We were in need of a new vet and found Cascade Hospital for Animals. Our first visit was a success. The facility was clean and every staff member was friendly and answered all of our questions. You can tell the staff all loves animals.We haven't had an emergency situation yet, but I am confident they will be able to handle it.

This Veterinarian is amazing. The service and care for animals is unlike any place we have been in the Grand Rapids area. We have lived here for over 50 years and have never been treated so well. We absolutely love how they are proactive and compassionate about everything. The entire staff was just incredible. We just had our first appointment here and we are now going to call them our doctor for our beautiful Roxy! We could tell she felt safe. Thank you!

We had a dental emergency for our dog and our usual vet wasn't able to accommodate us. Not only was Cascade able to fit us in, they spent a lot of time on the phone with me talking through my concerns and helping to alleviate my dog's pain and discomfort leading up to the surgery. During and after the surgery, all of the medical staff, especially Tori, did an amazing job making sure we understood what was going on and took amazing care of our dog. Cascade was there for us during a really stressful time and did an amazing job and we're excited to use their services for all of our pets moving forward.

I have been bringing my beloved pets to Cascade Hospital for Animals for over 30 years. I highly recommend them. From what I understand, they may be slightly more expensive than some other clinics, but they are professionals that offer exceptional service. The prices always seem fair to me. I have also utilized their grooming services.

We have been bringing our cat and two dogs to Cascade/Breton Village for around three years now and have had such a great experience overall. I always feel like I am getting things explained in detail to me regarding procedures and costs, and that my pets are getting the best care possible. They provide really helpful estimates with breakdowns of charges for larger procedures and dental work. We have run into some health issues recently with two of our pets and it prompted me to leave this review due to how great the entire team has been, from the front desk to vet techs to doctors.We recently learned that our four year old mixed breed dog tore her ACL and needs an intensive surgery to get her back up to speed. It was hard news to hear, but I felt like Dr. Clayton Siegle and the team did a great job of giving us all the info we needed to make an informed decision. He was very friendly and positive.We also had to bring our cat in for a dental cleaning and extractions yesterday. I felt like she was in amazing hands with Dr. Maia Godfrey, who also was very kind and open in speaking with me. She let me know I could call at any time to check on our cat. We had to remove more teeth than I had hoped, but Dr. Godfrey explained the situation to me and her recommendation, which made me feel like it was the right decision. If we hadn’t brought our cat in for this dental procedure, I would’ve never known how much pain she was in. Really excited to see her bounce back in a few days.Overall, it’s been three years of positive interactions and top notch care for our pets. It’s an empathetic, knowledgeable team. I see in some reviews complaints about cost, but I never feel any pressure or get unnecessary procedures recommended like I have had with other vets in the past. It’s honest, quality care for the three most important little beings in my life.

The BEST vet experience I’ve ever had! Cascade Hospital for Animals was wonderful and if I could give them more stars I would. I brought one of my girls in for a wellness visit and to update some of her vaccinations. This was our first time in and we were greeted so nicely, checked in quickly, and seen immediately. Augie was our vet tech and he was very kind and thorough. Dr. Schaffer was our veterinarian and she was wonderful and very efficient! The exam itself only took a couple of minutes and we accomplished all that we need to. I cannot wait to bring my other dogs in to see Dr. Schaffer and her team! Thank you for making this a great experience! (Especially coming from someone who hates trying new experiences!)

Knowledgeable staff, vet techs and doctors are just a phone call away. Multiple separate rooms at the center for cats and dogs. Surgical suites, prescription food supply, leashes, treats and more are available in the store section. They have separate entrances for cats and dogs to keep the peace. Ample parking and a dedicated rewards program. What more could you ask for.

We love CHFA! The veterinary industry has been hurting and short-staffed, and over the past four years that I've been coming here, I have seen consistency in compassion, care, and expertise despite these hardships. Costs are fair for the industry and the quality of care is outstanding.My dog has pretty bad anxiety and gets quite nervous when we have to get pokes. I brought her in for her most recent visit in a basket muzzle and let the client care associate know she was nervous, and they immediately placed us into a private exam room - without making us feel bad about her muzzle. The staff was quick and efficient, and they even made a little note in her discharges to let me know how 'brave' she was. Thank you for this; it means a lot when dealing with such a nervous dog!

I brought one of our dogs (Rockne) in to have him checked for a respiratory issue. Dr Godfrey and an assistant did a great job diagnosing his problem.They were professional, courteous, thorough and terrific interacting with Rockne. The whole staff is always great to work with!

