This place is trashed. Cigarette butts all over. A broke down car in the parking lot. Inside is dirty boxes all over, employees dont care. The must be an affiliate of tows on 18 mile.. does AGO own them also or are the competing for some kind of trophy

Always Trash All Over The Parking Lot And Around The Dumpster And Front Of Store Entrance..The Store Is Always Overloaded With Stuff In The Aisles And The Shelves Are Always A Mess Like The Workers Just Dump Everything Onto Them Instead Of Neatly Organizing It..Never Anyone At The Unlocked Register So Anyone Could Just Walk In And Get Into The Cash And All And The Workers Wouldn't Know Because They Are Usually Outside Smoking Or In The Back Of The Store On Their Phone..Dollar General Has The Worst Workers As None Of Them Have Any Communication Skills And Don't Greet The Customers Nor Ask If They Need Help Or Anything..Most Workers Are Rude..Always On Their Phones Texting Or Talking To People As The Line Of Customers Grows..I've Stood In Line At Gowen Dollar General For 20 Minutes One Time Just Waiting To Check Out As The Workers Are Never Behind Register..

This store was so nice when it opened. Now you wait in line for 20 minutes while 1 cashier is on the phone and one is desperately trying to keep up. Additionally there are parts of the store that have not been stocked in months. It gets dirtier by the day and never has what I need anymore and of they do, I have to wait forever to pay and get out. What a waste of a good corn field.

I like the staff at this Dollar General. They have all been super friendly. The place is pretty clean. The aisles are a little narrow but that's not anything anyone can control.

I was staying at the camp nearby & had forgotten to pack some things. Made a quick trip & found everything I needed and more. Isles in the store are a bit narrow, but that means they have more things to choose from. I can deal with smaller isles as long as I can find the things I need. This store literally has everything!

I always have great customer service, friendly people. Always clean and well stocked of everything I need. I live right down the road, very convenient for me. I shop there 3-5 times every week. I love it there.

This is a nice, convenient store and has just about everything. Unfortunately, the cashier did not have a mask on, and when asked where it was she said “in the back, in my bag”. ????The front door is clearly marked for masks!!!Bad management????

cashier did not wear a mask, that is disappointing. The store is clean but sometimes the cashier is in the back and you have to wait until they come back to pay. Store is in a convenient location.

Need to have better stock in all cooler/freezer selections and that when it is stocked everything is warm. But that goes for all dollar general's not just gowen. However the best one is cedar springs, only if all of them had the coolers stocked all the time like they actually should be. Maybe more business would come that way.

I love the store itself, but where I live in Gowen there are all new employees and they are AWFUL!!!! Horrible customer service, and 1 girl that's a key holder walks around with her nose in the air like she's cool or better then everyone, including customer's....Although I'm really not sure why!

The employees here care! Was on a hunt for lightstick necklaces...puppy, that I wanted to keep track of at a bonfire...the cashier was awesome! ran to get them for me! Thank you Gowen DG for going the extra 😊

Clean store, staff was friendly and accommodating to my needs. They seem to have just about everything you would need. I would recommend this place if you need stuff for you camping trip.

Dollar General Is Absolutely Awsome, This One is Located in Gowen, Mi I miss This one Becuz I remeber One time Out of the 500,000 Times I went in this one there Was that 1 Time I remember Most, I brought a Full cup of Coffee, in with me And I set it down when I Went to proceed To set the items On the counter! and As she started Sliding Items To scan, She Accidentally Grabbed my full cup Of Coffee, And She Went to Scan It, And it Went Everywhere I felt Very Embarrassed, But she literally Actted Like Nothing Happend, And So It made Me feel Better She New what Happend And I thank her Alot for that, I definitely Recommend!! This location is very clean and friendly. As with all Dollar Generals some things are a good deal and some things are not. The location is convenient when I don't want to go into town.

Due to my location, this store is very convenient . That been said, it's a Dollar General, ok service but not great, staff is ok but not great either, the store is a little dark and the prices are reasonable.

90 percent of the time when shopping at the Gowen, Mi store I am charged the incorrect price. The scanner is not ringing the price that is listed on the shelf. Isn't there a law against this?? Frustrating.

Always have what I'm looking for, as well as things I didn't know I needed/ wanted. The only drawback is that it's a little more pricey than going to a bigger store in town.

Friendly staff, has basic selection of items that majority of the DG stores carry. Very convient for locals so we don't have to drive to town for certain items.

One of The Workers was out side smokeing a cigerette useing one of the chairs they had out for sale out front. Im sure no one wants to buy a chair that reaks of smoke.
