This dollar general store is lazy and disgusting, the store aisles are always cluttered and disorganized, the shelves are poorly stocked, the register to pay for your items only has 1 employee running the cash register even though their is clearly 2 cash registers available at all times but only 1 in use. Some of the male employees are rude as hell but the female employees are very nice

Very littered and disgusting ! Needs to revamp of management and employees if they don’t to get with program ! Bridge st is looking nicer all surrounding this building many do a good job keeping their stores cleaned ! DG don’t require employees to keep store clean?! Be best if this one closes !

The customer service is trash just like the employees. My father just left and informed me of the horrible customer service he received from a worker there. Didn't get a name. Description is male African American gotta be in his twenties or early thirties not sure exact height but he was over 6ft. If you don't want to be kind to the customers while your working. Find another job. Simple. Learn proper and good customer service! It's not nice to treat people like garbage when they are only trying to shop for the stuff they need/want. Please do better.

You can't even get a cart to use at this Store. Plus it literally takes WEEKS to restock refrigerated items.

This store was filthy I'm talking the whole store floor looked like some one shook up a bottle of soda and sprayed it thru out the entire store empty boxes and items left everywhere on the floor to trip over and the snotty little girl that was supposedly working put the icing on the I will never shop in here again and if your reading this and youve been in here you know what im talking about and you also should choose a diffent store to shop And will be calling the managers today store and district

This place is always a hot mess. They try so hard but the people that enter this store make it trash. The don't put things back where they got them and they littler the store with trash from stolen items. They have great staff just not enough when it matters

There was so much stuff everywhere that were on carts and on the floors needing to be taken care of. You couldn't even make it into some of the isles because of all the stock everywhere blocking multipleisles. It was a friday that I had went in for a few items. The shelves were extremely poorly kept up and I almost walked out of the store without even making a purchase. I've never seen a store this bad in my entire life. In the past it wasn't this bad.

It's a real hit or miss when you walk into this store. It's not kept very organized or clean but it is almost always stocked with items. The hit and miss is the most prevalent when you deal with the workers in this store. Some are really helpful and kind and others seem rather lazy and would wish themselves anywhere else if they had the power. I do like the convenience when I need it most. But I'm also not too worried about driving a little farther and going to a different store.

Love the location and how close it is to where I live. The store usually has what I'm looking for but it is not normally stocked well. The store isn't dirty but definitely needs more workers to straighten things up. The few workers that are there are very friendly and helpful.

They do have great prices on some items. But every Dollar General that I have been in here in the Grand Rapids area has been dirty, disheveled, and there cashier's are very unprofessional. So if possible don't go there unless you're desperate. Family Dollar is much better.

Horrible location, the managers don't have a clue, and I think one might be on drugs, cause she messed my card up and their registers up. She kept sniffing and talking and moving real fast. Had no knowledge of how things worked terrible service. Plus the place is a pig sty stuff is everywhere and it looks and smells dirty. Do not go to this location if you don't have to

Dirty store; disorganized, to say the least. Rude employees; there is always a wait. You're on their time. I have been told to wait, so they could finish conversating about life, amongst themselves. Both behind the counter, doing a whole lot of nothing. Two stars because, they carry a large variety of items.

Been going there for years until a few weeks ago when a new employee (large blonde woman) was extremely rude and disrespectful when walking in....apparently I had missed a small hand written sign on the door saying they were closing at 8pm that day. It was 8:01 pm and they are supposed to be open until nine. She yells at me in the most snotty way "we're closed!!" Never ever going there or any other dollar General again. I'll gladly go out of my way to go to family dollar from now on. Very unprofessional!

I was planning on shopping here for a few toiletries and a cable needed for my computer. According to Google Maps, they close at 10pm every day. We were just walking up to the entrance and a staff member said they were closed. Mind you, this is at 9:38pm, about 20 minutes before their advertised closing time. Unacceptable. After investigating, Dollar General's website says they close at 9pm. They need to update Google Maps.