My husband and I were in the process of moving our animals abroad and our pet shipper made a few mistakes that caused our animals to be delayed. Cascade Animal Hospitals International Travel Team has been absolutely amazing in helping us to get our animals ready to travel. I've mostly been in communication with Katelyn and she has been so organized, helpful and so patient answering all of my questions. She has been truly amazing! Due to our animals not being able to travel with us, my husband and I had to call into our dogs appointment and the staff was friendly, so organized and they made sure we had all of our questions answered. Our dog has safely arrived in Japan and we wouldn't have been able to do it without them. We are so thankful for Cascade Animal Hospital and their staff!

Some of the procedures and tests are a little bit more expensive but it's worth it due to the relationship between Breton village animal hospital and Cascade hospital for animals. Consistently very good quality care.

We've been going to Cascade for a little over a year and had several vets that were passable but we were looking for another clinic as the experiences weren't what we wanted for our two dogs. We decided we would finish up the last round of our new puppy's shots and randomly got Dr. Nicholas Vito as our vet. He TOTALLY changed our minds and exceeded our expectations. He was personable, friendly, good with both dogs, and respected our decisions regarding our dogs health. Not sure about all the other vets, but if you are planning to go to Cascade or have been going and are not that happy, try requesting Dr. Vito and you won't regret it.

I am here to say that the staff was friendly, however... we had our pet 'Bella's' records sent a week ahead so the staff would be informed as to what we were looking for in acupuncture treatment, including x-rays. No one at Cascade Hospital for Animals was aware of these records arriving when we arrived today. There was zero preparation, and we went though endless questions describing the issue, when we had also been interviewed on the phone prior. Additional charges on our bill today is $157.50 for 'Initial exam and consultation'. Absorbent. A call was made to our vehicle, as we waited outside, to say they need even more information to treat. After a short discussion, suddenly the treatment was now mysteriously complete, while we were on the phone. We were called in to pay. The bill was $282.50. in addition, ongoing weekly treatments would be almost $1000 per month. WE will not be returning. We love our pets and will go far to and willing to go the extra mile for their health, but Not here.

They are thorough, reasonably priced, and offer a wide variety of services. They are one of the few vet establishments which offers laser therapy. The vet nurses are kind, and well trained. The vets are veryKnowledgeable. They excel beyond other vet clinics!!! Luv them!

My husband and I recently had to have our companion of 15 years PTS due to old age and cancer. Kane was his name. Dr Able, was the kindest, most compassionate veterinarian, as well as caring friend, during this truly hard time for us. I am a big fan of Cascade. I would highly recommend all of the veterinarians and staff due to the care my three dogs have received and the end of life treatment that our family received as well. Thank you!!!

Truly I can tell the team here cares about my dog and getting to know her. When I called last time to make an appointment they knew exactly who she was and she's only been a patient less than a year! It means a lot to a pet owner when they visit a clinic and their dog isn't just another dog, and that's how I feel going to Cascade with her. Absolutely the BEST veterinary clinic in Grand Rapids. Our dog was bit and instead of bringing us in just to tell us he’s okay and sending a bill, they investigated pictures, told us what to watch for, and when we should be concerned.He is completely fine and healing. Our dog has also gotten a semi-major surgery through them and when he became infected they took him overnight, cleaned and restitched, and even covered some of the additional fees. I have always felt they give the BEST service, they are very bright, well organized, and kind. Feels like a place that hires the best of the best in the Grand Rapids area. In a day where customer service is almost becoming a thing of the past… this place goes above and beyond. There pricing isn’t low but it’s competitive and fair. We have never felt they are trying to make a buck off of a bad situation for us. We trust them with our furbaby’s life… what more could you ask for?

We recently brought our rescue dog, Auri, in to the Breton Village Animal Clinic for her first visit. We were blown away by the care she received from Dr. Vito and the staff at this location! The entire staff made sure Auri was at ease through the appointment, and strived to make her first visit a positive experience for her. They were very knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome. We are so happy we chose to bring our dog to this office!

I have retained the staff services of Cascade Hospital for Animals for 11years in the care of three Golden Retrievers. CFA staff has teated all three dogs for many different needs. They are experts in their craft for whatever the need and treat the animals as if they belonged to them while holding the hands of the owners through all the various things that happen to our pets. They have a passion for their work and strive for the best outcomes of their work.
