. I had an appointment scheduled for Friday am. I've been scheduling Friday am appointments since that works for my schedule. I received a call today to confirm my appointment for Thursday am... I cannot do that. They completely mis-scheduled me and are 'full' on Friday. They could not/would not honor the Friday am appointment. I agreed to bring one dog that really needs to be groomed for a mid-morning appointment, however I couldn't bring both dogs and then wait for the second one since I have prior appointments Friday afternoon. I would have to find someone else to groom the other dog in the near future. I was told the owner said if I'm not bringing both, then the one dog was not welcome... So basically now I have to find a new groomer. With scheduling lead times, I'm going to have one dog that is a mess since he really needs to be groomed every 5-6 weeks. It's a shame that they do business this way. They screwed up my appointment, and then were not flexible fixing the mistake. I was being as flexible as my schedule allowed. I really would not recommend doing business with someone that would put a dog in need of a grooming out like this because they made a mistake. Find another groomer if you want someone that will be reliable.

Best Groomer's in Grand Rapids! Wonderful, kind hearted Staff. Just love the Owner, she is one of the nicest people I've met.You are always meet with a smile and a friendly greeting. Always very nice and I never worry about leaving our Charlie Boy with them. They do a great Clip and I highly recommend them.

We like it there very much. However, the last time we had our dog in, she came down with a severe ear infection that required a trip to the vet and took her six weeks to get over. We were not very happy with that. We think the gal grooming her must have gotten water in her ears. She had an appointment for tomorrow, June 15, 2020, but we had to cancel it, but we will go back. They like her real well, and I think Reba likes it to, except the barking noise that drives her nuts.

I absolutely cannot say enough praise about Carrie! (Sorry if I misspelled 😊) The love and care her team and her shows thru in their work! Our fur baby loves his quarterly grooming session and the team does such a fantastic job. We always and forever go to The Posh Pet Dog and Cat Salon!

Took my long hair cat here and they did a great job. Another place i called wanted to shave him and i didn't want that. April was the groomer and she did exactly what i asked for; she did a bath and blowout and then trimmed his armpit fur, mane, and rear-end (so he doesn't get messy from potty time). I picked him up soft and well trimmed! Will def go back.

I have brought my dogs to Posh Pet's for over two years, they are wonderful! Karrie fit me in their schedule when Louie got sprayed by a skunk. My dogs enjoy going there and I feel comfortable leaving them there. They give Louie an oatmeal bath because he has skin allergies. All the ladies that work there are great! Try them you won't be sorry and they are very reasonable.

I came in and it was DIRTY!! Asked the girl behind the counter how much it costs for grooming a Persian cat. She asked me if it was long hair! I said it was a Persian. They quoted me a price of 60 and up! Now that's really up there. They told me that cats are really hard to groom. My cat has been getting groomed for 10 years now with a wash, blow and comb out and sanitary shave as well as a belly shave. And all for 55 dollars!! I was just trying to get a groomer closer to my home. They were actually pretty rude. I'll drive the distance, and get a better job done!! Very un helpful and expensive for little service.

Posh pets made an appointment for my dog on short notice. They did a great job and made me feel very comfortable bringing Buddy there for the first time. They were even super inexpensive! Buddy even got a postcard a week later :)

This is a great pet salon, very friendly and they do a great job! Highly recommend! It is very close to my home so it is extra convenient, if your in Alger Heights why bother driving further to get your dog washed? They are very reasonably priced and super close!

We always bring our dog there for the works and he always comes back soft, clean, and happy. They are usually pretty busy (because they are good) so usually you need to schedule a day or two in advance, but it's worth it! Great place!

I brought my Persian cat in for a loin cut only and they gave him a bath, trimmed his nails, cleaned his ears and just gave him an overall trim that was extremely patchy and charged me for the full service. Thy where nice and "had 30 years of experience" but I personally won't be going back.

Will not go back. My doodle needed to be shaved, and they did. but thats all. They did not blend after. I paid $50+ for some one to use an electric trimmer on my dog. He got a wash, but i would expect that you go over your work manually after.

After much debate I have decided to write this review...Do not take your dog here if you have a high stress animal who doesn't 'enjoy' being groomed. They place their dogs in kennels stacked on top of one another and they just sit there watching other dogs get groomed. This added to a lot of stress for my pup and he even became afraid of his kennel after teh experience.Because of the stress he was unable to get groomed because he wet/defecated himself whenever a groomer came near him. He is a lil chicken toy poodle but still! They recommended that I take him to the vet to go under anesthesia every time he needed to get groomed!!!!!! Ya, not healthy and not gonna happen!Since, we have taken him to wash and wags in standale and we have had zero issues! He is so happy and even enjoys being there because he gets to run around and play with other dogs.

I have been taking my dog there for 3 plus years to have their nails trimmed. Always smiling always accommodating and are able to clip the 3 different sizes I have , A Great Dane, a Pit Bull and a Chihuahua
