I always go out of my way to come to this family dollar. The staff is always very very friendly and helpful. I was extremely touched when the employee, Amanda, offered to help me carry my case of water to the car. I thought she was going to ask the male manager to do it but, she wanted to help me herself. That made my day.I read a lot of negative reviews about the parking lot, machines, and random people outside of the store. When we go to eat out and our server brings out the food but, it’s not made the way we asked. In that situation, we don’t blame the server because she didn’t make the food. This applies to the negative complaints here. The staff is not in charge of what the parking lot looks like, the machines/apps not working and certainly no control over the people who decide to stand outside the store; a public place. Please have some grace on the staff for things they can’t control.

Unfortunately this is my neighborhood family dollar. Which should be a convenient thing however it’s actually more of an inconvenience. There’s ALWAYS something going on wrong here. From their doors saying cash only, to their Apple / tap to pay not working, and to them closing early.The amount of times I’ve come here and they’ve not been open within their posted hours or because they don’t accept cards is ridiculous.

Yikes, this is beyond sketchy. In the parking lot was a van with a crying baby left alone inside. Inside was a begging man asking for cash only about 15 feet from the cashier. It looks like they put security stickers on nearly everything. Felt uncomfortable going even in the middle of the day.

Staff is actually super friendly. Never had a rude employee. Otherwise I'd give 3 stars. The isles are always full of stuff and rarely stocked properly. A lot of items tend to not ring up properly. There's sketchy people hanging out front a lot. The staff doesn't do anything about people illegally parking in the disabled spots. The parking lot is atrocious. But again, it's hard to find decent, friendly customer service.

I'm at this establishment quite frequently. It has really cleaned up since I started coming here. They have almost anything you can think of. The staff are always respectful and polite. I would recommend this establishment to all and I will continue to shop here.

Depressed economic neighbourhoods are where they set up shop then charge huge mark-up prices. This particular FD store is managed very poorly: shelves poorly stocked, the floor is dirty and sticky, no restrooms.All in all a good store to avoid. Chain wide.

High prices with limited selections. Some nice food items, but they are very slow to get stock ordered and even slower to put them on the shelves.

Lacks experienced staff, store doesn't open on time. Store policies not consistent with other Family Dollar franchises.If you are a walking neighborhood type shopper, understand you will most likely be confronted at the door and told you must surrender your backpack or other shopping type bags.I am this type shopper, I choose to walk everywhere it is feasible. I never open my backpack in a store for any reason. Nevertheless, with cameras everywhere, they still demand I surrender the pack. Anyone who is watching can request the return of that pack without any identification. An inexperienced, rushed cashier will hand it over.Do this; get a luggage tag. Create a QC code with two short number or letter combinations that can only be found on two pieces of your identification. When you surrender your belongings tell them not to surrender your pack until it can be identified.They will be confused at first, it will take a minute extra, most people in line will understand what you are doing real fast. The staff will remember you and your belongings.

For a dollar store in a less than stellar part of town, it isn't bad. Sometimes it is messy and sometimes the cashiers are slow. But, it is close to downtown and the staff has never been rude and I've never been made uncomfortable by any other customers.

This is by far one the Worst family dollar stores in the city of GR.. the staff is always rude the lines are always long to get checked out..they never have product lots of out stocks. It's Never neat or clean stuff all over the place even on the floors.. they can never seem to keep people working there but I'm sure it's because of very poor management which this store has always had. Can't believe it's even still open.

Im giving this store a 0-1star because the store is always Massey with this everywhere and when costumers enter with a bag there asked to put there bag behind a the counter or on a counter do thay know that hold them accountable for anything that's missing out of the personal bag of the customer i just. Dont understand if you're having a problem with property theft in your store it should hire security not ask people to put their property behind or on your counters because there's nothing stating or posted on the store that I have to order the customers put there things on there counter s customers have to do that

Some of the cashiers are very very rude and when they dont want to fill the cooler with beer they deside to not take the empty bottles cuz they are to lazy to do it. They sell it they should take them back. If you dont want to take them deside a time your not going to take them not because your to lazy and dont want to take care of them. Get it togeather.

Cashier refused to honor a $10 coupon from their mobile app. ironically this app is the other way to actually get coupons family Dollar. The worst part about the whole experience is being called a liar find a cashier, then accused of fraud. So much for trying to be thrifty

Employees constantly leave early, making it hard to actually go when they’re openIs it even a family dollar if there isn’t a line wrapping around the store? Literally amazes me at how it’s every time. Going here is a waste of time.

Nice place. Clean and priced well. Nice staff BUT it's near a school so in the afternoon the kids come rushing in. Also sometimes "homeless looking" people come in from time to time.

You say your open at 7, but don't open until 12: 30 & they closed the store at 8:50 & never came back & said the store will open at 9:00 am. Is this a new way of running a business?

bought an electronic from them and they did not want to give me back my money they said there was no read from electronics but the cashier didn't tell me that when I purchased it and I already bought another speaker from another store so family Dollar really sucks to buy anything from especially electronics
