Honestly, Bill & Paul's is such a fantastic place. Every time I go in I get treated with A+ customer service and knowledge. The staff is the best part about the place, that's without question. Heather took the time to make sure I was taken care of and absolutely went ABOVE & BEYOND with her level of customer service standards and practices. This is a fantastic team member and ANY business would be lucky to have her. Also, I want to make sure I mention Jim as well. He was extremely professional and was able to help fix my ski pole in minutes! If you haven't been to Bill & Paul's Sporthaus yet, then you are missing out!

Excellent customer service from Isaac today as we searched for some new ski boots! Extremely knowledgeable about all the different specifications and lining up our ski styles with the proper boots. Would recommend this shop for anyone looking for a ski or snowboard setup in West Michigan!

Had my first experience at Bill & Paul’s, and I’d definitely go back. Marsh went through all the different hiking boot options with me, and was super knowledgeable and friendly. And while exploring the rest of the store, staff regularly checked on us. I think I finally found an outdoor store that knows what they’re talking about, and that offers a great experience! I’ll definitely be back.

I just started snowboarding last Saturday and I found that I really like it! Instead of struggling with online shopping I went to the store yesterday and surprisingly got everything that I want! And they are all on sale! I am so thrilled and satisfied by their service and kindness! Especially Ron! He helped me with helmet, goggles, snowboard, snowboarding boots and bindings! He explained everything, answered all my questions. I had the best shopping experience in there and I am definitely going to get more stuff from there!

Great place for downhill and cross country ski equipment. Kayaks and climbing gear and Frisbee golf and pet supplies and camping gear all here too. Excellent program for getting kids to ski with modern rental equipment for the whole year.

Great selection and customer service! I came in just to browse, and brought in a stroller. Both coming and going, staff rushed to help me with the doors. They checked in often without feeling pushy, and were very friendly. Customer service like this is what will make me choose to return, even though it’s farther from home!

Update: 11/19/23 trying to find some snowboard gear for my toddler and they had little intrest. Maybe cause the lack of stock for 80cm board and small boots. Didn't even want to try to order stuff, didnt even try to size her foot. "If you really want to order it you can ask the front desk".Totally the opposite experience when we bought two kayaks.I'll just order online or find a different store closer to my house.

JJ was fantastic to work with!! Rock star!Had an issue with a kayak I purchased and he dove right in and helped me from start to finish! Letting me know my options, being the contact between me and the manufacturer, Sending me tracking information, contacting me to make sure it arrived! Nick was the bomb 💣Got the ski boots of my dreams thanks to him.What a nice fella very knowledgeable… which is essential to buying the right gear.I highly suggest a ski boot with an instep buckle to lock heel in for stability and control.

We really liked it here! The people are awesome and helpful when you need them. They certainly don’t hound you or make you feel pressured in any way. They let you browse and are there the moment you need them for something. The store itself is well kept and their selection is great. For every sort of outdoor activity or gear item they offer a range of prices and quality items that allows financial room for any customer walking thru their door.

Always can count on them to know their stuff! I got a great recommendation for a backpack when shopping for one and went with the recommendation vs what i thought i wanted. They sized me up and had me try packs on and they know from personal experience what sets the products apart from each other. Definitely a great store to go for the outdoorsy type of people and great clothing selection.

My family and I stopped into Bill and Paul's today. Marsh helped us explore canoe options for the family as we are looking to move from our Kayaks into a larger vessel that can accommodate the whole crew. What was originally going to be a quick stop (our first time in the store) turned into an hour conversation with Marsh. He provided us with a wealth of knowledge and personal experiences not only regarding canoes, but several other camping/backpacking tips, tricks, and gear recommendations. We love the store, and Marsh was fantastic. He made us feel at home, which says a lot as we had our overtired 1 year old, and supercharged 3 year old with us. I can tell you, I'll drive right past REI to come see Marsh next time I need hiking shoes, Darn-tough socks, or anything else.

I went in to have the boots I purchased online custom molded. They got me in right away and spent plenty of time with me to make sure the pressure spots were taken care of. Seriously some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Super friendly, and incredibly informative. Highly recommend!

We went in to get my husband new snowboard boots. Super great service with the guy we worked with. Then, we went upstairs to buy/look at coats. When we got up there we asked where all of the men’s coats were. The two guys, one being Scott and the other guy had long redish hair, looked at us and rolled his eyes and said “right here.” With a blunt look on his face, arms leaning on the racks, didn’t offer any help to us to find something specifically that we were looking for or anything. My husband politely asked if there was one in our price range, $300 price range. Scott picks up a tag and says “yeah, this one is $550” we weren’t looking to spend $500-$800 on a coat. My husband looks at him and asks again if there were coats in our price range, Scott then rolls his eyes again and said they’re right here, and then walks away. Never asked what size my husband was to see if they even had his size or if they could order it if they didn’t have his size. When he walked away very rudely he went to the registers, stood behind the counter and continued to then talk about us with the other gentleman as they were looking right at us and laughing. All in all, we felt very judged and out of place with the way they treated us in the apparel section. We were very pleased with the gentleman who helped us downstairs and the lady at the register.

Thanks for the incredible experience of getting my daughter set up for ski season. I visited for a boot adjustment. Ryan, the tech, was a great representative of your business. Value him. The art of boot fitting has become kind of a niche thing not found everywhere as a service, or not done well. I rate Ryan as an artist! His customer engagement skills were top notch, as well as his craft! I interacted with a few other employees during my visit and found them all to be very friendly. Highly recommended!

I purchased over 300.00 worth of rollerblades and asked them to hold it for me. Then I was in and out of the hospital. By the time I was able to pick them up, they had put them back on the shelf. So basically they took the money I paid them.
