The older employees are nice and seem to understand or at least remember customer service. The younger employees, which there are a lot of, have absolutely no understanding or care for the definition or use of customer service. I’m not sure why it is only this store, but every time I go in, I am almost ran into by a teenage worker at least once and then doesn’t even take the time to say sorry or excuse me. I used to think shopping here meant paying more but getting better service. Now you’re just paying more. The card/app/coupon system is more complicated than it needs to be now. There are three different prices for one item, depending on which you use and on top of that, prices really are the highest around. $9.99 for a 12 pack of soda? Come on. I guess if you’re going to have those prices, the customer service better be damn good. And it’s not. Simply put.

Been coming here for years, and it seems like they’re constantly changing the layout of the store. Used to drive farther to this location just for the healthy/vegetarian section, but now all of those items are scattered throughout the entire store. I’ve been seeing expired items and moldy produce more frequently.Edit: They rearranged the store again, and this time, they have cleaning products/chemicals directly touching food products. There is also a lot of trash and dirt/dust everywhere.

I have been a loyal Kroger shopper for decades but today was my last trip. They do not deserve my business. I’ve seen many stores go through a redesign. Heck I remember when A&P remodeled the week before thanksgiving. AND that was better than the Grand Blanc Kroger store. The bananas are in the bread isle, the pizza kits are in the half empty pet isle with the dog food while should you want cat treats you must search among the pop tarts. I will not be back EVER.

As far as the self checkout goes, I've always had a great experience there. Gina is usually the clerk working when I go in on the weekends and she's super helpful and friendly. She even knows the usual things I buy and brought to my attention that I didn't have that item in my cart! Good customer service is rare these days but Gina goes above and beyond. Good job Gina! The world needs more people like you!

The older employees are the real problem, even the managers. They practice age discrimination on a daily basis by ganging up on the younger employees and degrading them. Do not let your kid work here unless you want them to be harassed and discriminated against on a daily basis. They dont listen to the younger employees either. Not only that but they don't train the younger employees properly so they can keep themselves in power. And of course theres no young people in the office so they take sides with the other older employees and do shady stuff behind the younger employees backs. This should be absolutely unacceptable in any work environment, they need to fix this ASAP.

Would not recommend using the pickup option for this store, I waited an hour for my groceries due to the store being short staffed, there was only one person running orders. I watched as everyone around me received their orders. The wait was long but not the problem. The problem was when the car that pulled up behind me a good 20-30 min after I’ve been waiting, received their order before I received mine. When I called inside to see what was going on we were told there was a problem with the system and my order was not shown. Staff never told me (the only car in the pickup area at that time) that they were having problems with the system. I was told by someone in the store that they would cancel my order and I would be refunded. I called the corporate number a day later and was advised that my order was still pending and was asked if I wanted to cancel it.

Update: had to grab a few things no time to drive to Meijer ( won’t make that mistake again)Same issues long lines. Have to bag your own groceries. Store stank, it’s foul stale, mildew odor. Then after getting home the bag of mandarine oranges had mold all over several that were not seen till the bag was opened.Only two things can be done, get rid of all current management and start fresh, or just let VGs buy you out. Also the pictures added “by owner” are not of the outside nor of the inside of this Grand Blanc store. Lies lies and more liesThis Kroger has to be the worst grocery store around. The management is horrible and after writing an email to the executive level people I was advised to go in and speak to the store manager. The very person I was complaining about to them. As the manager acted like I was wasting their time when I made a complaint of rotten and outdated food in the produce section. We had also bought some meat that was on sale, when it thawed it smelled like road kill.We made trip to another Kroger to get something when we were at a relatives and noticed a substantial price difference of some things we bought. I enquired about this in my email to the executives. The lady actually admitted that they do this do they can “compete” with other stores. So since there is no other grocery store in Grand Blanc, the Kroger corporate people price gouge us.The store is also not very clean and spills are just left until they dry up. There was the smell of raw sewage in the middle of the store, I was told by the regional manager there was some type of pipe issue. So instead of closing the store and fixing. The left it open for at least two weeks.Another big thing is the cashiers have to bag all the groceries they ring up. Baggers are few and far between. And how can a person watch to make sure what they are buying is charged correctly if they are bagging their own groceries? This adds to the already long wait times. The Meijer on Hill Rd. A few miles away, but fresh produce, meat, with a much better selection. The store is really clean.

