We would like to thank Jame Davis - Assistant Store Manager, Michael and Mark in the Appliance Department and the Lowe's delivery drivers. A few weeks back we had an issue with a newly purchased washing machine from Lowe's. Michael listened to us when we called; James took care of us when we came to the store. All I can say is Lowes stood by their product . . . but more importantly they took care of us in a very professional manner which we greatly appreciated. Because they were so awesome in their response to our defective washing machine . . . we headed right back to the appliance department - spoke to Mark - and purchased a different model and are very pleased with our purchase. Thank you Plainfield Lowe's for your outstanding customer service!!

Employees are helpful and accessible. Decent selection of products in store and online.Most products are pretty well made, but if you want for sure durable and reliable you will need to get the nicer and more expensive ones. They do carry cheaper versions of most anything you're looking for, however those are less quality made -you get what you pay for!Typical home improvement store. I prefer others over this store, but my husband is always happy to go here. I think other stores are less expensive.Love that they allow dogs, good stop in the freezing weather to get your pup out of the house!

Phone system needs help! HR at the store level doesn't return calls. People in store acknowledge you if they look up but seldom ask to help You! Not Home Depot like. Should be trained to ask customers if they need assistance. This part is a 1 star.!

BEWARE!!I ordered appliances, flooring, and countertops. They give me a quote for counters and then they had someone come measure the space. They then added 500 more to the invoice and are also charming a measuring fee and trip charge. Don’t work with these crooks.They refuse to give me a refund. I’m canceling all my orders. Rude and shady. BEWARE!!

The store associate who helped us with the purchase of a new washing machine and dryer was amazing. Sadly after the interaction with them ended is when everything else with this company turned into an absolute nightmare. On delivery day the drivers seemed reluctant to do the install for multiple reasons that were eventually solved, including removing our railing from our stairs. They refused to install eventually due to the gas line being in bad shape and they didn't want to install the new unit to that line. They asked us to get a plumber out to replace the line and then get in contact with Lowes again to schedule them back out. We got a plumber into the house and they could not find a single reason for Lowe's to refuse to install on the current line in the house. The plumber ended up doing the install for us without issue. When trying to call Lowes and get the delivery people back out for removal of the old dryer I sat through 20 minutes of automated systems only to get transferred to the wrong department and then have to sit through the automated system AGAIN to get to the correct department. This company will never have my business again.

Lowe's of course is huge. They have everything you need and lots you don't, which can be very tempting to over shop! This trip was a success, went in, got what we needed and left. Had to return something as well, and it was quick and easy.

I've had to reschedule a stove delivery multiple times due to ongoing road construction in my neighborhood. Staff at this Lowe's have been exceptionally kind and proficient. Either my phone wait time has been short to non-existent and/or they now have a call back system that was fast, efficient, and placed me in the hands of a kind human. In an age where customer service is almost a misnomer, I want to thank all those who have graciously helped me at this store. Great job team!

They carry 0 countertop samples in-store. You need to order them online and wait for delivery... Such a waste of time and resources. We were out visiting Lowes and the 2 other big box home improvement stores for Quartz samples. Ended up ordering with a different store later that week after getting good samples in-store, when we may have chosen Lowes if we got a sample that day. Otherwise the store is clean and employees are helpful and kind.

I went in here completely confused about what I should get to match my current flooring because my water heater burst and damage flooring in the hallway.James helped me with everything. He measured and matched my flooring very closely to the flooring I currently have. He also suggested ideas of how to fit these pieces together. To me, his skill is unmatched. I have never seen anybody at any place. I’ve ever been to go out of their way to help a customer. Thank you, James!

I was just strolling thru the store, checking out flooring, lighting, faucets, mirrors and rough sawn t & g for a wall for a full bath reno. Once again, saw a lot of great choices of trending products. 3 store employees kindly asked if I was finding what I needed.

I always find it hard to find people to help at Lowe’s. Sadly when I found someone to help( they had to find someone to cut some wood ). I waited for 5 plus minutes! No one ever showed up!

