App says my prescription is ready. Leave work early to get it on my way home. Waited in line. Told they don’t have anything ready. I asked how I’m supposed to know when to come get it and was told to “call back later and check.” Like, really?!No customer service. Inconsistent with refill turnaround times. Competitively priced but I will take our family’s business elsewhere. There’s always something with this location and this was just the last straw.

Called pharmacy about issues I’d been having receiving the text message notifications about my medication refill status, this had been an ongoing problem for me that multiple pharmacists at 4 different Meijer locations, at least 5 customer service agents on their call line and so forth hadn’t been able to help me solve in over 2 YEARS! Even prior to speaking with Casey today, I’d been talking to people trying to fix this problem for over 2 hours. 😞2 minutes on the phone (90 seconds which was me talking) and their manager Casey, had solved the problem and fixed everything!!! Words can’t express how grateful I am! Now I have 1 less excuse for picking up my meds late. 😅If they ever decide they don’t want to work as a pharmacist anymore pretty sure they’d have an amazing career in IT.

Though their prices are competitive, service is abysmal. Prescriptions are late to arrive, no notification sent. Forced to wait in long lines, only to be informed that the script is not available or not yet ready.Pharmacy techs are over worked and under staffed, resulting in curt and sometimes rude service… privacy compromised by loud verbal interchanges.I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Have been taking the same medication and dosages for the last 10 years and have never ran into any problems until using this particular pharmacy.Issues with insurance, issues with multi month supplies.....the list goes on and on.Would recommend staying very far away from this pharmacy.

Usually pretty Pleasant employees never really too many issues with the actual Pharmacy for the most part, but for the love of God!!!!! Do something about this drive-thru!!! It blows my mind that it has been able to remain the way it is for as long as it has. I literally just got told by an officer we all should move because we are blocking the crosswalk front door and obviously the opposing traffics lane. Which of course we can't help because of how the drive-thru is set up . Completely dangerous, some cars take far too long going through the drive-thru, in fact the other day there was a car in the line for at least 25 minutes and why in the world is this drive through facing the way it is?! I don't know why there's always 87 cars in line, and God forbid you go anywhere around 5:00, and it takes an hour to get through but even if you moved the drive-thru that would probably help a lot. Sincerely, every annoyed Shopper at Standale Meijer and especially us Pharmacy users

I wish I could write a review about my experience with the store. However, they won’t even pick up the phone. I called 12 (!!!) times and no one picked up the phone. The other Meijer Pharmacies are all responsive and will answer the phone in a timely manner. Apparently the people who work here could care less about actually helping customers.

Update 3/25/24:These people are some of the most incompetent people I’ve ever met. The lady I spoke with on the phone at 6:52pm was very disrespectful to me. She sounded like she didn’t want to do anything or deal with anything. All I asked was for a BIN and GRP number to be applied to a $400 medicine since my insurance was being finicky.Update: Still extremely slow years later. I’ve been sitting behind someone for 20 minutes with cars behind me and I just saw the driver in front of me fill out a form to hand to the pharmacist. These pharmacists MUST kick the people who aren’t ready to pick up the medicine out of the drive thru line and into the store. Drive thru is for quick service and ready customers whose orders are already ready without issue!!!Super slow. Sitting in a long line for 20 minutes all the way down the whole front of the store. And I’m only the 3rd car in line. Ughh. Maybe customers need to call or already make sure that their prescription is ready before coming to pick it up.Also people who have prescriptions that aren’t ready yet need to be sent out of the line and into the parking lot. This is ridiculous. When you run low on a medicine just call type the RX number onto the phone and they’ll have it ready within 2 days, easy as that.

I think everyone at this location probably needs a raise. It seems like there's always a very long line, and the phones are always ringing, but they're clearly staffed and I've never seen anyone dawdling. The Pharmacists are always very professional and helpful, and Julie is always especially personable and friendly.

Nightmare to get a prescription filled. Not only is it a 25 plus minute wait but they will take a weeks to fill and tell you to come back later or the next day only for you to return, wait and still won’t have it filled.