Horrible experience. Cashier named jennafer kept talking to my 10 year old son asking him what he'd do if he found out his family had lied to him about who his parents are and continued to follow him around the store when he was clearly uncomfortable. this woman is very creepy beware with your children!! never coming here again.

This location has been mostly great. Great management resolution, fast and helpful employees working "kroger pick-up". They have been low on cuts of beef last couple weeks but otherwise great grocery.

This place used to be good. Unfortunately, customer service has been nothing other than terrible ! The workers there look miserable and act like it too! Rude and disrespectful!I’m not going to step a food there anymore !

Clean store and pretty busy. Enjoyable deli area. Note: An attempt to withdraw funds via debit card while paying your bill demands a .50 fee.

Another awful check out experience. I avoid this store in any case other than an emergency. Staff back and forth 4 times holding me up with 6 items. Idea for you….charge a 10% service fee for an actual checkout process I’d pay it. Won’t be back anytime soon.

I had purchased some chips on my mother’s behalf and the sale didn’t ring up properly. They had guest services closed early and clearly had their hands full. My mother began to get upset and demanded I speak with a manager. All the staff + manager were very kind and understanding of the situation I was in. The problem got resolved in a timely manner and I really appreciate their efforts. I wish I had gotten their names so I could leave a shout-out, but thank you to the manager and the staff who assisted me! :)

One cashier open with 15 people waiting in line. 4 self scans open with 10 people waiting in line. 2 of the people at self scan had full shopping carts. One of them was chit chatting with another customer and every now and then scanning an item, obviously not caring how long the line was getting. You can tell the few employees that are there hate their jobs. This is not unusual which is why I hardly ever go there. But it's extremely frustrating that when I do go there because I need to pick up a few items, it takes longer to go through the checkout than it did to do my shopping. They need more cashiers for the people who will not ever understand how to use self scan, so they stop holding up the process for those of us who want to get out of there quickly. Every time I come out of that store I'm annoyed. More than half the time, I end up walking out and doing my shopping somewhere else. The store on Bristol Rd isn't nearly as bad. Don't know why the Grand Blanc store can't get their act together.

I have had multiple problems with prices not ringing up as advertised on the shelf. When I bring it up, they're usually so short staffed that I have to run around and take a picture of the advertised price to bring back to them. Usually half the U-scans are closed so there are super long lines at them. Produce goes bad really quickly. One of my least favorite Krogers.

Someone at the Corporate level of Kroger needs to make some drastic changes in the management of the Grand Blanc store! It is so poorly managed and shopping there is very frustrating and time consuming. Today there was a line of at least 12 to 15 people waiting to go through self checkout! Staffed checkout lanes were also backed way up. This store is fortunate that there is no competition anywhere near because if there was they would be out of business!! Shameful!!

UPDATE: 4 months later and it’s no better, maybe worse. Minimal checkouts open at any given time, forcing people to wait in lines. I have two items but have to wait 5 minutes to check out because people with full carts are using the U-Scans, because there is only ONE regular lane open.12 old U-Scan stations, 3 new and 2 belt style U-Scans are available at this store. All 12 of the old (better) U-Scans are closed as of my 9AM shopping trip, one of the 3 new ones is broken down, both belt lanes are taking forever because nobody is bagging while you scan and the divider is broken so it takes twice as long, and ONE attendant at the regular checkout lanes who is in no hurry.I’m going to Davison Kroger from now on. Whoever managers the GB store seems like the type of person who only looks at ideas as they’re written down and doesn’t look at them when they’re in practice. The checkout organization here is the worst of any store I’ve ever been to.Original review:I understand that adding additional self checkout kiosks was intended to help alleviate the long lines, but the decision to close the OLD self checkouts at night is baffling. I do night shopping to avoid the crowds, and since there’s only one cashier lane open at night, I’ve always used self checkout. The new kiosks only have space for 4 bags of groceries with no shelf for additional (like the old ones have), and the self operated belt checkouts still require you to bag your own groceries which ends up taking LONGER since you have to scan, THEN bag rather than bag as you go.Poorly implemented idea. Please close the new, fancy checkouts at night and reopen the old ones.

