They had what I needed and I really appreciated the guy coming to help me. But you are always supposed to feel welcome coming into a store. The girl working at the front just stared at me as I proceeded to smile a friendly smile. It's all about customer service! Otherwise they'd have 5 stars

Lost a key between deck slats and went to buy a magnet to get it out. I asked an employee to test it out on a similar key and it didn’t work, so multiple employees helped me try out different solutions to reach the key. Ended up buying a coiled grabber tool at the suggestion of a manager which worked perfectly on the first try. I really appreciated the employees’ attention and help. I was so stressed!!

LAZY EMPLOYEES who waste your time and don't care! Called today and the girls told me they had sand for pool filters. I drove 25 mins only to show up and have two young ladies who acted like I was bothering them when I asked for help and NO SAND! I asked them where sand was and she just points and says it's over there...I can't find it and return and ask her to help me where she then HUFFS at me and snatches her charger out of the wall (she is on her phone the whole time) and calls someone else to help me. He then informs me they have been out of sand...so they didn't even check when I called and didnt care they wasted my time. The young girls at the register should be fired and give the job to someone who wants it and will actually HELP your customers vs. Sitting on their phones. I'll NEVER go back to this place. What a joke!

Normally I love this ace for small items for its overall convenience. But today I came in to get a key copied. And the manager on today was called over to assist with this, I’m assuming some sort of login was needed. He came over, and I guess the machine was broke. Nothing was ever told to me why my key couldn’t be copied. But also the hand copier was right next to the machine key copier. And personally, if you’re a manager of a store, you should know that store inside and out and know how to perform every task an employee would be asked to do at that store. But okay, this manager might not have this skill, that’s not really my issue. There was no communication between me and him. And he also never said anything to his employees, he just walked away and let his cashiers deal with me, which they did very professionally. But this manager was awful at multiple areas of his job.

Ace is the best hardware store and I have been to many locations and in my opinion this one is the best, the staff is always kind and they always greet me with a smile and hello, they always help me make sure I have the the right item I need, based on my description of what I want to repair or replace, also there is plenty of parking, it's always clean and the items are organized and easy to find.

I love shopping here. Amazingly friendly employees who are knowledgeable about the hardware products they sell. Great personal service like glass cutting and screen installation. I know many by name, and am always treated great when I shop there. Owner cares about customer safety, working through the pandemic. I highly recommend this Ace location.

About a month or so ago I had Ace repair a sliding screen door and their turn around time was delayed to about 2 weeks. It was affordable and done right. Last night, my 6 year old walked completely through the screen door and ripped it all out of the tracking...AGAIN. My fiancee and I FREAKED OUT because we are in the process of moving out and needed it fixed by this MONDAY, the last day being in the house. Knowing they had a 2 week turnaround the last time we had it fixed, we were nervous it wouldn't get done. I called this morning and spoke to Ross, let him know the situation and he said he could probably fix it in just a few minutes. My fiancee took the screen door up and Ross wasn't there but Ross told us to ask for Doug, the Owner. Doug was able to help my fiancee and fixed the screen FOR FREE! My fiancee also bought a few other things while he was there and said it was a great experience and asked me to post a good review to make sure Doug knew how much we appreciated his help!

Always try to support local small business and visit here a few times a month. Not a fan of the big box stores but today I was a little caught off guard when I walked in and was greeted with "Hi, I don't mean to rush you but we close in 2 minutes...." I literally walked no more than 3 feet in before getting hit with that. If you weren't trying to make me feel rushed, you did a pretty bad job of it. Was so caught off guard and offended by that I just left and am on my way to Home Depot. Maybe I am just having a bad day but that was definitely not the greeting that I expected.

I have always received great service from this location. The staff have been a great help with all of the random home repair questions I've had. They are really good at asking if you need any help and guiding you to the correct location. There is hardly ever any wait time and the store is kept clean.

Great store with almost always well versed staff in most general repair topics. No matter what they can tell you exactly where everything is in the store off the top of their heads, which is pretty impressed. I always look for older most likely previously retired contractors with a wealth of knowledge to help with projects, wether it's kids school projects or painting a deck.

This is your typical Ace store with the usual selection of hardware products. The store is usually well stocked and the employees are generally helpful, but as as always, it depends on the employee. It is locally owned and operated so as you would expect, prices can be bit higher than than your typical big box store, but they are still fair. A good place to shop for home improvement needs.

Rented a carpet cleaner from here,, Amy was very helpful, she showed me where they are located (right by the entrance) and helped me through a speedy checkout and pick out the carpet cleaning solution for my needs. The spot-remover worked well and the machine worked great. Renting, using, and returning the carpet cleaner was a breeze. Fantastic experience.

I shop at Ace Hardware in Grand Blanc because of the people! The employees there are always willing to help with a smile on their face. I have found the same to be true when I am in the Durand area. The Ace Hardware there is also filled with wonderful employees! The people that do the hiring at these stores are doing a wonderful job! Thank you!
