Terrible service. We waited 6 weeks to have our 3 dogs groomed and they never wrote the appointment down. Lydia set up the appointed and was rude and dismissive when she realized her mistake. Will never bring our melts there again. My husband had to trim them up after each groom as well.

We recently brought our girl in here for a nail trim because her vets office had temporarily closed due to COVID, and she needed a nail trim badly but refuses to let us do it ourselves. Typically she’s very hard to do nail trims on and turns into a whole different dog, but when we brought her in here, Glen did a great job at helping her stay calm, and our girl reacted the best I’ve ever seen her react when it comes to nail trims! It was also a bit cheaper than having the vet do it, and unlike at the vet, I was even able to go back with her and stand by her side through the whole thing, excited to start coming here regularly! I could tell is was much less stressful on our dog than having her go in alone at her regular veterinarians office ❤️ (Photo was taken after we left, happy doggo!)

It's always a struggle to find a solid cat groomer, and ironically enough, I was able to find a great one at 'Canine' Designs. Lydia was super friendly, professional and kind when it came to grooming my lil senior kitty, who's a bit anxious about the whole process. She was also super quick, and got us in first thing in the morning, before the shop got busier with dogs and other appointments. Happy to say I've found a good spot in GR! Will definitely be going back. :)

We had been bringing our dog here for months several times with no issues at all and all of a sudden we bring him and the price increased because “he wasn’t the best well behaved” even though he’s been going here his whole life and they’ve never had an issue before. Tried to get some money back and wasn’t able to. After reading some other reviews I see the issue is that they have new management who clearly doesn’t 100% know what they’re doing when it comes to grooming, pricing & scheduling.

Do not give these people your business. Attached is a photo for the serious cut our Golden received during his grooming. Upon contacting the owner they blamed US because he had mats behind his ears. Very rude and condescending owner. Offered no compensation for the cut, and our dog needs to go to the vet. Horrible establishment.

Terrible choice for your dog. The owners have now retired and are "renting" their grooming tables to a rag tag team of groomers- the one that groomed our dogs today said: "I've been a groomer for 9 months"...Last week my wife dropped our Dogs off at 8:00am. They were supposed to be ready at Noon. They weren't ready until 6:00pm. Ridiculous. Not sure which that was harder on- our Dogs to my Wife. To add insult to injury, when we picked up the dogs they were hardly trimmed- nothing like they usually are (pre-owners leaving). So bad it didn't even look like they were groomed. I called the owner and scheduled a "re-do". Groomer admitted they hadn't cut the dogs right. Today my wife dropped them off at 9:00am and once again with a promise of a Noon pick-up they still weren't done until 3:00pm. When I picked them up I was prepared to give the girl a tip for her efforts in "re-grooming" the dogs. Instead, she said: "Since this was a full groom, you need to pay the full price". I looked at her and shook my head... Too bad there isn't an option for giving No Stars here. Dog Owners Beware. This is not the same place it used to be.

I have been taking my dogs here for years to get their nails trimmed. Glen is the epitome of patience, and compassion toward dogs.My 8 month old puppy was extremely afraid, and he talked her right through it, while trimming all 18 nails, on those wiggly puppy 🐾 paws!I also appreciate that they take walk-ins for nail trims!

Everyone is so friendly. They really love on my dog. She is so happy when I pick her up after being groomed. They groom her exactly how I requested. The business is bright and clean. You can watch the groomers thru windows and all the dogs are calm. I love this place!

We have been taking our dogs here for a couple of years - and Glenn & Vicki always do a great job - quickly and efficiently.We just got a cat (not by choice) who has long hair. The person who had the cat was not caring for her properly and her hair was all matted - all over its body. Impossible to brush out and very unhealthy and uncomfortable for the cat.Our vet quoted $250 to shave the cat (included putting her out). We called our friends at Canine Design and they said to bring her in. We did and the kitty was shaved (Leo cut), cleaned up and out the door happy and with minimal drama in just a few minutes.I swear the owner Glenn is a cat whisperer - because he just picked the cat up by the scruff of her neck (and she is a nasty cat) like her mama did and she immediately calmed down and did what he wanted. Magic.