If zero stars were an option I would take it. It has been a while since I have step foot in a Kroger's and I now remember why, except it's 10 times worse. The set up is annoying. I had their daily customers tell me they too still have a hard time finding things. There wasn't a single employee to be found to ask for help on the floor. Prices are total garbage, you are just paying for the brand. And to top it all off I waited in line for over 10 minutes only to try and do self checkout, to just be ignored by the workers there when I needed assistance. There was literally 3 employees near me and it took a solid 3-5 minutes of them just standing there talking to each other before they when considered people might need their assistance!!!

Pickup orders are not reliable. Twice my orders have not been filled at all. Once because staff did not show up for work and today because of a computer issue. Neither time was I informed in advance. Rather I found out after my arrival. When I ask "Joe" the store manager about why no call. He told me they can't be expected to make calls. Poor customer service Joe, poor customer service.

I love this Kroger. As everyone knows, prices for everything have skyrocketed- every cent counts and when I shop I constantly price check every store to find the best deal.this Kroger in particular has such great sales weekly. I’ve never seen myself buying toilet paper from a grocery store because normally it is much more expensive then any other store- especially Walmart. However I constantly find Kroger beating Walmarts prices substantially and their products are always much fresher. In this economy especially, I am grateful this place looks out for their community 🙏

This is a very nice Kroger, layout is similar to others with fresh produce, Sushi Bar, Deli, Bakery and grocery. This store also includes more than usual durable goods for a Kroger. Far from being a Walmart, more than just grocery. During busy times this Kroger has a very challenging parking lot.

Visiting Grand Blanc Kroger is a catch 22 for me because I love coming here for the fresh produce, ethnic food options, and it’s close to my home, but I also dread coming here, because I’m almost always addressed with a poor attitude and watched like I’m trying to steal something, although no one seems to be eager to interact when help is needed. I’m not sure if it’s racism, or my face, but today, a manager(or an employee that appeared to be a manager)walked past watching me as I was deciding on what juice I wanted. To put it in perspective, I arrived there at 9pm so the store wasn’t very occupied. I noticed 2 other employees watching me, but they never said hello or asked if I needed help. Then, the “manager” walked past in the juice aisle, watching, again not speaking or offering help. I watched him back and he did no work in the aisle. It was clear he walked past to watch me, as if I was stealing juice. I hope they’re employees correct their unpleasant attitudes and what is appearing to be prejudice behavior towards customers like myself. What a shame!

Closes a little early for my liking, but it’s a really good grocery store. Clean, decent people, and is very convenient. Stocks pretty frequently too. Fair prices, especially for Kroger plus members, and the gas rewards are great. 4 stars.

Not sure why Steve has a manager position, the way he treats his employees is far from okay. He needs to learn to keep his mouth shut if he has nothing nice to say. Also, they apparently they have problems paying their employees the wages they've rightfully earned. I trusted Kroger to pay me in a timely manner, which is why i quit my other job to work here. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. And then management has the audacity to say I went home on purpose, when I had to go donate blood/plasma just to afford rent because they did not pay me. Sorry, at least i know if I donate plasma ill have money to pay rent and put food on the table. By the time kroger pays me ill be starved and evicted. They are about to catch a lawsuit. Management is a joke. Most all of the management personnel present themselves in a very condescending manner towards their employees, at this point i really don't think any of them deserve a managerial position. Constant horror stories amongst employees about Kroger not paying them correctly. Including me, whos rent is now late with 2 late fees costing me more than 200$ all because I chose to work at Kroger, and have been working over a month now with no pay. The managers dont care about us, only performance. This is a sad environment, get your groceries and get out.
