I rescued a 7 week old puppy and had absolutely no idea what I was in for. I stopped at Chow Hound Pet Supplies on my way to get a load. Terrible with names, but I believe the young man said his name was Tim. He was extremely helpful in selecting a healthy diet, medicine, and training treats for my new travel buddy. Great selection and very knowledgeable. I greatly appreciate the experience and Jethro is happy, too.

I really enjoy the free dog wash, we use this often. I can usually find what I need or have it ordered. The only complaint is the lack of staff on most days. The person trying to stock is tje same person helping customers and checking people out

Friendly staff, love online ordering-quick and convenient! Only improvement/suggestion would be being more competitive on pricing. Diamond Sensitive 30# was quite a bit higher at your location, thank goodness for price match, T.Sup had it for almost $10 less! Kind of defeated same day pick up, however, employees were great and helpful…worth the extra time to get pricing /refund.

The workers here are so helpful and kind. When my fur baby doesn’t like a food I can return it get store credit… so you can have your baby’s try new things without a huge financial risk.They have a TON of other pet supplies as well you can’t go wrong with this location!

We usually have a pretty good experience but tonight we went into buy crickets and Mercedes looked at us with eye contact several times without saying a word. The employee at the counter was helping a customer at first and Mercedes was scanning product. My daughter went up and asked for someone to help us and she slowly came up and asked if we needed crickets and we said yes. She then informed us that they didn't have any. I told her that would have been nice for you to tell us that instead of looking at us several times. She then tried to say she was helping a customer when we watched her the whole time as she was the only one not helping any customers.We had other items we were planning to buy but decided we will go somewhere else to buy them with better customer service. Not having crickets would have been fine with us. Sitting there wasting our time looking at us several times with no greeting or asking us if we need help knowing we were standing in front of the cricket container is not okay.

I have never experienced a more unhelpful store assistant manager in any retail or service industry than the manager here. We signed up for an auto food order and delivery at the suggestion of the store’s cashier several months ago. Since then, we’ve had several issues with orders not being completed, being charged, and the store assistant manager insisting she can’t help us. I have a receipt from online showing payment with an order number and yet she tells me there is nothing she can do about it and passes me off to a customer service number for a refund or further assistance. And to top it off, they have the food we need sitting in the store that they already charged me for. Completely unprofessional experience in every interaction with her.

We have a Sheltie pup. We walked in to get a toy or two for him. Right away we coincidentally ended up seeing a full grown Sheltie dog and the owner I spoke with (not an employee) was very informative about the breed. Then we ended up running in to an employee who got down to my pup’s level to greet him (he is a super shy pup). She asked if we needed help finding anything as well. I will return because customer service is phenomenal!

Waylon had a great time! The staff was great although waylon and I were a little late for bathing hours, the staff Still allowed Waylon to get his bath, and did he need it. After a long work and play day. waylon came out smelling like a new puppy plus he got a new lease collar and bandanna.

Love the dog was station. Saves cleaning up at home. Doubt love that they are commonly low or out of the baby powder scented dog deodorizer, leaving only the cherry aloe scent (I really don't like that scent). Conditioner was only in cherry aloe this time, too. My dog had to have conditioner.I know, I know.... first world problems. 🌎

My boyfriend gets his cat food here, nice place, friendly people. The one concern I have is the chinchilla in the back is $279 and it makes me sad… I think it’s over priced, and lowering the price would give the animal a better life perhaps… note: I wouldn’t of even known there was other animals if it wasn’t for the hearing the birds.

I come here for all of my dog's essentials and they have a great selection of brands to choose from and an awesome rewards program.I went in yesterday for dog food, and the staff were super nice and a young gentleman even carried my large bag of dog food to my car, which is very kind and I am very appreciative.The staff are also so nice and knowledgeable on their products so it's always easy to walk in and ask about anything you might need.They also have local baked dog treats that my dog loves, and there's a giant assortment of these treats to choose from.

I stopped in to get a few items and was greeted as I walked in by an employee named Laney, she was very friendly and upbeat. As I was shopping I heard her also greeting other customers as they came and went. When I went to check out she was right there ready to help. Even when the digital payment option wasn't functioning correctly she was respectful and understanding until the issue was resolved. The five stars are for her specifically, she is a great employee!

Grand Haven Chow Hound always has friendly staff ready to help. They have a wide selection of brands for your pet. They also offer classes, dog washing, and nail trimming. Definitely worth stopping in.

Staff was very helpful and kind. Great products for the pup, selection is looking limited compared to other big box pet stores, but the bar on quality is raised with their inventory. The dog baths are what make this place the best place ever. They have a variety of products to bathe dog with as well as treats to entice your dog to enjoy his spa treatment. There is also a scale to measure your pup as she grows.
