We had a bad storm in Grand Ledge, this place was open, even without power. I was greeted at the front of the store by someone who located the chainsaw part i needed. We need more small town service like this in today's world.

I enjoyed my shopping experience I bought a chain saw at Grand Ledge Ace Hardware, the staff is always friendly and helpful and knowledgeable, they have a variety of merchandise, such snowblower, chain saws, blowers, string edges , electrical items, paint supplies, screws, lawn care products, and many other products, come and visit and support local businesses. 😀

Bought a tub spout at Ace in Pennfield, MI where I go to church. It was the wrong one and went to the Grand Ledge store. Plumbing projects take multiple trips, everyone knows that! They refused to exchange the item, stating the stores have different owners and I have to return it where I bought it. That is terrible customer service and I won't pick Ace going forward. I know I can exchange at any big home improvement store!

I’m only giving 3 stars because I’ve had multiple women employees tell me something wasn’t available and didn’t give any effort to look yet i was able to search on my own and locate it. Also they have double charged items multiple times so pay attention to your receipt. The store is well stocked and I’ve had good experiences with the male workers.

For us its a 5 star place. Its the quintessential small hardware store thats close by for my small project needs. For a small store though they have a great selection, much more so than the one i grew up with. There isnt much i wont get here nowadays.

Dude this place straight up rules. You need knife sharpening? They got you. You need plate glass cut to size? They have the tools and the glass. Need a lawnmower tune up? They will do it no problem. They are absolutely amazing and offer services you can't get anywhere else in Lansing. I would be totally lost without them.

They had what we needed, but the people working were not exactly jumping at the chance to help though. Definitely had to chase people down. It's a good place close to the house to get quick things for home repairs.

I actually go into grand ledge from west lansing to visit this Ace. The staff are always knowledgeable and available. I've never had any issues getting whatever random item I need, whether it's bar oil or stainless mesh, they got you covered.

The store was well organized which made things easy to find but when I went to check out the person at the register was on their phone ignoring the line and didn't put it down until we had a back up of 3 people waiting to pay. There was a register closed sign so maybe there was a legitimate reason for this but at least an acknowledgement that she saw us would have helped.

I stopped by here today to pick up some hex bolts to assemble some furniture. I didn't know the exact sizes I needed, but the gentleman working in that area was able to locate exactly what I needed immediately! (It would have taken me forever to pick them out myself - their selection is massive.) Got them home and they fit perfectly. I was also here earlier in the week to have some keys cut, and was helped right away. I love the amazing customer service at this location!

This hardware store is right across from Meijer. Easy to find. Good people working there. Got what you need. Go enough and you'll get to know them by name if ya introduce yourself. Try that at a big box store. AND! There's free theater popped popcorn 🍿.

No help at all! Employees just chatting with each other. Other times they have no clue what they are talking about. Plus prices are much higher then home depot, Lowes, menards. Use to go to ace for good service but lately there is no reason to even step foot there.

I love this store, especially for the one or two item hardware run, or to get keys made. Although the big box stores may have a bigger selection. The people and their advice and knowledge on the questions that I have had are second to none.

Ace is the place! The staff is always friendly and helpful with lots of knowledge. I've visited for a half dozen screws, nuts, and washers; paint; duplicate keys made; window screen repair; lawn mower and snow blower tuneups; hand tools; and more. They were very helpful every time.They now accept UPS shipments. Free handbags of warm concession popcorn available at checkout, just ask!

Do not, I repeat DO NOT get your propane tanks filled here! Major fraud happening.They told me to pay for a 20lb tank upfront but it turns out it wasn't completely empty so I paid too much to fill it. They didn't offer a refund or anything to square the deal. Thank you and have a nice day.Whatever, I won't be back. Take them anywhere else that charge for what they actually put in.Would you like speedway saying you have a 15gal tank and charge you for it but you only need 14gal? That's what these guys are doing with propane.

It's extention convenient for locals, but that comes with a slight bump in price compared to places a few miles away.However, the staff is very nice and knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile, which other stores are sometimes unable to do.

8/23 and 8/25/2020. Two different female cashiers refuse to wear masks inside this retail establishment. One of them tried to get into a shouting match with me yesterday, spewing the HIPPA miss-truths being spread by conservative media. I spoke with the manager and he witnessed the incident yesterday when I just politely asked for someone with a mask to cash me out. He did offer an apology for the employee's behavior towards me.After looking at the current Executive Order in Michigan, this store is in violation of multiple sections (unmasked employees in customer facing positions that cannot be socially distant, no hand sanitizer at the door). I spoke to the Manager this morning and took him the 30 page guidelines from the State of Michigan for retail establishments. He was polite, but shrugged it all off.All of the other employees and customers were wearing masks and are very helpful people. Most employees appear to be in the age range where Covid-19 is a real risk. The same cashier was working today with no mask.
