I got my puppy almost a year ago now! A mini golden doodle.. I name her Bella!! She will turn 1 year old on October 24, 2023.. she is a hyper, chewing and loves to be the center of attention.. always gotta be next to you!! I love this little girl so much even though she’s soo naughty!! People say don’t shop at a pet store.. but you no.. unfortunately these puppies are here though and they need a loving home too..she’s the only one I ever got at a pet store.. the rest of mine have come from a breeder.. and I’ve never had any issues with Bella.. she’s a happy healthy little girl! I love her so much!!

Disgusting puppy mill they don't care where they get their puppies from they just want to turn a 300 dollar puppy into a few thousand dollar pup. All about money.Definitely not about healthy pups and HEALTHY parent pups.Please do not support puppy mills these people get rich off of your sympathy of how cute a puppy is and how on knowledgeable you are of how the puppy was made and how cruel the parents are treated.Quit supporting these places....grosss

This place needs to be shut down. All of these puppies come from puppy mills that mass produce in order to make a quick buck…with no care of breed preservation. These are the breeders that are ruining many of the world’s most renowned breeds by breeding dogs with terrible conformation and poor health (also the ones creating mixed breed dogs for no reason besides money.) No ethical breeder would ever place their puppies in a pet store. If you are interested in purchasing a well bred purebred dog, visit the parent club of the breed you are interested in. Never purchase a dog from a pet store or from a breeder that does not health test their dogs via OFA or Pennhip and do not partake in titling their dogs with their kennel club. It’s sad people don’t research or educate themselves on places like this. Stop supporting unethical breeders. Adopt OR shop responsibly.

I came to play with a puppy that urinated in the small play pins and i let an employee know, they let me know that there were towels and that i would clean it using the spray. I was shock because i have been here before and have never been told to clean a puppies mess because i dont happen to work there. Im a customer.

Got my second dog Lotte (originally Zuma) from this location. Got my first one from the Alpine location. Nice staff. Very thorough legal packet. No issues with my first dog and so far no issues with Lotte. On the pricey end but everything is nowadays. 🤷‍♀️ Only thing that has gotten pondering is there is barely anything I can find on original breeder using the name on the paperwork. 🤔🤔🤔

It is well known in almost every veterinary practice in west Michigan that Barking Boutique sells puppy mill dogs for egregious prices. For anyone wondering, a puppy should not cost $5000-$7000, especially one from some puppy farm in Indiana.Not only that, most of the puppies veterinarians see are also actively sick. Our practice has diagnosed Parvo in 2 different puppies in the last month and a half!The people who run this place are truly vile human beings. Their practices are incredibly inhumane and unethical, it makes me sick. The only thing they’re good at is scamming and lying to the public.

The staff (especially Ashley) was awesome to work with! I called on a puppy and they gave him a bath and had him ready for us! They were helpful, nice, and the process was simple. The shop was clean and the pups are adorable. I called the next day with concern and they eased my mind and were beyond nice! Great experience definitely recommend! Our new puppy was sent home with everything we needed as well! ❤

I recently bought a Boston terrier from The Barking Boutique. Taylor was phenomenal getting back to me and walking me through the entire process. Little Pippin has been such a good puppy. I found the facility clean and the dogs appeared to be cared for. Pip is glad to have the run of the house and loves her new home. Thank you Taylor for making this possible for me!!!

Our puppy was NOT bred well. We did a full genetic panel on him after bringing him home and found out he has MDR 1 mutation which he inherited from both parents. If the breeder had done simple genetic testing this could have been avoided, but now we have to be extremely cautious about any medications or anesthesia because of this genetic condition. He can have seizures from neurotoxicity. Also we paid a crazy amount of money for him, just to find out his sister was sold for over 50% less than we paid. They also rush you into financing while the puppy is sitting with you so you don’t have time to read everything. Come to find out if you don’t pay off the dog in 90 days you have 100% interest!! We love our pup, but please do not buy here!!

We have purchased 2 dogs from Barking Boutique. A Siberian Husky in Jan 2022 and Golden Retriever in Nov 23. Both dogs are beautiful and very socially well adapted. The Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and you can tell they really care about the dogs. Obviously, a new dog is a great responsibility and serious consideration needs to be given to the long-term commitment you’re making, but if you were ready to accept that responsibility, you should feel very comfortable visiting the Barking Boutique to select your new best friend.

I will never buy another dog from here. They are sick dogs. My puppy was so small that she could hold her blood sugar levels. She was a sick puppy when we got her we almost lost her. We paid 4400 to have to turn around and spend another 4000 on emergency care for her. I don't recommend anyone to go here to purchase a puppy they are expensive and sick. The guarantee they have on the puppy they don't stick too. So instead of getting a very healthy puppy I got a sick one

So I should have wrote this review the day it happened, but the puppy's a lot of work lol, I was helped by the most amazing employee they have her name is Aubrey she helped and did everything in her power to help me get this dog and me and my Girlfriend now have a dog of our own if anyone in higher management sees this give her a rase in pay or just make her manager she's amazing!