Please go to any other pharmacy but this one… They always have a line in and outside. But that isn’t my issue. My issue with them is waiting on the phone to speak to someone because the automated call doesn’t fit my needs. I have waited anywhere from 20-40 minutes on hold waiting to speak to someone many times. I have never spoken to anyone in under 20 minutes.

I waited in line to pick up my prescriptions. They didn’t take my insurance discount card. So the lady told me to go out in the parking lot and down load Good Rx for a discount. Than get back in line so I did. Waited again for my turn got up again now a different girl says I have to go back to the parking lot and park. Come inside and wait maybe 30 to 45 min. Till they put it in the computer? So now I have waited over a hour and still don’t have my prescriptions will never never use them again!!!!!!! Wonder why they have two stars???????

I waited until after I visited the pharmacy a solid 10 times to write an accurate review. They have never once delivered on time or customer-based service. They are unbelievably slow and careless when it comes to getting a prescription addressed in a timely manner. The pharmacists seem to have no idea what is going on and on multiple occasions have billed insurance inaccurately for us. There are several other pharmacy options in the area, I would recommend any of them that is not this one.

I needed to have my prescription sent to my home town, but it wouldn’t let me do it through the app so I tried to call the pharmacy. First time, it rang for 5 minutes and no one picked up. Hung up and tried again, and the same thing happened. Hung up and tried again, and again 5 minutes. I tried calling customer service and no one answered there either so I hung up after a few minutes. Four phone calls with no answer… I had to call my hometown pharmacy (who answered in 20 seconds) to override the order and have it sent there. I don’t really have good experiences with the pharmacists in person either, they always seem like they have better things to do than help you.

Never had an issue with this pharmacy and have been going for years. I suspect that a lot of the negative comments might be connected to insurance issues that are out of the employees hands.Sometimes scripts might take 10 minutes longer than expected, but people have to realize that they're not the only ones waiting for medication (especially if your expecting the staff to contact your insurance on your behalf). Their auto-refill is super helpful, especially with the text message reminders.

In my personal experience, the Standale Meijer Pharmacy is the superior location in Grand Rapids for one’s medical needs. Their staff is caring, knowledgeable, and efficient. Jenna displayed exceptional professionalism and customer service. She went above and beyond to ensure my prescription needs were taken care of while making me feel like a valued patient. Do not send your meds here. They will send a text saying your prescription is ready- but then you get there and it won't be. It's happened to me 5 times.Save your time and frustration.

Simply put: it is a chore.Countless times I have had to deal with these issues:1. Multiple occasions I have been told directly over the phone that my prescription was ready for pick up, however upon arriving at the pharmacy, am notified that they hadn't even started to fill the prescription yet. 🚩2. Multiple occasions when they claim to have not received a prescription sent to them by my doctor. 🚩3. Several times I have had to call the pharmacy to request that they start filling a new prescription that my doctor sent to them that day. Instead of beginning to fill the medication when they receive the prescription, I have found many times that it was simply put on my file without a plan to fill it. The doctor already placed the order; it should be fulfilled without the patient having to call the pharmacy to remind them to start filling a medication order. 🚩4. Whether you go inside or use the drive through, you will wait an extremely long wait, every single time. Typically there is one cashier handling the in store pharmacy customers. Rarely are there two. (Either way, your prescriptions will consistently NEVER be ready when they say they are, so plan on taking a seat after waiting in an extended timely line, and also plan to again stand in an extended timely line to finally obtain your prescription. 🚩5. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to reach this pharmacy by phone. Over the past several months (six to eight), I have attempted to call countless times on numerous occasions, yet NOT ONCE was I able to reach a live person. 📵I later addressed this in person with a pharmacy tech, stating to her that their phone line does not work. She replied “I know, our IT department is working on it”........?!?⁉️ Shouldn't a working phone line be of utmost priority to any business?!? 🤥When do you ever hear of a phone line❌" under repair" for months and months on end?!? 🚩Never.Save your precious time and energy and go elsewhere. 🚩🚩🚩👋🏼

Sooo incredibly slow. They have no consideration for their customers or their time.I called 3 times to confirm that my prescription would be ready to pickup at 1:00. Each time they assured me that it would. I arrive at the store at 1:00 and sure enough its not ready. Now I'm stuck waiting with my sick daughter for an additional half hour.

