Had no choice but highlight one star just so I can leave my review. I wouldn't give any stars. First and last time going to the Dollar Tree on 1006- S. Division, Grand Rapids MI Big pile of rotting food and garbage right next to the entrance. I'm sending the pictures I took of it to corporate. The parking lot and sidewalk are filthy and full of trash. People are not particularly friendly either. Never again.

Came yesterday at 8:00 am. Sign says open at 8, and the open sign on. I left at 8:20, lights were on inside but I didn't see anybody and the doors were locked. A lot of people were waiting by 8:20, I don't know if they ever got in. I also wish they would stock the soda everyday, it is empty within a couple days of stocking, then it sits empty for the rest of the week, sometimes more.

It's a very nice convenience store as far as I'm concerned it's affordable for the people that don't have a lot of money, And don't want to pay out the rear end. Thank you!

This is my favorite location to stop. The employees are friendly and efficient on register, and the store is well-organized and restocked as needed. I tend to find some really cool and unique "gems" here, including a rare Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts collectible movie book, vegetarian meal replacements, Cold Brew coffee, amazing and quality crafting supplies, decor, etc. They also have a lot of healthy and gluten free snack options!

For being on Division this is a fantastic dollar tree. Normally they're stocked better than they were on my last visit, but the staff are all super friendly. I never feel rushed and I always feel valued as a customer and that's hard to find nowadays. Especially at a dollar tree. I woukd highly recommend this location over SEVERAL others.

This Dollar Tree is always clean and the staff is very friendly. The aisles are nice and wide. They always have the products well stocked. I go in there knowing what I need and leave with the products I needed plus quite a few things I didn't. Because they have so many seasonal and holiday items I can't resist.

I was walking up to the entrance ten minutes before closing time. An employee locked the door in front of me like I wasn't there. Only a few seconds later a customer inside of the store tried to leave and couldn't, so the employee had to come back to let them out. This time they acknowledged me, at least, and shouted "We're closed!" through the glass door. That same door had a message printed on it: "This door to remain unlocked during business hours". Maybe if people had the good sense to not lock-in their customers just to get out of work a few minutes early then we wouldn't need as many signs like that.

This store has come a long way. Trina was very nice and helpful. Before when I went in there were boxes all over no product on the shelves and not so friendly customer service. The floors were nasty and there was open products on the shelves...which is not their fault but it wasn't up to par. I remember asking a manager if they were hiring and he said no! Really....I just had to open a box to get what I came in for because it had not been unpacked yet. I went in three days that week and the store was the same way everytime. I couldn't even maneuver my cart in the store...I left and went somewhere else. I understand the struggles of working retail...I did it for 10+ years. Loss prevention...peoples attitudes...etc. So I understand but there were some things that were not acceptable. Eating in front of customers, smoking in the front of the building, and crappy customer service just to name a few. I'm glad to see this store has may some major adjustments. I just hope it continues in that direction.

No holiday cheer no emotions what's so ever usually pleased to be shopping in this store but no urge to want to come back to this dollar tree when I asked if they had an item quick no response yet I looked and found they did have it very unhappy and I love the dollar tree I will go out of my way for a better dollar tree won't be back ☹️ to this one

This was my first time in this location and my last! This place is filthy, the employees stocking shelves had the isles blocked making it hard to shop. After picking up a few itrms I was ready to fly right out of here! The Cashier was nice but that’s about it as far as a pleasant shopping experience.

I attempted to shop at this particular establishment when upon entering demanded by an unprofessional rude disrespectful sales associate named Shaunda who I found out to be the store manager demanding that I leave my personal belongs at the counter.Upon discussing the issue with her that it is NOT corporate policy that I be required to do so.Upon requesting her name as well as to speak to the manager and requesting her to spell her name because it was an unusual name she REFUSED to provide those reasonable basic questions except to say that she is the manager.She also REFUSED to provide the store number, address, her district managers name and the phone number of the store which she said that she don't even know.I left the store and proceeded to call the corporate office to file a formal complaint of this incident after I was able to get the information from the website.I spoke to a customer service agent who put me in touch with a district manager from another branch of the company. He forwarded the issue to the district manager of that location named Rhonda.Rhonda called me the next day to informed me that it was her discretion on what stores she requires customers to leave their personal belongings at the counter.When I mentioned about women not having to leave their purses, large or small, people with diaper bag, strollers, or over size winter jackets are NOT required to leave those items at the counter.She agreed that they do not require those people to leave those items at the counter when I have my personal belongs in my backpack i.e. wallet, medications, legal documents. Then who is liable or responsible if they gave someone's personal belongings to someone else or if the employee decides to take some items for themselves?After discussing my displeasure with her handling the issue and condoning it, I requested that the Regional Manager name Nick get in touch with me to raise my issues with him to which he has NOT done and it has been over 6 weeks since the incident.As a customer we are the ones that makes the company succeed or fail in how you treat your customers to have a memorable experience with the business so that they will return.I will NOT and I will NEVER leave my personal belongs at the counter or do my business with a company that requires customers to leave them.I understand that they are trying to reduce theft but I feel that there's other options that can be used to prevent some of the theft so that you do not alienate your customers in a negative way like you have with me, you will NEVER stop it or reduce it by leaving personal belongs at the counter. I'm sure there's many ways to steal.