After shopping around for doors we decided to go with Lowes to find a custom door to fit our needs and the style of our 1920's craftsman home. After waiting six months for our custom Pella doors we got them installed. Installation was pretty seamless and the installation person they sent was on time, professional and friendly. Front door was as expected but backdoor is the wrong color. We ordered black and received navy. So they installed a navy door with black trim and black hardware and just left as if this was acceptable. Icing on the cake was the crooked door handle. Absolutely terrible.Updating 12/28 as Lowes corrected the situation and rush ordered the replacement, correct door. It was unfortunate that someone needed to come out to validate our claims before they did so but overall we are very happy with the doors we purchased.

Avoid hiring Lowes to install anything in your house! It has been a nightmare. We hired Lowes to install 2 garage door openers not knowing they would be sending a third party company out. I didn’t have any issues with that but the third party company sent an installer that did NOT know what he was doing. He broke one of our brand new openers and somehow discovered there was supposedly missing pieces in the second box. Both of these boxes were new still sealed when this guy arrived. He then proceeded to tell me I needed to pay him cash to complete the work because he wasn’t told he would need to remove the old opener from one side (which I specifically asked the Lowes employee on if that would be an issue and was told not at all).. Then after he left I discovered he had been vaping in my garage. He did a very poor job and left wires exposed all over the place. He left wires wrapped around light bulbs.. didn’t pull the belt tight and I am pretty sure didn’t mount the opener to a stud. Both openers shake like crazy. He also proceeded to cut and tape together 2 wires and we specifically specified we did NOT want that done. He had no idea what he was doing and made a mess out of everything. Then when I called Lowes to tell them about this situation I was told I had no choice but to continue to go through the third party company to try and rectify the situation to which they have cancelled 3 different appointments to come out. It has been impossible to get someone here to fix the mess that was created by sending someone who simply did not know what they were doing. Lowes has been absolutely no help. I strongly advise to avoid hiring Lowes to install anything in your house because it will be a third party company and they will wash their hands of you as soon as you pay.. pictures were attached to show how bad of a job was done..

Bought a Greenworks Power Washer. Opened it to use it outside the 30 day return window. It was bad right out of the box. Employees couldn’t / wouldn’t do anything. Now I have to deal with the manufacturer on the phone and fight for endless hours to get a refund. I understand the employees have their hands tied by corporate policy- but to gleefully and rudely enforce a policy they know is flawed is a little silly. No more keeping the local hardware store floating. After I fight the manufacturer, I’ll go order one that works on Amazon.

**Update ended up running into a gentleman who noticed I was in need of help and wasn't skilled in plumbing but then found and brought over someone who was and we are extremely thankful for Charlie and Daves help.Asked for help, it was called and we waited 15 more minutes for no one to arrive. Found another employee who said they would be over. Never stopped an Isle over. If we didn't actually need the help we wouldn't be asking for it. Very frustrated for the all of help

Kathy, the Paint Manager, was absolutely amazing!!!BEST customer service I have had in a long time.She was kind, friendly, and provided fast efficient service. She apologized in regards to my wait time on hold when I called the day before I went back to the store. She listened to my questions with genuine concern. She told me her name and said to ask for her so I would not have to repeat my situation. She was very busy but did not ignore anyone. She was doing the job of 2 or three people and still had a smile on her face.If all Department Managers were like Kathy, this world would be a much better place to live.

We had ordered a butcher block countertop that was cracked. We came into returns and the managers were incredibly helpful and told us just to bring it in and they would reorder it for us. So we went home and grabbed it and brought it back. We then had a new person, Judy, process the return then rudely insist that they couldn’t reorder it for us after a manager told us they could. She argued with us for a couple minutes as we told her a manager literally told us 30 minutes earlier to do exactly what we were doing, but she didn’t seem to want to help or get us help. So I asked to speak with the manager we spoke to previously. She made a phone call, not asking for the manager but to tell the person on the other end of the line that it was impossible, when a manager finally came up front, AND ORDERED THE STINKING COUNTERTOP TIGHT THEN AND THERE. The managers were great, Judy on the other hand, seemed to have no customer service aptitude and no willingness to learn something new. I could not believe I had to Karen an employee Karen and ask for a manager.

Unlike too many stores, Lowes actually has people working on the floor and they are helpful. You never get told "That's not my department." The only downside of shopping here is that the only registers open are self serve. I don't work there. I don't get the employee discount to do a cashiers job.