I would advise people NOT to go to THIS Dollar General. I went there just to see if I could get change for a twenty dollar bill. So I wasn't sure if they'd just give me change or if if have to buy something, so I grab a pop and jump in line. There's two guys in front of me. The cashier finishes with the one guy, he used a credit card. So he leaves, then she tells the next guy to hold on a minute she'll be right back. So what she does is, she takes a set of keys, opens her drawer and takes a hundred dollar bill out. Goes to the back of the store (I'm thinking she's getting change for her drawer) and comes back with nothing. So I'm thinking, well that's pretty weird, but whatever. So she rings up the dude in front of me, he used a credit card.So now it's my turn. Remember, I went there because I needed change for my TWENTY dollar bill. So my total was $1.85. I hand her ONE bill, the twenty I walked in with. This b word hands me back fifteen cents and closes the drawer. So,I was like um you owe me $18 dollars. She replies, with an attitude, um no I don't. I said yes you do, and I look at the receipt she gave me, and it says I gave her two dollars. So I said you need to go get your manager because I'm NOT leaving without my money. So the manager and another girl ate in the back yelling at a guy kicking him out. Supposedly he stole something. But after my experience,I doubt he did. Any ways. The manager comes to the register asks what wrong. So I explained it to her. The manager asks the cashier, did she give you a twenty dollar bill? That woman flat out lies and said no she didn't, but I don't remember. And the whole time, this cashier had just got the biggest shittiest attitude about the whole thing.So I said to the manager, look lady you can open that drawer and I can show you which exact one is mine. Because first off, it'd be the one right on top, secondly,I had that bill all folded up all small from just playing with it, so it's wrinkled like crazy. Manager says, well I'm going to have to go look on the camera. I said, go for it, do whatever you have to do because I'm NOT leaving until I get MY money. So they go in their little office, watch the video, and she comes out and says, yup you gave her a twenty. I was like well yea,I know that, now can I have my Damn change. So she gives me the &18 dollars, and asks if there's anything else I need, like was that all they owed me. I said well actually you still owe me fifteen cents, because remember I have THAT back. So she tried to give it to me, and I said look, that b**** needed money so bad, so she can just have that fifteen cents and I walked out. I told the manager that they need to do a bit more thorough back ground check on THAT girl, because how many other people had she already done this same thing to? So do not go to this dollar General. They're rude as Hell, try to rip people off of their hard earned money, and the place is just disgusting all together. And yes,I did call the corporate office and let them know ALL about the whole situation. I really hope she got fired. She has NO business dealing with people's money because all she's doing is robbing people.

I went shopping here the day before yesterday, Monday an it was a s#@t show to say the least. It was about 1:30 in the afternoon and there was a woman who was saying phrases such as, "security is in the house" and was very...ghetto frankly. I'm not sure why this random lady (an i use the word lady loosely) took it upon herself to scare little children but it was disturbing.

The Dollar General on stocking is pretty much the worst place in the universe. The vast majority of employees don't realize that it is more important to move customers through the line when it is ten people long than perform other menial tasks like returning unbought items to the shelves. If the prices weren't solid, I'd like to believe that nobody would ever go here. I leave the Dollar General on Stocking wanting to murder someone most days.

Lots of great deals. Just make sure you check out size of package. Some things may appear to be a better deal but are smaller sized. Usually able to get in and out.

I go to Dollar General very often and it has most of everything I need but a couple of the people that work there are very rude and the store is always messy and unorganized. And they are not vey helpful when it comes to looking for specific things. I think they can do way better

I am on a fix income. And I would go into that store. Every month and spin 40 to $50 or more. Wow shopping there are customer service watching you. To make sure you're not stealing. The last time I was there I was harassed. Because I spoke up concerning. Constantly being watched. I was called out of my name. Totally unprofessional And a speaking up. I was told not to come back into the store. This is not the only Dollar General. Store in Grand Rapids, Michigan, so I no longer spend any money there. My suggestion two African Americans stay away from this store. Because your business is not appreciated.

I love DG for their selection and smaller sized stores. I can find what I need quickly and this West wide location is no exception. Friendly staff!