A visit to Canine Design will be a real treat for your dog or cat! The owners, Vickie and Glenn are extremely knowledgeable about dogs and treat my animals as their own. Our cocker spaniel is groomed by Marcia and he absolutely loves to go to her. When we are traveling to their place and he realizes where we are, he becomes so excited and can't wait to get inside. We often walk in with matting and he always leaves gorgeous and sweet smelling.I've had 3 dogs now who have been groomed by these people and in every case, the dogs were happy to return. It's obvious they have a good time while there and they prance around when they come home, knowing that they look good.If you're looking for a groomer, I highly recommend Canine Design. You will receive outstanding treatment and and quality pet grooming.

Took my poodle there for the 16 years he was with us. The owner's are great people and my dog loved going there everytime. They always gave me advice when I asked questions. Told me any concerns they noticed on him. Especially when it came to his ears. He was prone to ear infections and anytime they looked to be getting infected they let me know as soon as I picked him up. I have known these people for years. They cut him any way I asked. Very nice to work with especially when I had to work early they would let me drop him off earlier and all I did was call when I was out to see if he was done. Or I would get a very nice/silly voicemail he was ready. Never once did I have bad service and I would recommend them to anyone. If I decide to get another dog in the future I will not hesitate to bring them there.

Staff was friendly but I've had different experiences. They do a good job grooming our dogs but the last time we had one of our dogs there they had him for 6 hours and they still were not done with him. They apologized and said they overbooked.

I absolutely love bringing my sweet Yorkie here. Everyone is always upbeat and welcoming, even if it's chaos in the back. They take the time to listen to what I want and make sure I'm happy with the end result. My puppy isn't scared or shaking at drop off or pick up which is so incredibly reassuring to this fur mama! 💜

We had our bernadoodle groomed there, upon returning home he had terrible red irritation on his stomach and groin area. Over the next couple of days it got much worse. We contacted the owner Vicki who first off was incredibly rude, accusatory and nothing like a business owner. She tried blaming us for what was going on with our dog and said I should have contacted them even sooner for a home remedy aka witch hazel... tried that for two days and it continued getting worse. I took him to the vet today because he isn’t eating or drinking water and is just laying around (totally unlike him) and guess what? he has a skin infection!Vicki told me that they don’t clean their blades in between dogs, but daily. Gross. Bottom line, my dog was just fine prior to going to Canine Design and came home with an infection from them clipping him to short creating an abrasion. $350 dollar vet bill, steroids and antibiotics. $85 dollars for a hack job. I even specifically asked they don’t cut him like a poodle, what does he look like? A poodle. DO NOT take your pet here. Horrible customer service and rude owner.

Love this place! They are so gentle and kind. I started coming to them when they were recommended by our vet for nail trimming. They accommodate my crazy schedule and they truly take great care of my precious pups. Very worth checking out.

My pit bull HATES getting her nails trimmed. These people know exactly how to handle her. She squirms and tries to jump off the table and they are always super sweet to her and just talk so nice to her. Most times, one of the other employees will walk over and distract her with lots of petting and encouragement while the owner trims her nails. Then she gets loads of affection when they are done. I have NEVER had anything close to a negative experience here. If your looking for very professional animal lovers to service your pet, look no further.

Do NOT use Canine Design if you want your dog groomed in a specific way. They do not like to be questioned, and will not fix anything you may not be happy with. Used to be a good place, but they have a serious issue with anyone who questions their work, and don't mind their employees being rude to customers.

Vicki and her husband are so good to my dog. I have a Llaha Opso who is VERY difficult to handle and HATES his grooming. Vicky and her husband take such good care of him and he always comes home looking perfect despite the fact that he probably trys to bite them the entire time. When I apologize for his behavior they just say he is not so bad when do you want to bring him in?? I love them!!!Marie