I will never go to this entire store again because of their pharmacy. They have taken medications out of my bottle and lied about it. Every time they text me my prescription is ready, I go there to pick it up and they never actually filled it. I’m on heart medication. Meijer pharmacy has put my life in danger from their negligence. Not to mention the representatives in the pharmacy have never been kind to me. This is hands down the worst store in west Michigan. I am begging the next person who reads this to not go here if you have medication that you depend on to keep you alive. They don’t take it seriously.

The service there is terrible! Besides the long lines I have had multiple problems with this pharmacy regarding my prescriptions. When using the voice operated refill option for prescriptions there has been times when I would specifically drive to Meijer to find out they didn't fill my prescriptions after they had been approved! They don't notify you or call you back!The service representatives answering the phones at the pharmacy are a hit or miss. The reason I decided to write a review in spite of everything else is because I received the worst customer service on the phone tonight! It sounded like a young girl who repeatedly kept asking my name, DOB and telling me I did not have a prescription on file. She told me it wasn't there and I told her it's definitely in your system because I've used this location before. She had a bad attitude and was VERY unhelpful. Her customer service skills were horrid and I can't believe they're letting her answer the phone. She put me on hold for five minutes and as soon as I talked to another pharmacist he knew exactly what I needed!Like I said, it's a hit or miss. Some of the young people working at this location are rude.

I needed to write a review about my personal experience with the pharmacy. My granddaughter attends Grand Valley State and was sick. She had a tele conference with a doctor who then prescribed an antibiotic for her and sent it to the pharmacy. The only way we thought to retrieve it was for her to take a bus to Meier. I called the pharmacy this morning and spoke with a very polite and helpful pharmacy technician named Makenzie. She not only checked for the prescription, verified the insurance and told me they could ship it to her college dorm today. She then proceeded to contact the delivery person and told me that it would be there between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. I gave her my granddaughter’s phone number so that they could call her when they arrived. They arrived at 12:01 pm. I am not exaggerating. Makenzie needs to be commended for her exemplary customer service. People don’t always need to leave negative reviews and this certainly is not one of them! Thank you Makenzie! You made a grandma very grateful

Waited 20 minutes and got a text that the script was ready, however, none of the techs would call me up in front of the nine people in line. I had another appointment so I left and tried calling them and they would pick up and then hang up, they did this five times. Will not ever go back.

I’ve never had a problem with this pharmacy. They do the best they can & I am always greeted by friendly workers. My prescriptions are filled promptly as well. The wait can be long at times but that’s what happens at a highly used pharmacy.

The other people nailed it. Slow and rude. I gave my date of birth, told them what it was, they said it wasnt ready. I showed them the text i got from the meijer pharmacy app that clearly said it was ready hours ago and i got told "that doesnt mean anything"...........excuse me? Were my expectations too high? When i finally got it, it was in a sealed plastic bag because it came in pre-packaged on the afternoon order and had, in-fact, been ready for about 5 hours. They made me wait another 45 minutes thinking I wouldn't know the difference. Stay classy folks. 🍻

Doctor sent 6 scripts in they never told me they only filled 4 went back and they said it would be 3 days to order the other two. I guess I don’t need those. Then went back that day to fill another one they didn’t have the correct dosage. They will have to order it. What kind of Fly by Night operation is this place I would give it a zero if I could have.

Always alway always late on my prescriptions. I fill prescriptions two days in advance and they still aren't ready when I go to pick them up. They don't call or inform you if they don't have your medication. Always behind. Always so slow. I would recommend going anywhere but here. Unless you like waiting in line for 30 minutes to then be told you have to wait for another 30 min for a prescription you called to refill two days prior. Horrid service.
