Today is Friday, April 5 2024 and I had to stop into Family Dollar for a few cleaning items as I was waiting in line. I noticed how rude the store manager was as she waited on the customer in front of me. ( Rosa Manager as her name tag stated) She denied the customer shopping bags for the items he purchased several times. Once done with his transaction I place my small red basket on the counter as my hands were full she then aggressively with a lot of attitude, dumped my items out on the counter ( they begin falling on the ground) she began ringing my items up and literally throwing them in a bag nothing was damaged Because it was only a few items, however, I proceeded with my purchase as I am seven months pregnant it took me a minute to grab my credit card and complete my transaction. Had I not been pregnant? I would have really considered retaliation. Because of the customer service I experienced was horrible but as I stated, my items weren’t damage, so I proceeded with the transaction and left. I thought about it the entire ride home and decided to call the store to contact a district manager I’ve then left a voicemail, and now I am leaving a review to whoever shops at this store to be mindful And slow to anger. This is my family dollar! I shopped here a lot. But after experiencing the manager I am so done with this store. My kids got so scared of her after she yelled at me for asking the sales items questions 2 times. I’ve been told from a few people not to go to this location because they’ve had bad experiences with the manager but I kept coming because I have not experienced anything yet until it finally happened. She will bark at you if you don’t talk the way she wanted/expect/asked. If you still shop at this place please be mindful when you talk the manager and you’ll be ok.

I been to this one several times. I have mixed feelings about it. The workers are usually nice to me. I'm moving back to that area soon I may be a frequent customer there again. Heck I may even see if I can work there part time

Store on Kalamazoo SE near 44th SE. On this recent visit, employees were restocking and their carts and boxes were blocking the shelves, too heavy for me to move. They're always restocking when I go there the few times I do. This store has nearly permanent "no cash back" policy at the cash register. Store clean but disheveled, snappy employees. Short staffed. The lady who was supposedly the boss was very rude to me, told me I needed to use their plastic bags and not my own reusable bags. I use a wheeled walker and I take the city bus as I can no longer drive. NO handicap (automated) entry/exit doors either, I struggled to get into that store. Even though this store is only about 1 mile from where I live, I won't go there again.

Today, my wife and i went to shop at this store and 1 of the worker she was treaded us like we are so dumb. She siad to us your are so stupid use your eyes to look etc...she raised her voice yelling at us. We are from a different country and doesn't speak English well. She was very rude to us. I would never go back there.

Upon entering Family Dollar, I was greeted with hello, how are you today; got what I went there for and cashier was noticeably quiet Professional and personable!!!

On Sunday January 10, 2021 I came to this location to make a return that I had made earlier that day from another Family Dollar location. EDNA (Dena) as she stated her name was. Who told me she was the Assistant Manager checked my bag upon entering the location because I set the security alarm off. As she begin to check my bag she stated that the basket that I had in the bag was not theirs and was not an item Family Dollar stores stocked. Unfortunately I didn’t have the original tags that were attached to the item but did in fact have my receipt which displayed the item sku and serialized information. After she stated this wasn’t an item of this locations I asked if it was possible for her to call another location to verify the basket. She in fact refused and told me that I would have to go back to that location. I also asked her, if a manager could assist me with this? She then told me it’s not worth her calling her manager while she’s at home and that I should leave her store. I have shopped Family Dollar for a long time and also held corporate positions in retail. I believe Edna lacks professionalism and respect for others and I will be sure to share this to let others know she does not represent the company well. I was able to make the return from the original location who’s staff was extremely helpful and apologized on Edna’s behalf and they in fact mentioned that Family Dollar is not a franchise so items purchased at one location can be returned at another as long as the items are unused. (Which in fact mine was) I know I didn’t walk into Saks Fifth or Neimans but I do feel wherever I shop i should be able to do so with respect.

I’ve went to this establishment at least 20 times and it is closed. When they should be open. Went today at 5pm on a Thursday. Multiple people inside and closed. You might as well close this location down at this point. You lose so much money on it being “closed”. I think your employees are taking advantage at this point.

Beyond rude here! Bad vibe as soon as I walked in the door. Asked the clerk "does family dollar do cash back" she answered with flat NO, with attitude. I asked does family dollar do cash back? I didn't ask if you guys could do cash back ..... 44th an kazoo

02/10/2023-Today we went to that shop / It was 9:00 in the morning / When we arrived at the shop, it was not open yet / A worker came to the shop / He had the key to the shop / The shop did not open the door / Their shop sign also said that it opens at 9:00 every day / I asked her / I asked her to wait for 10 minutes/ But her shop opened at 9:20 / I tried to wrap it to buy a sound speaker in the shop / She said I couldn’t wrap it / I apologized / I asked her / I bought it, can I return it if it's broken?/She said no/So I asked how I can buy it/She got angry and called the police/Should she treat customer like this?/I feel like it's racial power/Because other people look at it the same way/She didn't say anything/I think that is not right.I will never go again in my life😁😁😁😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Waited in car but last visit there got left there and he never came in told me to go in and bring my backpack with then pick out gloves cause mone were missin then took off and lady at counter was yelling at me like i had to give her my back pack i said yeah right i got 20 thousand worth of medical supplies on me never he just took off with my colonoscopy medicine and i needed to buy laxatives u have to drink a agallon prescription2 then take few laxatives at certain times before procedure and he took off with that and that girl wanted my back pack haha funny