My boyfriend fell in love with our newest fur baby Clifford, a Saint Bernard. We first visited a couple weeks and have been hoping and praying everyday that we get to bring our baby home and finally today is the day. Brennyn Vasquez was an amazing help. He was super patient,knowledgeable,and eased all of our concerns,and was willing to work with us every step of the way. This place is AWSOME!!!! A young Red Head woman, Hannah, and Kiley, all helped us find the perfect digg for us. They were very patient kind and caring making sure it was a good fit. Hannah wrote up the contract and explained it to us paragraph by paragraph to ensure all the things we get for FREE for buying through them, and what was required on our part to keep those warenteeies. After the purchase a friend who also bought a dog at the same time brought some concerns to our attention and we were contacted by Shelia (the manager) who confirmed we were right and after further review the "issue" was that our friend either didn't read her contract or it wasn't explained well enough (she had a new newer employee). Sheila ended up siding on the side of my friend and. Issued a credit back to the credit card to "apologize" for any possible misunderstandings. Which I think was quite fair as even if it wasn't "explained to her" it's written right in the contract, NOTHING is hidden, you LITERALLY have to initial each point. Then to add to ALL that GREAT customer care. I brought up I kind of wanted our puppies brother and Sheila worked with me for a WEEK trying to get the price low enough for my wife to except. Unfortunately that was unsuccessful but they were still GREAT!!!!!

If you are interested in getting a puppy, please understand that this “business” sells puppies from puppy mills. I obtained a folder of information on a puppy and took a screen shot of the breeder information, only to google and discover it was a puppy mill. If you purchase a puppy from this place you are inadvertently supporting the continued abuse of dogs.

I'll save all of you the trouble of trying to figure out why this business has such a low star rating on google. I looked at every 1-star rating and it's patently obvious that these were all written by "animal rights activists" (if you know what I mean). Don't be lied to, go check this place out for yourself.

My mom bought a puppy here for $1200, she ended up giving the puppy back because it had kennel cough. Which the place never told her about when she picked up the puppy. They just told her that there was no health guarantee, come to find out from my moms vet it’s illegal in Michigan to sell a dog with no health guarantee. The way this place treated my mom after she brought the dog back was terrible. The vet that my mom took the puppy to vaccinated the puppy. My mom offered to take the puppy back if it wasn’t going to die. The lady at the store said they had someone else in line to adopt the dog. How can they do that? My mom was so upset she thought that they would take her back into a room and have the manager talk with her. But they didn’t, they were very cold towards my mom. My mom was attached to this puppy it made her sick to give the puppy back. But if it dies that’s 1200 down the drain. This place needs to be looked into. What they are doing is not right if this puppy had kennel cough so do all the puppies. So sad!

All of the staff have been extremely helpful in the whole process and very knowledgeable with different dog breeds to help pick out which breed is best fit for one’s lifestyle. Please BEWARE! The Barking Boutique sells PUPPY MILLS dogs--they lie and say they don't but please do your research and read their reviews to know the truth--these puppies are taken from their mothers way too young and many are very ill.Its the most wonderful thing in the world to love a dog so please consider rescuing a dog instead of supporting dog abuse ---if you are looking for a specific breed there will be a rescue group out there that helps that specific breed, or please check with Kent county animal shelter or The Humane Society of West Michigan to see if they have a puppy that fits your needs.Dogs that come from shelters are medically healthy, have all their shots are already spayed /neutered and the staff makes sure they do not have any behavioral issues---they also offer low cost or discounted fees NOT thousands of dollars. PLEASE BE KIND ENOUGH TO CARE and DO THE RIGHT THING. ADOPT---DON'T SHOP! Thank you!

If you buy from here, you did not “adopt” a puppy, you bought a puppy mill puppy.There is a reason they do not post where the pups are sourced from on the website. They claim they do not support puppy mills but that is a lie. They may not buy directly from puppy mills(but they probably do), but their brokers definitely do! A few of their dogs come from puppy mills featured on the Humane Society’s “Horrible Hundred” list of the worst puppy mills in the United States. I’m surprised this place is still open. Oh, they also own Paws and Unwind pet resort and allegedly they house sickly pups and puppies who don’t sell there! So if you’ve ever used Paws and Unwind pet resort and your dog came home ill, thank David Boelkes.Also, very predatory towards the elderly and young people. There is no reason anyone needs a payment plan for a puppy, especially since they don’t receive proper vet care from Dr Phelps. Where is the $4k+ per puppy going, David? Not to your staff or proper care for the puppies that’s for sure.

I really wanted to love this place. Hailey gave me false info on a teacup chihuahua, said she was healthy and doing well. Took her home and started having issues, she was positive for giardia and kennel cough. They barely gave me a refund for her vet bills. The puppy is doing fine now, but would not adopt from here ever again.

We bought a puppy from them. The puppy seemed healthy in the store. We got her home and within a few she started to cough. Turned out she had kennel cough and gave it to our other dog. Our other dog ended up very sick we had to make an emergency after hours trip to the vet. I would recommend not getting a puppy from them.

Be warned if you do not pay for your whole dog upfront and use there easypay finance option it will charge you 110% interest and you'll make no ground on payments. There company they use for payment plans is a scam. I was doing payment plans through that company and didn't realize the interest. I thought it would only take me 6 months to pay off but a year later I had payed double what the dog was worth and only actually payed for 500$ of the dog. Do not buy from this company if there willing to scam people on payment plans
